I can only give the highest review to Vieques Air Link. My husband and I recently flew our 4 children to Vieques from Ceiba. Not only was the flight on time, safe, and comfortable, but the customer service we received went above and beyond what we've ever gotten from a large airline. When we arrived at Ceiba from San Juan, we realized we'd picked up the wrong suitcase from the San Juan baggage claim (meaning we would have no vacation clothes!). Noemi from the Vieques Air Link counter in Ceiba not only contacted San Juan for us, but she also ensured that our bag was found and shipped directly from San Juan to Vieques. It arrived in Vieques before we did!! On the trip home, my son left his backpack in the taxi from Ceiba to San Juan. Having no one else to call for help, we again contacted Vieques Air Link. Clarista helped us find the taxi driver, found the backpack, and is now shipping it back to the states for us. I've never written a Yelp review - but it seemed like I had to find a way to say Thank You Vieques Air Link! I wish everyone we dealt with in our travels was as helpful as you were to our family. read more

I used them to travel to Vieques. The staff, where friendly, responsive. Very patient with everyone. The only thing that really sucked about this airport is there is no food. Only a candy machine . So make sure you grab a bucket of chicken on the way. There are tons of fast food places off of the highway and the taxi guys don't mind stopping for a few minutes. read more

We flew from Vieques to Ciebo for less than $40 per person. The flight was on time and our luggage arrived with us. Great views from plane, competent staff and pilot. Overall it was great and we would use again. I will mention that you will get charged per pound for extra luggage. read more

They are open on Sunday. Waiting for plane at Ceiba (RVR). Take luquillo taxi from SJU and save almost $100 on airfare. about $36 each way from RVR to VQS. Cheaper than flying from Puerto Rico. Save some bucks and fly from here. read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had with any airline. They managed to lose my bag on a six person flight which was only ten minutes long. After calling for weeks I finally gave up ever getting my bag back. Every call I made I was treated disrespectfully and with rudeness. I have never experienced this horrible type of customer service. Everyone do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this airline. It cost me hundreds of dollars and many headaches!!! read more

We booked while on vacation to travel to Culebra. This airline is only worth it if you are a local. We had our flight cancelled due to weather and we only got a credit to use with the airline for a year and not a reimbursement to our credit card. There is nothing we can do with a credit, since we do not live there and will not go back before the one year that the credit lasts. read more

Be forewarned if you're considering Vieques Air Link! We had reserved a flight from San Juan to Vieques through VAL. Although the weather was inclement, we were informed that we had to show up to the airport the day of to find out whether or not they would fly. Nobody answered the phone at VAL the day of our flight, and upon our arrival to the airport we soon realized nobody was even at their desk. We only learned of their flight cancellations through a representative of a rival airline (Air Sunshine). I should note that Air Sunshine was still flying out that day. Since then, it was been a nightmare trying to even get in touch with the company. After a full week of emails and unreturned phone calls, they sent an email to inform us that they would give us "credit" towards another flight and not a refund. I suggest trying another airline, or simply not paying until the day of and you're assured of actually getting on the plane. read more

Flight is late and nobody knows what's going on. I purchased the flight to avoid getting up early to buy a ferry ticket, but at this point I still woke up at 5am but paid $46 per person each way. Return trip was fine. read more

paid $50 for a flight from culebra back to ceiba... first time on a plane that small so really didn't know what to expect.. wasn't too bad tho , definitely beat the 45 min ferry ride read more

Smooth easy flight to and from Vieques. We left from Ceiba. Everything went according to schedule - online booking, check in and the flight. The trip itself was a whopping eight minutes and what a spectacular view. We pack light, so it was a great value. Don't forget your earplugs. :-) read more

No communication with passengers with delays.....bald tires on planes and overall poor customer service.....definitely would not use again.

Our flight from Ceiba to Vieques was delayed for half an hour. On the flight from Vieques to Ceiba, they shipped our luggage to San Juan by mistake! We had to wait in the Ceiba airport for more than one hour for someone to drive our luggage from san juan to ceiba! When dealing with customer service they are just aweful aweful aweful! Terrible airline. Never fly with them again! read more

Poor customer service. The airlines doesn't explain that any weight over 25 pounds is $1 lb. we ended up paying and extra $50 for a 10 minute flight from Ceiba to Vieques. It's hard to get in touch with the airline via phone. read more

We took a cab from SJU to Isla Verde Airport to catch a flight to Vieques with VAL. (from what I found, this was a way cheaper option that flying from SJU to Vieques). It was a beautiful flight, about 30 minutes long, and the landing was smooth as butter! read more

Hard to complain about something so cool. I'm a student pilot, training to be a private pilot and I love anything airplane. We flew out of Ceiba to Vieques and back again and I so badly want to do it again!! The flight out went early because all 8 of us were there. I was watching the gauges and we flew at about 2000 feet and around 100 indicated airspeed, it was perfect. Coming back the airport on Vieques is SO NICE I love it. There was apparently an issue with the Vieques Ferry so there was more Air Charters so we were late leaving Vieques, we left about 6:12pm when the flight was at 6 but that was OK I enjoyed watching the planes come and go at the airport. Cute little baggage carousel at the Vieques Airport, I laughed when I saw it. I hope none of these airports ever change. No tower, the pilots control the air there, I like that. Hassle free flying, ALL airport experiences should be like this was. On the way back I don't recall the name of the pilot (6pm flight out on Fri, May 27, 2016) at first I didn't think I would like him because he seemed loud and abrupt but turns out he's an awesome pilot and answered all my questions I had about the aircraft, our altitude, airspeed etc. He got that bird in the air in a heartbeat and got us back and on the ground in less than 6 minutes, I was impressed. My partner and I recently traveled VAL, and were very disappointed with an opportunity that we feel was missed on part of their customer service. We suffered flight issues and delays that were out of our control, causing us to miss our connecting flight to Vieques. Although the attendant at the counter was very nice, they were very strict with their "no show" policy and charged us the entire one way fare again, rather than just the change flight fees. Wanting to just get to our destination, we had no choice but to re-pay the fee. The flight was comfortable, it was a smooth ride, but to be made to pay the entire one way fare again, for an empty flight that was making it's way to Vieques anyway, was a little hard to swallow. I emailed my concern, requesting to be refunded all but the change flight fees, and heard nothing back for three weeks. I then mailed a letter, asking for a response, only to receive a short email, with a blanket statement of "no" and a copy and paste of their no show policy. It was our first time flying VAL, and now probably our last, and I would NOT recommend this airline to any friends. read more
