Always want to support small businesses, especially important during pandemic times. I cook homemade pho and rarely go out to eat pho, however would like to have the option when lazy to cook...so my opinion is based on authentic pho eaten all my life. Overall, this business has good service and tasty food. Fish sauce chicken wings: fresh & crispy, full of flavor, not too salty! Skillet beef specialty dish: also full of flavor, pate savory, beef tender. Now the most important review, pho broth! Broth has depth of flavor and you can taste the bones flavors, however the amount of broth given in the bowel was too little, thus the bowel of pho was brought out with soup not hot, by the time you add sprouts & basil, the pho became room temperature. In my opinion this is the worst, when you want to eat a hot steamy bowel of pho! Another execution mistake was pre blanching the rice noodles (probably added to why the broth was not hot when brought to table), not sure why they had to preblanch noodles, there were barely any customers...the noodles stuck together in the bowel and when you tried to separate it, the long noodles broke apart, so sad! So by the time I added vegetables, lime and mixed up my bowel (which is fast from time delivered to table)...the bowel was lukewarm, noodles soggy and soaked up what little broth was there to begin with. Seriously sad as the broth was not bad, yet the preparation of the the whole bowel did not allow the pho to taste the way it should anymore. I told and showed the waiter that cleary my bowel did not have enough soup, I ordered a bowel of soup and was charged $3 for it. This is my honest opinion, hopefully management takes all this feedback. I want them to succeed and want to continue to support them. And thanks for the great service, good luck! read more

So we ordered at 8pm for a chicken banh mi and chicken kids pho .. well they were out of chicken so we got steak .. got home and they blood and meat were on top of the noodles and just disgusting mess and the pho broth was so small ( considering it was a kids pho) but no condiments ( cilantro , basil, bean sprouts etc) only one packet of Hoison sauce .. the chicken. The peanut sauce did not taste like peanut at all. Threw away the spring rolls immediately. The sauce tasted like vinegar. The chicken and shrimp was great. Perfect The pho broth was less then good.. and filled up the Togo cup about half way, for a size regular. ?? Very small amount of meat in fact it was 2-3 pieces . also it was a Togo order and told them I'd wait in the car and they just let my order sit there and didn't tell me it was done. I've been here several occasions and overall I think the food is average. The customer service is great and the workers are friendly. My favorite dish here is the Banh Mi sandwiches. My issues with this restaurant is that the food isn't consistent. One night, it can be really good and the other night it can be a complete miss. This happens way too often. The chicken wings is 99% bone and 1% chicken- I was so shocked that they served it to me like that. I ordered pickup so I noticed once I got home. Also, the salad/vegetables here taste very unfresh and like they haven't been washed. My final straw was when I noticed there was a bug in my rice! Never coming back here again! read more

Was recommended here but was very disappointed. Ordered the flank steak pho for takeout and I couldn't even finish it. The broth had little to basically no flavor and I was given just only 4 pieces of cold meat. The toppings all looked wilted and the bean sprouts looked dirty and tasted of chemical. I've ordered from here multiple times and have never been disappointed. Even the time we ordered over the phone and I said B1 but ended up with V1 I was still happy with what we got, we just ordered the bahn mi the next time. Finally tried the pho, got the one with chicken since it's the only meat I can have right now. I don't often get pho so may not be the best at reviewing it but I definitely like theirs over the others in the area that I have tried. Their fried pot stickers are my favorite in the area, steamed are good too but I prefer the fried ones. Theirs are also just better than everyone else in the Fairwood area in my opinion (and yes I've tried them at every place in Fairwood that has them). Tried Viet's Phoody last night for the first time and was very pleased overall. The portions were generous and had excellent flavor, and you could tell the ingredients were high quality. Staff were friendly and our order was ready (for takeout) in the 15-20 minute time specified when I ordered. I noticed that the restaurant was very clean and had a nice atmosphere; if we hadn't been getting takeout, I think we'd have enjoyed eating in-house. We ordered the chicken fried rice, orange chicken (came with white rice), pork vermicelli bowl, and fried potstickers. The orange chicken (heat 2 out of 5), was some of the best we've had (although we're not fans of cooked bell pepper and will remember to subtract that next time). The glaze was just right, not too sweet and not too much vinegar, very balanced. The only two "complaints" I have are with the vermicelli bowl. The dressing was too sweet for my taste and didn't have the "zing" I'm used to from other restaurants. I added some of my own rice vinegar, fish sauce and sambal paste. The other thing was the grilled pork had a little more fat than I prefer, though the flavor of the meat was excellent. I don't think these are quality issues, just my preferences. The chicken in the fried rice, by contrast was lean, tender white meat, and same with the orange chicken. We didn't take any photos, but it all looked very appealing before we dug in! We'll be back and would recommend checking them out! read more
