Came to pickup contacts on a Saturday Feb 14. Called this week to make sure they were opened on Saturday and it was confirmed. I showed up today and nobody is here and the lights are off. Unexpectedly stumbled upon View Optical on Atlantic Ave in early July. What an amazing space, and, selection of unique high-end frames. We were greeted by Dina, who's sales and customer service skills are unmatched. I purchased two pairs of Jacques Marie Mage frames, along with lenses, totaling $3200. Dina provided a timeline which was reasonable based on the unique lens shapes and frames. Four weeks pass, and I hear nothing, so I called. No, answer so I left a voicemail, no call back. Then, a second call, same experience. I then walked to their store for an update, to find a note on their door saying they were closed due to a staffing issue. So I called their other location and was told they could not assist with transactions at the Atlantic Ave location. Two days later I was able speak with someone on the phone. I was told one pair was completed, and ready for pickup. However, he was quite flustered, and short, explaining he was alone in the store and would be leaving soon. I rushed in, was handed my glasses and he scurried away. I asked for info on the second pair and received a vague answer, once again being told he was alone, and very busy. Two weeks later I called and was told the second pair had just been sent to the lab and he did not know the timeline. I refreshed his memory on the transaction and he said he would research it and call me back. An hour later he called saying they were done and in the store, I told him I'd be in later in the day to pick them up. I walked to the store around 3:00 only to find another note on the door saying he was closed due to no staffing. Frustrated I walked down the avenue and grabbed a bite, walking back, and past I noticed now it was open so went in. He was alone again, clearly agitated and retrieved my second pair. This time I was able to try them on, get them fitted, etc, but he was being a pompous ass the entire time. It's beyond my comprehension that a business that appears to be of this caliber would operate at this level, completely dropping the ball, zero communication, zero service, zero customer service, zero staff, and blatantly rude. I was so thrilled to find this business, and the glasses I purchased, but due to the post-sales experience I would have a hard time patronizing them in the future. read more

Needed to schedule my annual eye exam and found this place through my insurance provider. I was able to schedule a next day appointment and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of state of the science technology. If you hate getting the air puff test (pressure test) this place has the technology to check pressures without blasting a puff of air into your eye sockets...FINALLY!!! I've been hoping for this advancement in diagnostic testing for years (it's been around longer than I thought but my previous eye doctor didn't have it). The staff are great, the doctor is young but knowledgeable and courteous. They don't call this a luxury boutique for nothing. They have high end frames, some brands I've never seen before. Found a pair that fit perfect and were extremely light weight. If you're used to the prices of other commercial eye glass stores...this might not be the place for you but they do have a variety of frames at different price points so it's still worth checking out. read more

I found them on line as I thought that I needed a special lens to correct a problem. Getting an appointment was easy. Went there the next day for an eye exam and was very impressed by the way I was treated. Everyone was very professional and pleasant. Their equipment is the latest and very impressive. Turned out I did not need the special lens but did need corrective lenses. Gave them my most recent frame and they put in the new lenses. So pleased with the quality & service that I also ordered prescription sun glasses. This is a quality store with quality service and I find their prices very competitive.
