We came here because a friend recommended it. The pho itself was okay. It was more on the plain side. The bun Bo hue was really good. We got the bone narrow pho and we found the display to be super flimsy. The ingredients fell on us when we try to take it off. The service was super bad, no one really served us anything and we had to flag them down. The place itself has a good portion of seatings. But it does get full near evening time.

Came here after a friend recommended the pho, it didn't live up to expectations. It was very bland and didn't have much of a flavour profile. The bun bo hue was really good, it had a good portion of meat, but the noodle was on the less side. We also didn't get any of the shredded cabbages that typically comes with the bun Bo hue, not sure why. The thing that annoyed us was there was zero service being offered here. We had to request the water, the utensils (after receiving our food), the condiments all on three separate occasions. Their service was also extremely slow, the longest we had to wait at a pho restaurant. It felt like they were under staffed. Not worth to return. Another thing is to consider is that the parking lot only allows for about 10 parked cars. When it was full, we didn't know where to park. The restaurant itself had good amount of seats. But tables don't open up fast enough, therefore there's a wait.

We visited on Christmas Eve and loved the beautiful lights and decorations. While the space isn't large, it feels very cozy and inviting. The food was fantastic. Service was great, too. Just a heads-up: parking can be a bit challenging during rush hour.

3.7/5 Very solid. Very kind staff and great, authentic selection. I would absolutely come here again for the fresh, flavorful papaya and shrimp salad. Though i've had better bun rieu and pho elsewhere, i thought the quality and portion size of each item was great. However since a big portion of their menu is noodle dishes, I thought the broth in the bun rieu lacked the depth of flavor I love about vietnamese cuisine. I don't doubt that they use high quality ingredients, as shown from the fresh salad and fried soft shell crab, but I overall was not impressed by my dish compared to other spots. The pho had much stronger flavor/compexity, so that is what i would recommend. I think coming here would be worth your time, since they do certain items very well.

Close to the community centre, we passed by this restaurants a few times on our way home. Like some other reviewers, we thought the restaurant location was a bit unexpected as well. I got my usual, lemongrass pork and spring roll on vermicelli. It was quite good with a generous portion. It was a bit on the saltier side so it went well with the veggies. The others all got beef pho and said that they enjoyed it! We will definitely return!

It seems the GTA is suddenly getting a huge influx of new Pho restaurants which is great to see all the new competition! Now regarding this particular establishment it is located in a bit of an awkward location surrounded by car dealerships and mechanics. So it was definitely out of the way and quite well hidden. Upon entering the entire place is clean and simple and we were seated right away as there was only one other table at 1PM on a Weds afternoon. The menu was short and to the point. We placed our order and the food came out relatively quickly piping hot. Sadly though there was a number of things that just didn't sit well with us. Aside from the location being a bit annoying to get to we noticed that the cutlery was all packed on the side of the table in a plastic container where the "eating" side was pointed UP. So forks, spoons, chopsticks all the eating sides were facing UP. So anyone else that would go to eat before you would probably touch the top of the spoon, chopsticks or what have you before it goes into your mouth. The other thing that put us off was that the server gave us our menu and told us to write our order down. Not the worse thing, but basically customer service was quite minimal if not non-existent. Continuing my other half ordered bun bo hue ($17.99) and she was given a side of bean sprouts and shredded purple cabbage. No mint, which apparently in Vietnamese culture when eating this dish is a sin (according to my other half). The bean sprouts seemed dried out and seemed iffy. The noodles were under cooked leaving it with a bit TOO much chew. Her bowl was far from full and had PLENTY of room for the veggies AND some more. I ordered the bun rieu ($18.99) with a side of soft shell crab. The soft shell crab was cooked nicely but the dish itself was quite lacking. It had all the necessary ingredients the only thing was that I would almost say that I could get something similar from a food court stall rather then a sit down restaurant. Lastly I know inflation has hit everyone hard but prices here were a touch on the higher side for the quantity and quality. All in all I would have to say that this place just slides in at OK to try if your in the area. Sadly though I doubt I will come back again as I definitely wouldn't intentionally go here for anything. There are many other places in the same price range that offer the same if not better dishes. So there really is nothing particularly bad or good about this place and with the wave of new pho restaurants in the GTA I sadly have to say that this place is "just another" pho place. Sorry Pho Hong Phong, I really wanted to be friends but maybe in a next life.

This humble restaurant is our new fave for Pho! And the best part is that it's in Thornhill tucked in a small plaza, enough parking spaces if you go for dinner but gets busy during lunch. Their food is clean (as in not overly salty) and great for those who prefer to eat less salty. I used to always order a vermicelli bowl with spring rolls at other vietnamese restaurants, but this place changed me! It made me want to try other items on their menu like the Bún bò Huế (with round noodles) and beef bone pho. Service was great, and honestly each time we're here, service has been great! They also have other south east asian dishes like Pad Thai, but Vietnamese food was still my preference, but I should give it a try during my next visit!

Good food and great service. Menu is simple and won't break the wallet. Decor is simple and comfy. Place is clean and not big. Very cozy.

A few highlights from my recent visit: - The manager at the cashier is super friendly! - Food (especially pho) comes out quickly, tasty, & satisfying. The broth is rich though looks unassuming at first. Portions are reasonable and balanced, meaning that you're not getting a few slices of beef to a large amount of noodles. - Price wise, it's reasonable (though I wouldn't say it's the cheapest pho in the area, but the quality is there!). Note that they do have a 1hr seating time limit, which I appreciate because it probably helps shorten the wait time :)

As soon as I walked into the doors, the aroma of the pho overtook my senses and my mouth was already salivating and my palate was excited. Everyone knows the rule of eating pho is eat the first spoon of broth alone. After I sipped my first spoon, I squeezed a bit of lime and dived in for more. The broth was perfectly seasoned and had a depth of flavor that was evident that the broth was made over several hours. Just a nice simply beef noodle soup that reminded me of my childhood eating pho at home. It's very rare to say pho at a restaurant is comparable to one made at home. When good food makes you reminisce of your younger years, I totally understand what "food is love." The interior design really takes you back in time with the old TV and radio equipment. I thought it was pretty cool. The service was adequate. Overall, one of the best pho I had in Toronto.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and service was quick and efficient throughout the meal. One thing I liked is that the pho only comes in one size, which is basically equivalent to a large bowl at most other spots. The broth was so good that I barely needed to add anything besides bean sprouts, basil, and a squeeze of lime. It was light, clean, and incredibly comforting. There was a generous amount of meat, especially beef tendon, and the portion overall was huge. It's rare for me to struggle to finish a bowl of pho, but this one had me tapping out near the end. Definitely understand why this spot is such a Scarborough favorite.

Not sure if I'll be back to try the pho as it doesn't look overwhelming judging by this appetizer platter. It's a shame, I really love pho and wanted to love this place. But, there are many Vietnamese restaurants around and I don't think this one will be in my rotation. Sorry folks, my recommendation is try Pho Anh Vu or Ngon Corner which are nearby.

We went on Christmas Eve around 6:15 p.m. The place was pretty quiet and we got seated right away. I ordered the Bún bò Huế. The broth was rich & spicy with good layers of flavor although on the oily side for me which probably has to do with chili oil. The bowl is full of noodles & ingredients making it fulfilling. My friend got the special beef pho large size and he said that it is very good. We also ordered the crispy spring rolls. We both loved this as it was a bit different than what we are used to. We believe that there is taro in the roll which makes it so yummy. I really liked the decor of this place!
