I found this place one day when I took a different walking route to my office one morning. I've added it to my lunch rotations now. I've been there twice since and tried the classic banh mi (deli cold cuts) and the beef pho. Both were good and decently priced for the location. The inside is nice, clean and bright. They have an ordering kiosk or you can order from the staff. I recommend preordering online if you're going around lunch as they get busy. We stopped by at this pho restaurant because it was conveniently located near our hotel. We ordered the vermicelli, bahn mi and pork bun. The ordering process was simple-you place your order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready for pick up. I believe they may also bring the food to your table. A friend suggested checking out this place, but prior to that I had never noticed or heard about it before. Inside is much larger than it looks from the outside with plenty of seating. There are bathrooms and the option to order from the person behind the counter or a kiosk. The menu is pretty extensive with a variety of banh mi, vermicelli, rolls and drinks. There's also a case featuring some dessert type options. I opted for the tofu banh mi and avocado spring rolls, both of which were labeled vegan friendly. Sure you can get tofu banh mi a lot of places but for those with dietary restrictions I was very happy to see that no modifications were required. It was also nice that the tofu was seasoned as so many places seem to give you plain slabs of tofu. I also don't recall seeing avocado spring rolls as an option many places. My dining partners enjoyed their food and drinks as well. Prices seem cheap compared to most restaurant food these days. Service was fast. Food was tasty. Despite "bakery" being in the name, this place doesn't have that many baked goods and it's more like a boba shop with Vietnamese food. The drinks are pretty good and the food is also tasty and reasonably priced. The food here is solid and the portion sizes are generous. Both the vermicelli bowl and banh mi were fresh and flavorful with a bunch of meats and veggies. The drinks are also good which is nice since there's not really another good boba shop in the downtown area. The Vietnamese coffee had a strong kick and was nicely sweetened. The taro slush was smooth and creamy with a subtle taro flavor and the boba was sweet and chewy. The one thing I didn't care for was the pastries. They look so nice but the cream cake I got was dry and flavorless. Sometimes they don't even have pastries so maybe they only make pastries on a certain day, and if you get them later in the week, they're stale. Recently changed ownership from r&b tea. Regarding a different person's review; the fish tank was removed when r&b tea was still in charge (same with the disheveled interior). Have yet to try the pastries but the drinks remain good. They have introduced several new drink options and are good tea options. Banh mi is customizable but I was laughed at for modifying my banh mi which wasn't a great feeling when I have two eating disorders. Banh mi comes out not crispy on occasion so it seems not consistent for now. Hoping to see service and quality of food improvements in the future. I went online and checked out the menu. I was happy they serve BanhMi so I decided to try it today. I ordered it online for picked up at 1130am. When i got there at 1125am, my order was ready and service was quick. I had Pork sandwich with Vietnamese coffee. The bun was warm and crispy, the pork was very tasty. I am happy to find this place now and I tried lots of different BanhMi in Seattle, I think this one is one of the few I really like. After a week of ogling the pastries on my walk back from work I finally stopped in for a treat! The person working was very friendly. I got a slice of cake and jasmine milk tea to take home snd share, and both were great. The cake was clearly fresh -- juicy fruit, light meringue, and soft cake. I wasn't expecting much from the milk tea but was pleasantly surprised by the strong jasmine flavor and good sweetness level (not too sweet!). I finally succumbed to temptation and stopped in today for a tofu Banh Mi sandwich. I received quick and friendly service and a delicious lunch. Presumably due to the number of vegans wandering about Seattle and the fact that I had ordered a veggie version, they double checked to confirm whether I wanted mayo, and again to ask about something that sounded like "pork mayo". Not sure what that is or if I heard right, but yes please! They also double checked that I wanted jalapeños on my sandwich - again a big yes. Brought my Banh Mi back to work to enjoy and found the bread perfectly toasted and the sandwich generously filled with all the good stuff including crisp match sticked carrots. The price was $12 including tip which I think is very reasonable in this economy and in the heart of downtown. The shop is very simple but includes several tables and chairs for dine-in option, and located directly next door to Nordstrom on one side and Evergreens on the other side felt entirely safe. Ended up here thinking this was R&B boba tea location... unfortunately it was sold to these folks.... Boba was old and completely without flavor and a slice of "cheesecake" (at least according to the receipt) was also void of flavors and was extremely dry. That wasn't the worst part of that sliver of a "slice"... they charged EIGHT DOLLARS for a slice of cardboard. They sell other food items and I wouldn't know how the other stuff is but if you are in the mood for boba and pastry, just avoid this place. Considering the taste of both the drinks and two different slices of "cardboard cheesecake", I personally wouldn't even bother with anything rice there.
