I swear I could've probably done everything myself. Martha in specific is very unprofessional, rude and aggressive. I asked for very simple nails and got HORRIFIC nails. They look so uneven and rushed (which they were). She was talking on the phone the entire time. On top of that, she overcharged me so much. Everyone saying that they recommend her are probably her friends because I'm not sure if she even has a proper license to be doing nails. She had done a pedicure before me and she didn't even wash her hands after before touching my hands. No wonder everyone is getting fungus on their nails. Poor service If you don't like the way your nails look. They get mad and yell at you. The customer should get what she wants and how she wants them to look. The paying customer is there to get a service. Not be yelled at and argued with. That's not right. Nails are expensive and should be how the customer is asking. It is too bad nail salons don't provide good service. They get upset easily once you're in the chair and they hurt you with the mechanical filer. It's not them paying. The only reason I came to this establishment was because I had a gift card that I needed to use. I called days ahead To book an appointment and the person on the phone scheduled me for a 10 AM Thursday. When I arrived there was just a front desk person (Which I assume was the owner) and then one other person in the back. They had me sit next to the receptionist as she was still busy taking calls. It took a while for her to even touch my feet and the water was cold. When I mentioned it, they said it was because "still the morning ". The jets inside the water were not turned on and my feet were soaking in cold water. I took almost about an hour to get my feet done as she kept taking calls and writing down appointments on a note pad while touching my feet. I went in and the spa chairs are really comfortable and clean !! My services were a gel pedicure with callous remover and a gel manicure the pedicure lady was really nice and did a really good job removing the callus the gel polish looks nice some spots touching my skin but you can't even notice it still looks nice the manicure lady did a great job did a perfect job !! I didn't get her name ... overall I really enjoyed my time at vida spa they did a great job with my gel pedicure and manicure .. ......update The pedicure lady cut me very little almost no blood , you know sometimes it happens but 8 days later it hurts ouch hopefully it heals fast cuz it's pretty painful to the touch ... but my gel polish is still looking pretty ...update I went in again and this time the Hispanic lady in the front next to the hairstylist did my acrylics ...I usually get gel mani and I decided to get acrylic nails this time she did not do well really bumpy and not smooth they had lint stuck to them she didn't ask me to wash my hands after the filling ...after I paid and left her a tip she told me oh I took of cuticles so that's extra $5 dollars um ??i didn't ask for that and my cuticles looked exactly the same !!! I've been here a few times already and have had my nails done by two techs. I've only gone for gel manis and the times I've gone the techs do a decent job -- if she's available I'd recommend you ask for Martha. (She's the only reason I could justify giving two stars.) The polishes seem to be quite old and start to chip pretty quickly -- which given the price tag that comes with gel manis is not something you'd expect. If you decide to come be sure to leave your name and color numbers as they give a short grace period to have chips fixed. (Which trust me, you'll probably need.) The owner is also pretty sneaky when it comes to up charges; I went in on one occasion and she was helping me out with the colors. I asked if I could use three colors, no fancy designs, just the polishes and she said yes. When I was finished and was ready to pay, the nail tech gave her the fee to charge and straight away she contradicted by piping in with "three colors, two dollars more." If you're going to charge for use of extra colors, it should be something you should disclose to the client when they ask if they can have more than one color. Sneaking in the charge at the end is unethical, ESPECIALLY when the nail tech has already quoted a different price. (Mind you, I don't mind paying extra for what I want, but I found this off putting.) Tonight's experience has only soured my opinion of the business more so after an employee basically had to demand to be paid appropriate wages. As much as I appreciate Martha's work, I'll be taking my business elsewhere with business owners who don't sneak in up charges and have better quality polishes. read more

I told her it was my first time & she made me feel better about it, my problem is that my lips aren't super smooth, she left some stray hairs. And on the top area there are also a good amount of stray hairs. EDIT: the owner contacted me and offered me a complimentary wax to makeup for my first Brazilian wax experience and I went. However, after trying European Wax Center, I would NOT recommend Vida Spa until they step up their sanitation conditions. Neither the owner nor the other waxer used gloves while waxing me. They also used the same stick the whole time (double dipping into their wax). read more
