Combo Chicken Bun innards shot
Jason C.

I would give this place 3.5 stars. I loved how casual it was, and things were fairly well-priced. My sautéed tofu banh mi was super tasty. My chicken combo bun was kind of dry which I found disappointing. I'd stick to the banh mi myself in the future.

Inside the restaurant

We stopped by at this pho restaurant because it was conveniently located near our hotel. We ordered the vermicelli, bahn mi and pork bun. The ordering process was simple-you place your order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready for pick up. I believe they may also bring the food to your table. Service was fast, which was appreciated. The prices seemed reasonable, especially for Seattle, where many restaurants can be quite expensive. The food was good overall and we had no complaints.

Spring rolls + Thai tea

I tried the spring rolls with pork; they put a healthy portion of pork in the rolls. I also tried the Thai tea which was well balanced in flavor.

This was a great one sitting meal. I was so hungry and ate this up fast. I ordered online and they were very nice when I came in. Service was friendly and the inside was nice place to eat the food but I took to go.

I finally got the chance to try this place. It was easy to self-order and pay. Wait was about 10 minutes. I got the port banh mi and was not disappointed. It had that crusty bread that makes a banh mi. Lots of meat and veggies. Great flavor. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Chicken Spring Rolls (minus the cilantro and sprouts).

The Bahn Mi, spring rolls and boba are all amazing here. The staff are always so friendly, fast service and such a cute little shop. It is one of my favorites!

Taro Slush with Cheese Mousse

This place is always closing and reopening under new ownership so hopefully this time business goes well! Despite "bakery" being in the name, this place doesn't have that many baked goods and it's more like a boba shop with Vietnamese food. The drinks are pretty good and the food is also tasty and reasonably priced. The food here is solid and the portion sizes are generous. Both the vermicelli bowl and banh mi were fresh and flavorful with a bunch of meats and veggies. The drinks are also good which is nice since there's not really another good boba shop in the downtown area. The Vietnamese coffee had a strong kick and was nicely sweetened. The taro slush was smooth and creamy with a subtle taro flavor and the boba was sweet and chewy. The one thing I didn't care for was the pastries. They look so nice but the cream cake I got was dry and flavorless. Sometimes they don't even have pastries so maybe they only make pastries on a certain day, and if you get them later in the week, they're stale. It seems like this place is still trying to figure out their vibe, but I think it's worth giving a chance.

Vermicelli Bowl

I got the Chicken Vermicelli bowl, and the chicken was very dry, needs to be seasoned longer as well. Noodles and veggies portion were decent, if they improve their recipe it could push the review up to a 4 but I was rather disappointed. Also got their signature fruit tea, flavor was decent. Might just stop by here for their drinks...

Recently changed ownership from r&b tea. Regarding a different person's review; the fish tank was removed when r&b tea was still in charge (same with the disheveled interior). Have yet to try the pastries but the drinks remain good. They have introduced several new drink options and are good tea options. Banh mi is customizable but I was laughed at for modifying my banh mi which wasn't a great feeling when I have two eating disorders. Banh mi comes out not crispy on occasion so it seems not consistent for now. Hoping to see service and quality of food improvements in the future. Employees are always friendly and willing to help with custom orders.

The coffee was delicious especially with the house-made nondairy milk, but what really stood out was the frosted cinnamon roll, which was almost like candy. I am not sure if this happens during the busiest moments in the shop, but they did have staff bussing the tables, and one staff member actually brought us our order (I'd been listening for my name to be called and didn't hear it). They clearly care about their image as they offer a free mug for first-time customers with an email sign-up. The drinks here are ok, but they average between $8-$10 each. I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!

This was on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm, and there were still so many people occupying nearly every seat inside. I did come back to try their matcha matcha drink only to find it gone from their current menu as of May 2026. Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

We ordered the matcha banana pudding and hojicha ginger tofu pudding lattes. Service took ~10 mins. The matcha banana pudding was yummy. The matcha was of good quality and the banana pudding top was a smooth, cream top that tasted just like banana pudding, with a fun crunch in the topping. The hojicha ginger tofu was a bit more adventurous in flavor. The ginger and tofu messed with my brain and made it feel like I was drinking a savory asian sauce/soup, but the drink was still sweet. I kept sipping, but the strange savory/sweet limbo never really balanced correctly to truly enjoy the drink. On the plus side, the silken tofu was fun to sip through the straw and added some protein. There is seating indoors, but the tables can fill up quickly. Some people were wfh, but most were chatting. There is 1 hr complimentary WiFi. Typical Seattle street parking. Overall, the latte flavors were fun to try and it was an aesthetic cafe. But, the prices for the lattes make them more of a novel, hyped up purchase.

Their drinks are also overly sweet and most of them do not have a 0% sweet option, which is usually what I order from other coffee and tea shops, and it's probably because most of the ingredients are pre-mixed.
