When we want Pho, often times we need very private, casual, therapeutic and homely comfort. We don't want to drive far as well. Hidden gem like Pho Sam is harder to find when Pho is becoming a boom, as restaurants can easily lose sight of the needs of individuals like us. This place is bright and clean and simple without over-essentializing decorations. Genuine. Refreshing as well. What makes here more special is their Bun rieu. Finding Vietnamese restaurants that serve this is difficult even in other parts of GTA - but Pho Sam has it here. Blessing. This place recharges my energy - feeling relaxed just like I am home. The pho included a little bit of everything (rare beef, beef ball, beef brisket, beef tendon & beef tripe), as well as the usual bean sprouts and basil on the side. It looked good and my friend really enjoyed it. My dish was also quite good - nice presentation and good flavours. There was a generous amount of beef sitting on top of the vermicelli, along with a tasty spring roll, and a simple salad. Adding a little hoisin and hot sauce made it perfect!
