I have good and bad feedback when it comes to Saro. I'll start with the good, because they are worth mentioning. Saro has amazing equipment. (From what I can tell, I don't know too much about camera's). His camera and boom (sound) cost over $4,000. (What he told me) The quality looks great, and he can fade in your name at the end which looks really cool and professional. Also, he is great with working with your schedule! I was in such a bind since I only had 2 days to film something, and he definitely worked around my schedule. Here's where things were not as good... He gives you three takes... even if something goes wrong. The first thing to go wrong was Saro messing up his lines. He dropped his line, but did recover and keep going after a long pause of trying to find where he was. Not only was it distracting but it is obvious in the video. All in all, I don't think it will matter too much, since I wasn't the person messing up, but it was a little distracting. He also didn't really seem to care much about it. He commented on it, laughing, saying it "worked" and made the scene funny. Eh, whatever, it wasn't horrible. All in all, the experience was ok. Next time I'll probably go somewhere that you pay for time rather than 3 takes, unless the three takes leaves room for errors..especially on the videographers side! Argentum offers their casting suite for only $35, and they give you 30 minutes. That's about how long my session took with Saro, including him uploading the video. (Argentum doesn't charge for the time it takes to upload the video). They also provide a reader, or you can use your own. Fyi - you can't bring your own reader to Saro, he is your reader. The downside to Argentum is that they have limited hours and their slots tend to fill up fast! Saro is really good at working with your schedule. read more
