Previously had a good experience but that changed when they decided to close for a week without any prior notice to patients waiting for glasses or needing help. They have a pair of my glasses (frames that I provided) and they're not returning calls or opening the doors. Additionally, a pair I picked up last week were made wrong and I haven't been able to get the issue addressed. This issue cost me a lot of money because I had to go to a new provider and get my glasses made there until this operation reopens their doors. It would be one thing if patients were notified in advance and still chose to do business with them but that's not the case. I am a patient here and just recently had my annual appointment and was given trial contacts and told to call to order. Well I called on Saturday and today but apparently they are closed this week with absolutely ZERO warning to patients or communication. I am out of contacts and need them for a vacation and Bocaview staff is nowhere to be found with no prior warning. Will start looking for an alternative office moving forward. I find it hilarious that I called 3 times and left a message with the call center for a callback to atleast provide me with my prescription so I can order my contacts elsewhere and still no reply. The eye exams are extremely expensiv The eye exams are extremely expensive, I was charged $208 (ouch Boca ). The staff are pretty helpful though, the receptionist was ready to check me in for my appointment as soon as I walked in through the door. Booking appointments is really easy online and mine got approved through a confirmation email pretty quickly. Overall, the service is very fast and the doctor that saw me was very helpful and attentive. The price is keeping me from giving more stars, as this seems really steep to me for just an eye exam. read more

The doctor, the doctor's assistant, and the receptionist were nice and professional. The male in the sales department was unprofessional and, but for needing glasses, I would have walked out because of his actions. I repeatedly told him for more than 5 minutes that I didn't want to buy something he thought I should get and I was not going to buy it. He refused to take no for an answer. He even tried to berate me by telling me that I was "afraid" of buying what he suggested. On more than one occasion I bluntly told him I wasn't afraid and simply wasn't interested in what he was trying to sell me and his marketing presentation was turning me off to buying anything. He was unrelentless and just didn't take the hint. I couldn't believe that he was literally telling me, the customer, in a condescending tone that I must have been afraid of buying something because if I wasn't afraid I would surely buy what he was suggesting His female colleague then came over and told me that he was right, I was wrong, and I should buy what he was trying to sell me. Not even a car dealership is that aggressive and unprofessional. I realize that it is an eyeglass store in a strip shopping center so I can't expect the sales people to be as professional and classy as someone who sells higher end items not in a strip shopping center but even people who sell items in a strip shopping center should know that (1) speaking to customers in condescending tones is wrong and (2) when a customer says no the employee should accept that no means no and doesn't mean try, try again like the Little Engine that Could. read more

This year for my annual eye check up i decided to switch things up and go to BocaView optical. I made an appt with ease over phone for an exam and told them I had plans to purchase glasses afterward. I checked in seemlessly and was given the standard eye tests and screening by optical assistant Alison. She was really helpful and forwarned her how I can get jumpy especially with the dreaded air puff test. She was so patient and very helpful. Afterward I saw Dr. Beck who asked me a lot of questions about my vision, current issues with my RX/contacts etc. He diagnosed my vision and gave me a few different types of contacts to try out that he thought I may like more than my current brand. Afterward I was back in the helpful hands of Alison and Mondee who gave me their opinions on different glasses for me. They were both very patient as I kept trying on different glasses asking for their input. I settled on a great pair of Gucci frames that I love and get tons of compliments on. A lens on my glasses popped out while I was driving to Boca from my home in Wellington for a doctor appointment. I was close to Town Center Mall so I drove there, hoping to find an optical store who could put in the missing screw and reassemble the glasses. Just by chance, I happened upon Bocaview. Miguel Cardenas welcomed me, repaired the glasses, even changed out the nose pads for more comfort, and checked the alignment, and when i asked how much, the answer was no charge. I promised him a good review, and since all I can give is 5 stars, I can say the service was worth 6 or more! Thank you, Miguel and Bocaview. For over 3 years, I have used BocaView Optical for my routine annual eye check up; however last year was my last. Do not misinterpret my words, Dr. Beck and Dr. Obradovic truly do care about the condition of your eyes and the well being of the client, yet I cannot say the same about the rest of the sales team. Like I said before, I went to get my routine annual exam and my prescription did not change so I decided to just purchase an extra set of glasses in case something happens to my current ones. As I reviewed my options, I stumble across a pair of gray Oakley that caught my attention. I decided to purchase them and like always, it takes roughly two weeks to have them ready. After three days, I received a call stating my glasses were ready. I stopped by and picked them up. When I got home, I inspected the glasses and noticed they were the same ones they had in display, with the scratches and chips of paint taken off. I called immediately and they stated it was some kind of mistake; the new ones should be arriving soon and I could keep them for the time being, so I did. Furthermore, after a week, I receive a call stating, "Oakley does not make any more of that model", so I could keep them or get store credit. Now I cannot speak for everybody, but I would not keep a $120+ pair of glasses that have scratches and chips. I went to return them and the manager stated it was a really good deal and such, since they do not want to lose a sale. Luckily, I was able to get my money back and about three weeks later, I told my gf to stop by and she found the same glasses in display. So with that being said, if Oakley, "does not make any more of that model", why even have them in display? Why try to trick me into purchasing a used pair? What would have happen if I didn't noticed? read more

I chose this place based on the location. They were on my approved list of optometrist. Since moving to Florida , I needed to replace my optometrist of 15 years in California :(. Went in to do my annual eye exam for contacts. Filled out paper work and didnt wait too long (I had an appointment). The ladies up front were welcoming and easy to talk to. Informative and friendly. I dont really care for extra interaction and dont need all the attention others would demand. Lol. So , I was pretty happy with the quick process. I walked in without an appointment and was greeted very warmly by the staff. My 95 year old mother sat on her glasses, but it is difficult to bring her in for an adjustment. They repaired the damage, free of charge. We purchased the frames from this location, but there have been several name changes since then. I will return based on this experience. 2019 update Went in for a wellness check up. Friendly, welcoming staff. Taken right at appointment time, no waiting. Clean with modern equipment. Alison and Dr. Ryan Beck were very professional and took time to explain each part of the exam with me. It was great to see the vasculature of your eye on the computer screen. We enjoyed using this eye center until their staff refused to bill our insurance properly. They took advantage of us as we have two different insurances that cover eye exams. While we expressed that we wanted to use the insurance that had no copay or deductible on routine eye exams and retractions, the staff made sure that we paid top dollar and they would only use the insurance that allowed them the contracted rate plus a large co-pay from us. After numerous promises that we would be refunded and the manager would call us, "Ryan" has not contacted us yet, but I bet his staff hasn't asked him to call us in an attempt to make us go away. I am surprised that a place with such wonderful optometrist would handle their patients and billing in such a shiesty manner. We are quite disappointed. read more

She immediately checked with Nancy, a tech who is responsible for booking appointments, to see if they could take me as a walk in. Nancy said, yes - if I cud stay & do the exam right now. Well, that was perfect for us! I quickly filled out some paperwork & was brought in by Nancy to do a couple of measurements/pre-tests & then, Dr. Beck, called me straightaway into the exam room; where upon, he did the exam - swiftly, yet professionally. At which point, Ryan, the manager/optician assisted me in helping me pick out a REALLY cool pair of Tory Burch frames! AND, he gave me an AWESOME deal on the ENTIRE package-- not to mention, he's including the anti glare & thin lenses -- so I'll be more apt to wear them out & abt! Finally - Ryan said that he had them in stock & that it wud only take him 10-15 min to make them!!! I NEVER make it a point to write Yelp reviews unless the service is extraordinary.... I needed a pair of glasses fast so based on the good reviews i went into Bocaview. I was greeted with a smile and welcomed in. The walls were filled with expensive designer frames. When i said i would rather spend money on the lenses and i wasnt that interested in designer labels i was told by the salesman that they had some frames set aside for their "less than fortunate customers." It lost a star because of this. I found a good frame and my glasses were ready the next day. Recently the frames broke and i mailed them down because i was out of town. After going 50 years without glasses Dr Beck and team really made it easy. Answered all my questions and explained everything so even I could understand it. Being very active and an avid cyclist I wanted to try contacts. They were very patient in teaching me how to put them in, which took a while. Still sorting out the right strength lens for one of my eyes and Dr Beck has exceeded my expectations from a doctor. Today I went back for follow up, again he took the time to hear my concerns and explain it was expected in my situation and was quick to offer different strength lenses for that eye. Really really super nice guy and very professional. When it came to picking out frames for glasses as well I had no idea what would look good. What I thought I liked didn't look good on me at all. Mondee picked out a pair that I wouldn't have but when I put them on they looked great! And having a shaved head the frames are really important. Bought two pairs of glasses. When going in to pick up the Costa sunglasses did not look right. Upper left hand corner was discolored and there were slight chips in the bottom of the frame. I asked for them to swap the frame out as this one was defective. The sales woman tried to convince me that the was the style and how they were supposed to look. I went to grab the floor sample to compare and it was no longer there. She called the two other sales women whom proceeded to try to convince me of the same for 10 minutes. They then started to push me to restyle to a different brand if I didn't like them. I reiterated I wanted this style. This is when the truth came out. They no longer have a contract with Costa and cannot get any new frames. The pair I was given was obviously the floor sample frames, hence discoloration in top left from finger oils of thousands of people trying them on and chips from being dropped. I took the lenses from the glasses and asked for a refund and walked out. Will never buy glasses there again. read more

I regret the day I walked into this place! I don't even know where to begin. They treat you like a walking atm here. Make false promises and are not concerned about customer satisfaction. I had a pair of prescription glasses made here and you would think they would get it right the second time but it took about 4 times to get half ass glasses made. They over promised and under delivered, I would have rather them tell me they couldn't shape the glasses the way I wanted to go to a more qualified establishment. Christine kept telling me they would make the glasses to the size I needed and assured me they would be ready within 2 days. 8 days later they still weren't ready, she was out of town and no one else in the WHOLE office could seem to help. The Tech in the back crafting the glasses was so rude and acted like I was bothering him. Sorry that I don't want to look like a dweeb in my glasses, didn't realize it was an imposition. They couldn't seem to figure out how to help me and proceeded to tell me to leave the office, claiming I didn't pay for the glasses, funny not what my Amex bill reflected. I will never come here again I walked in 2 weeks ago and asked if the take my insurance and they said yes so I made an appointment a week ago and I was told if there was something wrong with my insurance I would get a call but yet I came in on time for my appointment not thinking anything of it when I got here they told me that they found out 10 mins ago that they didn't take my insurance so me being pregnant and with no car I had to take a bus all the way here stressed out my daughter and everything just to get here for them to tell me that they don't take my insurance they obviously didn't do there jobs cause what was done 10 mins before I walked in should have been done a week ago these people don't no what they are doing and I'm very unhappy that I had to waste my money and my time and stress out my daughter for no reason they all need to learn how to do there jobs read more
