I can understand that there are times when people might have a bad day. not every experience is perfect. But considering the location and the amount of people that live here, there are bound to be disappointments along the way. I get it. Saying that. Fenton is paradise for anyone who chooses to live here. The leasing staff? Awesome! joe and Becca are truly remarkable considering the challenges they face daily. There's a LOT of people here to please. And there are thousands that come just to admire the community, restaurants movie theater and boutiques that are at our fingertips. It's literally a part of our home. Sorry, but that's pretty cool in itself. The 2-story workout area, the beautiful pool and social area that overlook the main street park area, and the events that help to create community with the residents do just what they strive to. Everyone here is friendly and accommodating! Very pet friendly as well. If you don't like dogs, then you might reconsider. Otherwise, it's where you belong! I would say there's no such things as a perfect community, but this community has alot of work to do. Issues Below: - First issue= onboarding was moving in, the 2 staff members that I was working with kind of left me in the dark, which I had to keep following up with the community (I should've taken this as a red flag) - There has been an increase in dog poop throughout the community (I've stepped in poop at least 3 different times in different areas) - The call box doesn't work and beeps often throughout the night - Repeatedly come across someone dog peeing in my building if that's in the elevator or/and the hallway carpet - The leasing office staff is slow at giving updates/being responsive, which isn't good - I've been dealing with a water leakage that seems to be forming into mold for over a month, I continue getting the run around/no movement still; I've also spoken to the Property Manager, Susana, about this matter and told her that I plan to go to corporate (she's even promised to give me a call last week as I've been to the office about 5 different times, and haven't received 1 call from her; today her + the male worker acted clueless which isn't good as they manage the property and the residents come first especially safe, especially coming from someone that has asthma and has dealt with growing mold in the past; I've been told by staff to put in another entry request + to continue stopping by which is very inconvenient - There are 2 doors in my building that always jam, + another door has a hard time closing when the temp. changes - Susana refused to give me her business card and didn't provide her full name on a sticky note she gave me when I asked for both # and email address of hers + of corporate (she made a comment, "They will just transfer me to her" in such a way as if you won't get far - I told the staff that I was not happy - I was told by some residents that the community rarely fixes things/this is just how it is here - Limited parking at night - The brick with the community symbol/name on it needs to get power-washed - I was told there would be a theater room available at the beginning of the year by a staff member, but still no movement - I've asked for the pool access code and still haven't recieved anything - There's been a rusty old back sitting outside of the community in front of a building with no movement that I emailed about (not a good look) - Thin walls - Marks on the walls - Carpet has been lifted up 2+ weeks and haven't been replaced - Amazon workers have a hard time getting into the packaging area; I've been told by a resident to get my Amazon packages sent to Whole Foods to pick up - Valet trash doesn't always come when they're supposed to: I've been told that they're moving on with a different company as it's been an issue here, but I've seen little change - I've seen some grill at least 3 different times from their porch which I think is a fire hazard as flames and smoke was going up (Attached are a few examples, if needed I can point out the different areas in the community) I'm sure there's more to talk about but I have not though about having to create a list. I will be contacting corporate this week through email and phone. I now have no interest with attending future events or letting staff interact with my dog moving forward.

It is a quiet complex and the neighborhood is walkable and near the greenway. Staff host parties for the residents periodically and these are fun to attend and help build the friendly community that is already present at The Aster. Regarding amenities, there is both a conventional pool and a lap pool, which is very nice. The exercise room is incredibly well-appointed with various pieces of equipment to choose from. All of the equipment is top-notch and is kept in good repair. They offer garages for rent or reserved parking spaces if you're interested. The apartment buildings also have electronic keys to provide additional security for residents. Overall, it's a fantastic complex and if you're looking for a safe, quiet, friendly place to live, I highly recommend it.

"The Height of Urban Luxury" ???…read more Southpoint Village can only be referred to as a "luxury" apartment complex in the same sense that jumping out of a 10th floor window can be called a way to exit a building. As of this writing, it is Memorial Day Weekend and the pool, which is supposed to be open year-round, is empty and nowhere near ready for use. The only community grills are locked inside the fence alongside sun-bleached, grimy furniture that evokes a long-forgotten roadside motel. In keeping with that aesthetic, at least half a dozen abandoned cars are scattered throughout the parking lot. It is inconceivable that management hasn't noticed these cars. As my photos show, some lack license plates and have flat tires. While the units are spacious in terms of total square feet, the layouts are poorly designed. Massive dining areas cut heavily into the living rooms, and in most layouts, the kitchens are cramped. The fake wood floors are impossible to get clean, and the hot water tanks are too small if you happen to have long hair or simply enjoy a good shower. As for the appliances, they are beyond terrible--it's as if someone traveled back in time and raided a warehouse in the Soviet Union. The staff are personally very nice, but it does not substitute for their incompetence. Aside from failing to prepare the pool for summer or address the abandoned vehicles, their communication is abysmal. To announce a mandatory maintenance entry, management bypassed email and the community app entirely. Instead, they opted to post a single paper printout at one specific office entrance. Because of this, I was getting out of the shower when maintenance knocked a few times and immediately began unlocking my front door. In any other complex this wouldn't be an issue, but these doors cannot be deadbolted from the inside to prevent staff entry. There are a lot of apartments within a few miles of here. If you want luxury, or the guarantee of privacy, I suggest you look elsewhere.

When we arrived, there was nobody in the office, in the middle of the afternoon on a Friday. We finally met up with the leasing agent, who informed us there were no elevators on the property. My husband, who is a wheelchair user, was unable to even see the unit she had available and she then went on to tell us that some of the amenities were down a flight of stairs. Considering this property was built in 2006, this is literally illegal. It is fine to have some units only accessible by stairs, but the common areas MUST be accessible per the ADA. This was a very short tour and I will probably be reaching out to the management company as well. This is absolutely unacceptable in 2023. Besides that, there was nothing special about the community, and we were not even shown the pool area, or other amenities. It was all under renovation so hard to tell what was construction and what was just the state of the community. Fine if you want the bare minimum with a mall in your backyard, but if you want anything above that, look elsewhere. I cannot support a company that doesn't abide by the laws for equal access.

Rest of the staff from the leasing office (Sandra Boykin and Jamilha ) will sweet talk you on becoming a resident but after being a resident they are not helpful , any issues you bring up to them they make you feel like you are bothering them and will get an attitude instead of being cordial and adddresing any issues during your lease . The complex is a very dirty , roaches e everywhere including in side the unit ( hallways , parking deck,, main entrance to the building , ) the events they have monthly are horrible, nothing but cheap stuff from the store and don't have enough for residents . Overall a horrible experience for the amount of money they charge each resident . If I could give this place a negative review below zero I would . I have had to stay proactive about my unit issues and waste my money and time fixing most of the issues . They have a lot of building code violations and health violations aswell . Be ware of this place and stay far away from it .

I have been troubled with noise issues during these years. 1) I first lived on the second floor. The window and the ceiling always produce noises of cracking. Despite that I have complained several times, no one treated me seriously until I left a one-star comment on Google Map. 2) I moved to the top floor later. Recently, they are replacing the roof. Every morning, I am woken up by the noise of someone walking on the cracking roof BEFORE 8 AM! I email the leasing office several times. They replied my first email and claimed that they would communicate with the vendor, but the noise did not stop. The other emails following up on this issue from me have been ignored. In addition to the two experiences I mentioned above, 3) The building if of poor quality. The ceiling leaks. There were several very noisy fans put in the corridor to dry the wall after it snowed this winter. 4) The do have roaches! 5) The gym is not maintained in time. It takes centuries for them to replace or repair equipments that do not work properly. 6) The apartment was not cleaned before I moved in! I found dead roaches in the room!! There are good things though. The maintenance team fixes things in the apartment quickly, and they always try to keep your place clean while doing their job. I also appreciate one of the ladies in the leasing office for signing my package when I was not able to come back home. However, overall, as a place where I pay to get enough sleep, chapel hill north is a poor choice.

We loved the older charm of the unit (hardwoods, high ceilings, huge windows), and the kitchen was nicely updated. Some of the drawbacks were the cost of utilities because the home wasn't well insulated, and the occasional maintenance issue, but these are just old property issues and not Trinity specific. We were always super impressed with their responsiveness to any maintenance issues. This is a real stand out to us in terms of positives, and made a great impression. Also, they are incredibly fair with returning the security deposit, which you don't see very often! The people working in the office are all very kind and helpful. We wholeheartedly recommend these apartments to anyone looking for an attentive landlord, as long as your okay with dealing with the charms of older properties.

Once inside the Murchison apartments, the other couple pushed me aside and practically bowled me over to be first in the door, pounding Guy with questions then informing him they "probably" wanted the place but had "one more place to see and they'd be back soon" and abruptly left. Guy looked at me with a friendly smile and said, "Can I give you a quick tour?" I loved the place instantly: the big windows, spacious living area and hardwood throughout. The kitchen was as small as a postage stamp (recent photos show they expanded and remodeled it) and said I was ready to sign. He smiled and said, "I'm so glad you do. Those other folks weren't very polite; you seem like you'd be a very nice tenant." Guy was a terrific landlord and true to Trinity's website, the apartments were a great value, especially since they were close proximity to Duke University. I rented two apartments from Trinity at the Murchison Apartments on Demerious Street and Georgetown Apartments, my favorite being Georgetown because it had a large eat-in kitchen and pantry and two spacious bedrooms upstairs. (Murchison was a little quirkier and smaller, it was still a cute place. It had a fantastic storage area under the stairs where I stashed Christmas decorations and luggage). Both apartments were townhouses and very cozy with central air conditioning, a *must for those sweltering summers in the South. Both apartments were very well maintained by Trinity. After Guy had bought the Georgetown apartments he asked if we'd like to take a look. It was literally dollars more a month with an extra bedroom and extra 1/4 bath. He even let me choose the carpeting and linoleum from (4) samples and remodeled it fully before we moved in. If I ever moved back to the Triangle area, I'd call Guy for help navigating the real estate market since he is a very savvy real estate investor and/or rent from him again. All these years later, I still have the move/out form with a personal note from Guy that reads, "Thanks for leaving the place in such super shape!" All these years later, fond memories from a fabulous landlord. If you're looking for an apartment in Durham or Raleigh, start with Trinity Apartments.

Update #1: There…read morewas a huge ant hill on the base of a tree that my dog walked into the other day. Thankfully it was close to the communal car wash, so I was able to run him over there and get the ants off him quickly. He hated every second of this, and the ants somehow ended up biting me to shreds, but I got them off him. After that, I took him back to my apartment and then walked back down to the office to share this with the staff, thinking they would share with the exterminators to avoid other issues. But, everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I said I wanted to share the location of this ant hill and why. One of their newest staff members followed me outside (J thank you for coming with me and I'm sorry you got elected for this by default, but I very seriously appreciate you) and made note of the issue. Update #2: Someone mentioned the bad landscaping in another review and prior to moving in I kind of rolled my eyes about it... right? Bc with no context it's an odd thing to be upset about. But here is the thing.... It's a very dog friendly complex... SO.... Dead grass and random sticking up metal parts and holes in the ground = not the best place to walk your dog. Add a bunch of dogs, aerated turf, lots of rain, Straight up dirt with the metal bits and mess. I don't like it. At all. Update #3: Someone before me posted about the fire alarm and said it was painful to hear. I've now experienced it and can agree. This fire alarm is so loud that I couldn't get my cats out of my bedroom, my dog cried the entire walk downstairs and my ears still hurt badly from being either in my apartment, on my balcony or being outside. The video I posted is only of outside. But hopefully you get the gist. Thank God there was no actual fire today Bc I would not have been able to save all my animals. Update #4: the stomping above me never ends. It wakes us up at night almost daily and I miss sleep. I captured a video of it one afternoon for reference. 100% can't wait to move out.

The location is not so great. You are in a very isolated area with very few walking options. Although there are some good hikes. The park also makes it better. The use of space in these apartments are a bit odd. We were in a smaller apartment before in the same complex and when we moved to a larger one, we had to get rid of my dining table as I couldn't fit it with the weird kitchen isle. Also, we were in a studio apartment previously and every single time it rained hard the water started seeping in from the floor tiles and caused flooding. We didn't noticed this for 3-4 months as there was drought. When we noticed it, the leasing office was very apathetic. They didn't offer us any reasonable accommodation for the fix. We had to upgrade it to a larger apartment with higher rent. I would at least expect them to be more lenient to get better pricing as this move was not voluntary. They did waive the transfer fee, but that's the least I would expect from a situation like this.

Usually other places don't care to help and just have you pay the hundreds in fees and wish you luck. They helped me figure out how to get the app to work and were quick to get me back results. The follow up afterwards was great. The amenities are wonderful, the staff is helpful, the apartments are nice, the neighbor seems safe, and it's in a nice location.
