My first time coming here with my family and it did not disappoint. The place had very loud music and it was full, but they still served us in a timely manner. Mmmm I really wanted to love this place !!! So I'm really sad that it didn't meet any standards... We got our cold ass queso before we even got waters that we asked for when we ordered the queso ... After the queso had been at our table for about 10 min the server came to ask if we needed anything ... yes , the waters we asked for when we sat down 20 minutes ago. Underwhelming. This place is normally packed, but on New Year's eve, there was no waiting. The first problem, it is described as a Mexican and seafood restaurant. No, it is Mexican seafood. No beef tacos here. Shrimp tacos yes, but standard fare Mexican food that one would expect it is not. We were brought some dry and flavorless bread, with enough fake butter for one and some pickled carrots. I don't get the carrots, I suspect it is common south of the border. Soft drinks were 16 ounce bottles, not fountain drinks. There is an option to have guacamole made table side. My wife enjoyed that very much, that is when the chips arrived. No chips and salsa like most Mexican eateries. Service was poor. The young lady was interested in the other table with young men, and she even check on my son, but generally poor. My shrimp was tasty, the mixed seafood my wife and son ate was also generally good, but the octopus was very tough. This is the type of place some people will love. There is a stage for live music, as if the place wasn't loud enough. It's just not my kind of place. read more

So we finally got to try this place and I'm giving it 4 stars. We visited with a family of 4 with one toddler. It was much larger than I anticipated but it's a great environment for families, drinks with friends or a casual date with your partner. (Too loud for anything intimate and definitely not fancy). Food was better than I expected. Highly recommend the margaritas and the Cazuela de Mariscos! It was absolutely delicious. We also tried the mixed empanadas which were so incredibly yummy as well as the fish playa azul. It was also delicious but my husband and I were both so into the cazuelo that we probably didn't give it enough attention for how flavorful and delicious it was. We ended the night with tre leches and churros. Churros were a hit with everyone. I was less than impressed with the Tres Leches but I'm probably bias for homemade. Things to know- environment is loud! Worked out perfect for a loud toddler as his voice was drowned out. Services is slow- our poor waitress has like 6 tables that all seemed to get sat simultaneously. Not her fault as everywhere is understaffed and a constant flood of people were in the door. Expect to spend 1.5 hours there for food and drinks. We got sat at 5:45 on a Friday and didn't eat until 630. But there is good live music and plenty of TVs to keep you occupied and the bartenders got the drinks out fast. Happy hour prices are great too. Highly recommend. It was a perfect meal and evening to end a long work week!! Looking forward to our next visit. read more

For the price one pays you expect a little more. The margarita was good, that's about it. Service was Ok, although the hostess seemed like she was having a bad day not one single smile or welcome nothing! There were some musicians singing and the songs were good but the speaker was right next to us and extremely loud so we could barely hear anything, I couldn't even hear myself order.
