I have tried the regular pho and bun bo hue at this restaurant and both have been good. The portions are pretty generous for the price compared to some other pho restaurants. The broth was average but also didn't seem to taste much MSG which is good. They use fresh noodles by default though so I'm not sure if dry noodles are an option if that's your preference. The restaurant isn't that big but the seating is spacious.

My rating is 4.5 stars. I'm rounding down. TL;DR - Excellent food. The broth for the pho was incredible. If you are ordering takeout consisting of pho with rare beef, you may need to reheat the broth such that it's hot enough to cook the beef. It depends how how hot the broth is from the time you pick up your order till you get to your destination to chow down. I was in Richmond Hill. I needed to grab some takeout for dinner. I did a search on my Uber Eats app and found Pho Hung Phat H&P. I don't know what H&P stands for. I'm not going to attempt to guess. I ordered the following items: - P1 - special assorted beef rice noodle soup - A2C - shrimp with pork and fresh vegetable rolls (small - 2 rolls) My P1 was BOGO. Yay, deal! The app said that my order would be ready in fifteen minutes. I ended up grabbing a beverage at Starbucks and then driving north along Yonge Street to get to this eatery, which is on the west side of Yonge Street. I have been to this plaza a number of times. I tend to visit the Shoppers Drug Mart and Vin Bon. This restaurant is next door to the latter. I had no issues finding a parking spot. I backed into one and walked over. I immediately noticed a woman who was dining in this restaurant, sitting by the window, staring at me. I'm not sure if she thought it was weird that I was taking a photo of the storefront. I realized during my entire order pickup that not only did she have staring problems, but her son sitting across from her had the same issue when I was inside the restaurant, at the counter. Nature or nuture? The son seemed to be affected by both. Tragic. This restaurant is beautiful inside. I loved all the leafy green plants, the lucky cats on the counter, the lamps hanging from the ceiling, and more. I got the nicest woman at the counter. I showed her my Uber Eats order. She nodded and immediately fetched my takeout. I thanked her, took a few photos, and left. Sure enough, I looked at the woman staring at me as I left. I decided to do the same thing back. Maybe she thought that looking at me was more interesting than her family at the table. Anyway, I drove home. I took out everything from the bag. I had one order of pho that evening and the other the following night. The broth in the plastic container was warm to the touch. It wouldn't be hot enough to cook the thin rare beef slices. I heated the broth up. This place did an impeccable job packing everything up. There was a bag with bean sprouts, mint, and lemon wedges for both pho orders. I got two containers of broth that never leaked. Each pho order was in a container, with the rare beef individually bagged. While I waited for the pho to come to a boil, I had the shrimp with pork and fresh vegetable rolls. They were unsealed on either side. The shrimp were large and cut in half. I loved the vermicelli and romaine lettuce. The dipping sauce was excellent, especially with the carrots and peanuts mixed in. I put my pho in a bowl. This special pho had rare beef, beef slices, tripe, and a beef ball. I poured the broth over everything, and then added the bean sprouts and mint. I then squeezed the lime wedge, mixed everything, and went to town. This pho was incredible. The broth was excellent. It was flavourful and I could taste the star anise in it. The rice noodles were perfect. The rare beef and beef slices were tender and yummy. I loved how generous this eatery was with the bean sprouts. I do wish that I got more beef balls. The one that I got was yummy, but it made me want more. I guess it's because my usual pho order is the rare beef with beef balls. I rarely have a single beef ball in my pho. Having pho again the following day was great. It tasted just as yummy after I heated up the broth and poured it on everything. I suppose that you could also microwave the broth. You'd need to make sure that it was hot enough to cook the rare beef. I had an excellent experience. I'd return for more when I'm in the area and hope that the family with the staring problems isn't around. (425)

There are quite a few Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhoods that we go by turn. I like their grilled beef and pork the best. The price is also reasonable ( cash payment no tax), so comparably cheaper as well. However, the seats can be cleaner and the service can be more prompt. It is very hard to get waiter's attention when they are busy. For their food and price, we will go back as they are in the neighborhood.

Clean place. Service is what you would expect from a pho joint... decent. No refills unless requested... decent. Pho flavor was a 6.5/10. The major downfall is the soup was not hot which is a major no-no. This causes the bean sprouts to be undercooked and alters the whole pho experience.

The food taste really good and service is good too, only one time came and server was not in the great mood but overall a nice experience if you want a good pho

One of the best pho spots in the area! You can have the beef on the side and grilled (instead of in the soup), which not a lot of places do!

This place opened up roughly in August 2023 in a small plaza on the west side of Yonge Street just south of Elgin mills. The easiest way to find it is look for the Shoppers Drug Mart. Upon entering we were immediately greeted as the front counter was at the front entrance and seated promptly. They have booth style seating against the window and the interior of the restaurant includes table and pull out chair seating. Decor is minimal but you can't miss your in a Vietnamese restaurant. The menu has quite a decent variety and is easy to understand with clear labelling. Food came out promptly with very nice aroma. Service was also very quick and attentive. Prices are also right in line with other similar restaurants though you do get a bit more vatiety here and things seem pretty clean. Will definitely be coming back to try more of their dishes!

PHO HUNG PHAT . . If you love Vietnamese food then make sure you check out @phohungphat in Richmond Hill. They have a variety of pho, including Beef Rib Pho in a stone pot, rice dishes, stir fried dishes and vermicelli. . . Pho Dac Biet (L) 3.8/5 Special Dish - Vermicelli with grilled beef, chicken and pork 4.5/5 . . The vermicelli dish definitely stood out. They give you rice paper to wrap the vermicelli, meats, lettuce, cucumber together. It's very delicious and fun. The portion is also really big so it's good for sharing. The pho on the other hand was just okay. Not much depth to the broth, but the tendon was good. We will definitely try the stone pot pho next time.

Finally got to try this place after drooling over their IG account for months! Food was good. It was busy so try to get there early! We arrived around 6:15pm and managed to snag a table before the rush hit around 7pm! Everything tasted great my only suggestion was for the wrap ourselves rolls, they only gave us like 6 rice paper! The staff was very busy so we didn't even bother asking for more and ended up making Lettuce wraps instead! Definitely will come back to try other things!

We love this place! The everything with rice was so tasty, especially the beef slices! The beef bone was so tender and it's definitely worth the price! It was actually a lot for one person because they do give a lot of noodles and toppings on the side. We got the orange lemongrass peach tea for take out before and it was delicious so we got it again long with the iced viet coffee. Both yummy! The only problem was giving my rice dish to the wrong table and didn't realize until couple minutes later. I just hope no one ate it, so more like a hygiene issue....

Had high hopes for this place with the positive reviews. It's in the same plaza at St. Louis and Shoppers. Ambiance - 3.5/5 - the place is well lit. However, if you are in the booths, it's harder to catch thir attention. The space to get into the booth seats and table is quite tight Service - 3/5 - initally good and fast. Then we had to ask for cold water twice. Other customers had to flag them a few times too Food - 3/5 - got fried tofu, bbq roll, and house special pho. I have yet to find a pho place that makes fried tofu flavourful. It tasted a little sour to me. The bbq pork rolls and sauce were great. The special pho - the broth qas pretry clear (which is hard to come by), the noodles were nice and al dente, the beef brisket was dry, the raw beef was fine and the beef tendon were not tender. It had a lot of chew to it. Overall: 3/5. Not in a rush to go back.

Haven't been super impressed with a Vietnamese restaurant in so long, especially since I've been to so many. But this place is so delicious! The special pho (P1) both was super fresh, the meat was tender and not overcooked, and the noodles were fresh with the perfect softness/chewiness. The only thing is that the large size wasn't that large. More like what I would consider a medium. That said, it's not the smallest large I've seen for pho. The special vermicelli (B1) was also very tasty. It had a good portion of meats and noodles. The fried spring roll was my fave and the shrimp was a close second. Their ché (N9) was so well balanced. I loved how the beans were a little salty so the rest of the drink wasn't too sweet. Can definitely see why they have such good reviews here. Wish we lived closer to come here more often!

Came on a Sunday afternoon for a very late lunch/ very early dinner. Portion size was just right for a small pho, though smaller than some other places. The broth was pretty tasty though they forgot about the bean sprouts and basil, but I was too hungry and forgot to ask until half way through my bowl. The small fried wings with fish sauce was had a honey garlic taste and came with sticky rice with lots of fried onions on top. The grilled pork and chicken either egg and rice was a great potion and value for the price. Overall, food was good.

Recently came back w/ my parents as this has now become one of their de facto go-to's for viet food in Richmond Hill along w/ Ngon Corner (replacing Green Lemongrass). They are SOOO busy now as they have a loyal student customer base during the school months (conveniently being right next to Bayview Secondary). They run student deals as well as lunch specials. On this visit, I opted for curry beef brisket rice as my mom told me that she tried it w/ my dad and they vouched for it. The curry was quite flavourful and there were a LOT of big brisket chunks running through the curry so I was pleasantly surprised. Got an additional iced lemon tea for no extra charge which was so awesome! The staff recognize my parents now because they've been going quite regularly lately lol. It's flavourful, both fatty and lean, tender, juicy... basically perfect for the grill. There's an option to add an egg, which I skipped. The dish comes with a small salad drizzled in balsamic vinegar, plus some pickled daikon radish and carrots. A small dish of sweet and tangy fish sauce is included too, perfect for pouring over the rice. Fantastic flavors all around. I cleared the plate and would definitely order it again, though they have a lot of other dishes I want to try too. They're currently running a promo where you get a free drink with any order! Not advertised anywhere (from what I saw), they just casually mentioned it after we ordered. The iced lemon tea was refreshing, with sliced lemons on top, and served in a large cup, which I highly appreciate. Not one of those tiny takeout ones that's gone in a few sips. Service is very friendly. Lots of free parking. Just a heads up, they only accept debit or cash.

Tips: - This place takes debit and cash only…read more - The hot tea is scorching hot. A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)

The service is generally friendly, not overly enthusiastic but not unpleasant either. However, the cons are also quite obvious. The biggest problem is the inconsistent quality--some dishes are excellent, while others are rather ordinary, even making you feel like "something else tastes better." We tried their porkchop rice, their curry beef brisket with roti, and laksa. Out of all the things that we tried, the beef brisket with the roti was my favourite. It was quite a large portion and it was slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The meal was alright overall, but I don't think it was anything special and most likely will not return.
