The bun was soft so I didn't get covered in traditional bread crumbs and I'm not mad. Nice clean quiet place. I ordered the House Special Pho (13.95) Hummm...I think it was ok... considering it was missing the most important ingredients Thai basil. I asked a server she said they were out.?!? it's like eating marinara spaghetti with no tomatoes. also when your paying $14 for a bowl... 6 pieces of meat , 1 beef ball cut into quarters and some tripe is a bit cheap; also the slice beef were tough. This place isn't going to last long. Yeah first time me ever saying that. Friday night at peak dining hours and there's only one other group dining there. Another reviewer sums it up perfectly as "embarrassingly" poor service. Such a shame since the food for the most part is perfectly Americanized Vietnamese. The two servers hardly made any appearance up front at all. Thank goodness the chopsticks are sitting in a bucket otherwise we would be eating with out hands. Napkins didn't show up until the end of our meal when they brought the check. So glad we didn't order any drinks as not refills would have happened. I now know how this place can be virtually empty on a Friday night at a busy shopping location. Should be a one star but I give one stars after I see how management address the issues but with no one around, they get two stars. read more

This was our second time here. The food (Chicken Noodle Soup & Rare Steak Pho) were delicious. The service however, was abysmal. During both of our experiences we had the same male server (young man with backwards "SOX" hat). Very excited to try this place! They had plenty of seating inside but I had order to-go on a Wednesday. I called over the phone and was told it'd be ready in 10 minutes. Nice! I headed there later than expected. I went up to the counter which is tucked further back when you walk in. My order was ready and I paid there. The spring rolls was good. I love peanut sauce and they used bbq pork inside. Fresh and tasty. I was a little bummed my noodles were not crispy. I'm not sure from it sitting longer than I thought or it truly isn't meant to be as crispy as I imagined it would be. The dish was still very good. You also get plenty of food. Not the best Vietnamese food I've had. Their fish sauce was pretty dull, but luckily the egg rolls were still good without that tangy taste. Spring rolls barely had meat, which is crazy since it's 2 for almost $6. Pho was decent, I got the filet mignon pho. My boba wasn't good, the texture was weird, not soft and chewy.. instead it just fell apart in my mouth like a little rubber ball. Considering all the cons we experienced, we won't be back, which sucks since this place looks so bougie. read more

I moved to Syracuse and apparently away from any really good pho places. We finally found this one and the food is SO GOOD. The pho is great and i appreciate the flexibility in adding extra tendon or other choice pieces. My spouse got the shaking beef and it was unbelievably tender. My MIL got the chicken and rice and that was also amazing. The chicken was tender and just crisp enough with great flavor. They're pretty understaffed, so it's a bit of a wait, but the food is well worth it. The staff are clearly working very hard to keep everything running smoothly. We came for Boba and Pho. Folks around me were restless and told me they were waiting for 40 minutes for their food. Then took their food to go because it took so long. We tried Vietopia on a wim and couldn't believe how good it was. We usually make the trek into SLC whenever we have a craving for banh mi sandwiches at oh mai, they're awesome, but don't like the drive. Vietopia's banh mi sandwich are incredible! They're a little different then oh Mai's as they are served warm, but the flavors are just as mouth watering. I tried the rib eye and will probably get the pork next time. The sandwich came with sweet potato fries that were really good too. Came with a sweet version of frie sauce that was suited to the fries. My wife tried the pork rice dish and I couldn't keep my fork out of the pork. Crispy on the outside and tender in the middle with great flavor. Reminded me of pf changs mongolian beef in texture and flavor but at a much better price. They offer extra pork for $5 so I my wife said she'll order that too so I'll stop stealing hers. Our first time here so we splurged and tried the chicken low mein and it was really good too but we couldn't finish it all and took it home. All in all I'd highly recommend Vietopia a very nice add to Farmington station right by the pretzel maker shop. read more

Came between lunch and dinner about 3PM on a Friday and the place was pretty much empty. We got seated quickly, ordered egg rolls, soups and a sandwich to take home for dinner later that night. Four of us came here and we all enjoyed our food. My husband is picky about his Pho and he loved the rare steak Pho, the flavors were very good. I enjoyed the beef vermicelli, although I would have liked a thinly sliced steak over whatever beef it was (reminded me of the beef they use in gyros, only thinner). It was still good, but I'd get chicken next time. Our friends had the steak & eggs and shrimp Lo Mein, both looked amazing. The ambiance and the service was great! I want to go back and try more things. We were, however, VERY disappointed in the boba smoothies. They were very icy...full of little pieces of ice. Maybe they don't have a good blender. And there were no tapioca pearls...apparently you have to ask for them and pay extra, which is so lame. What's a boba smoothie without the tapioca? We got the p18 (beef pho with rare steak and brisket) for takeout and thought it was really good. The hostess was super nice over the phone. The broth was rich with flavor and seasonings and didn't taste like basic broth out of a carton. We did have to cook our rare meat when we got home and reheat the broth, which was kind of interesting. Over all, we were really satisfied with our meal. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because it's a little on the pricey side & wasn't that much meat that came with it and we had to cook it once we got home. This review is coming from someone who lives in California and is spoiled by authentic Vietnamese cuisine. 1st, the place is beautiful, the ambiance is nice but it was very quiet during dinner which was a red flag for me. 2nd, the service of absolutely the slowest I've ever experienced. It took about 20-25 min for our food to get to our table and the food was not good. Sweet potato fries and the wings were ok, the chicken wings were prob the best thing but was drenched in a over powering sauce. The Bun Bo Hue was the worst I've ever had - full of oil and did not have any veggies like true BBH has. The flavor was surprisingly ok. 3rd, we asked the waiter if we can have our bean sprouts cooked and he said the cook doesn't speak English, only Spanish ....when we got our veggies, they have no basil or jalapeños. I'll start off by saying I am kind of a pho and Vietnamese food snob, so I am picky when it comes to this kind of food. Customer service was great. My waitress was attentive and helpful. The food was good. However I feel like the meat was skimpy on everything I tried. I ordered spring rolls, the rolls only had a small piece of lettuce and a couple pieces of shrimp and pork that didn't even cover the roll from one end to the next. The pork banh mi sandwich had very little meat and a small amount of toppings. Next the rare steak pho, took a bit longer to come out than most pho restaurants and the meat came out fully cooked, I am used to the meat still coming out red and cooking in the broth. But again felt like there wasn't very much meat in the dish. read more

There are not a lot of Vietnamese places in Davis county, so I'm glad that this one is delicious. I'd definitely recommend getting the spicy soup or as it's called the Bun bo hue. The boba drinks are delicious as well. My wife is Vietnamese and loves it too. Great place as well if you've never tried Vietnamese food. read more

Portions are small other than the pho, quality of food is ehhh. Too bad, would've nice for it to stick around but don't think it will. Additionally, we were there for 45 minutes and there were 4-5 tables that were filthy with all the plates cups and food from previous guests that were never cleaned up, one was right next to us.
