Been coming here for a while. Mostly due to how close it is. It is always a rush. This past time I just couldn't stand it anymore. I made an appointment for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The owner, Vivian took my appointment over the phone. She even called me a day before to confirm I wanted a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I get my nails done with Nena she is great but then she is like "okay bye have a nice day". Wait a minute I also need my pedicure. Turns out Vivian messed up and didn't relay the message that I wanted a pedicure too. So now I can either leave with my white nails and red toes (from my previous appointment) or I wait for anyone to do my pedicure. I get Martha. She was finishing the nails on a customer and clearly didn't want to do my pedicure so I said forget I'll just leave. But Vivian not wanting to lose a sale, kept telling Martha to do my pedicure. Martha did a horrible job. I can't blame her as she didn't even want to do my pedicure but it really showed. She grabbed my legs aggressively and didn't even cut my nails. Her pedicure was very sloppy. I know she didn't want to do my pedicure but she didn't have to be so unprofessional. As if this wasn't enough, Vivian then wants to charge me so she can close her register. Since my appointment was at 6:30pm and it's now 8pm and I'm barely half way done with my pedicure. Vivian charges my debit card then realizes I got builder gel so has to charge me again. Now, I wait to see if I get the first charge reversed. This place usually is rush rush rush due to the owner but this was by far my worst experience. Refund update - I never get the charge reversed on my card so after a week of continuing to call and inform Vivian I just show up to the salon and she finally gives me my refund in cash. After a week - the gel on my nails start chipping. I really believe the owner tries to cut costs whenever she can and uses cheap polishes. I am never coming back to the salon. I've never experienced bad customer service in my life. I brought my sister here to kill some time and get a quick pedi while we waited for her new phone down the street from sprint. I only came in for a polish change as she just wanted a regular pedicure... the nail tech lady was trying to get her spend more despite that my sister wasn't interested in what ever deluxe services she was offering. Listen to your clients!!!!!!! My sister said NO thank you doesn't mean YES. The lady comes out with hot rocks, never even tested them to make sure they weren't too hot and just puts them on my sisters ankle, my sister screams .... after she told you no . This is my GO-TO place for everything from spa treatments, massages and hair cuts. Ive been coming yo VIDA SPA for 7 years and constantly have amazing customer service. Vivian is VERY accommodating and friendly. My whole family come here; sister, mother, aunts and cousins. I always make my appointments in advance but even when I don't my wait is never longer than 15-20 mins. The massages are to die for. So good I always fall asleep lol. My EYEBROWS are always done exactly the way I LOVE them because they listen to what you want and execute perfectly. Vivian always makes sure the spa is clean and sanitized. DO NOT COME HERE!!! If I could 0 stars iI got a full acrylic set and all my fingers became infected after a week. I went back to the salon to get them removed because it felt like my fingers were going to explode. The receptionist was very understanding and was helpful, but the owner Vivian was terrible. At first she said she will remove them free of charge and will REFUND me. But as soon as I sit down none of the other nail techs wanted to remove the nails. Vivian ended up doing this. But as soon as she starts drilling on my nails the receptionist comes to me to sign a paper that the salon is not at fault in order for me to get a refund. Vivian began saying that I will NOT be getting a refund because it's not the salons fault but rather my fault because I'm allergic to acrylic. I began to argue with her because I've had acrylics done before elsewhere. Therefore, no I am not allergic to acrylics. And she still wanted to charge me to get them removed even though it was the salon's nail tech CRISTY who did this nails with either dirty products and un-sanitized tools. Vivian did not finish removing my nails. I ended up going to URGENT CARE because my fingers were very irritated and pus was coming out under my nail. The doctor told me this is not an allergic reaction but a infection because the salon used something dirty. Vivian said this is not her fault because she did not personally work on my nails. The first was for a massage; the therapist just pounded my body and thought that was supposed to be a relaxing therapeutic Swedish massage! I was so turned off I decided that salon was not for me. Three years have passed since then so I decided a few days ago to try them for a manicure and pedicure. Incredible...Just very poor customer service by the technicians--an employee/contractor and the owner herself--and very poor work on the services overall (mani-pedis entail several steps...lack of thoroughness and professional work--SO disappointing). And for their mediocre work, I was overcharged, which was a repulsive shock. Both my experiences at this salon have been ordeals rather than relaxing, pleasurable enhancements to my well-being salons are expected to be. It's a rip-off.
