Let me start by saying that I love the sales associates here - especially Patricia. She was incredibly kind, patient and helpful in helping me find a new pair of glasses. I also had a good experience with Giselle, the doctor, for my exam. My qualms are solely with the front desk staff. Specifically a heavier set brunette woman who sits at the computer closest to the wall. She can't even be bothered to look up from her computer screen to greet or speak with incoming customers - even when they direct questions to her. She is exceptionally rude and quite frankly, if I didn't have such a great experience with Patricia and Giselle, I'd never come back. This is a luxury eyewear store so I expected to be treated as such. Especially since I dropped over $840 on a pair of glasses here, after insurance. I work in the customer service industry and have for the last 13 years and as a manager, I'd want to address this behavior immediately so that it doesn't deter business. It takes very little to look up from a computer to greet and make eye contact with paying customers who are needing support. Knowing that Visual Eyes has another location in Delray, I may consider going there to see if the front desk staff has basic customer service skills before I find a new optometrist. read more

Beautiful over-the-top eye glass store in Mizner Park. The colorful eye glass displays pop against the bright white lighting, which drew me in from the walkway. Excited to see the new Meta interactive eye glasses by Oakley that basically mimmick the original Ray-Ban version. Sadly, no Oakley or Tom Ford brands sold here, although several other notable brands for browsing purposes only. The exclusive Cartier glasses were center stage with a dramatic red display case facing the outer window. The Chrome Hearts brand was not known to me but offered a few unique specialty frames but most were common design similar to the Silhouette brand. Elegant eyeglass store in Mizner Park with colorful glasses from several international companies popping off bright white walls. Took a look at the Tom Ford display but they did not have the model I needed. The girl at the front counter hovered over me but maybe just showing extreme customer assistance. She said that they have an optometrist on staff. The classic Cartier display was the store's customer pull in from the Mizner Park sidewalk and it worked. Visual Eyes recently reopened after engaging in a total renovation and expansion of its flagship store in Mizner Park, where they have been since 1987. The new look is stunning. They have used 3 basic colors - white, white, and white. And the look is clean modern and allows all the frames on display to pop! See pics. And now to a point which a few reviewers on Yelp and Google mentioned. And it has to do with attitude of the staff. From my own observation it appears that some sales representatives (they may have a fancy name but let's be honest, their primary role is to close sales of frames and lens) may be a bit ATTITUDINAL. So it's critical that you connect with a person that is a good fit for you. I was fortunate to connect with DAVID COSTA, and after several visits to the store and discussions on the phone, I am appreciative that we connected. David is a consummate professional. He knows the technical aspects of fitting someone for lens, and exudes confidence when he "marks" lens for the proper placement on your eyes/ face. Most importantly, his attitude was a great fit for me. He appreciated my unique sense of humor. Followed my endless chatter. And he was calm, patient and willing to spend as much time as needed to show me and my husband dozens of frames, respectfully. He is well spoken, clearly well educated, and a sharp dresser, without overdoing it. His vibe allowed us to select new frames and lens for each of us, replacement new lens in a pair of sunglasses, and new lens in my existing frame. A healthy sale, at least by my budget. The depth and quality of the frames is impressive. Many foreign designed and manufactured. A treat to look through them. Very impressed with Dr. Radice. Her exam and prescription were top notch and she managed to correct my vision to 20/20 with a multi-focal lens so I can see well for both close-up and distance. I purchased a pair of sunglasses at Visual Eyes to take on vacation. Throughout the entire trip the sunglasses stretched and slide. Really awful pair of glasses. I also had new lens put into a pair of frames. Upon my return I went to pick up glasses and ask for an exchange or refund the the glasses. The manager refused. Very disappointing. The new lens were ridiculously expensive. All in all, a pretty terrible experience. read more

Every time I come here I'm shocked at the staff. The doctors are great but the front desk staff and the glasses staff are so rude and fake. BE CAREFUL WITH DAVID!!!! RUDE, TELLING ME I HAVE RECEIVED 3 PAIRS FOR FREE ( I paid 1000 dollars). He is referring to my warranty. UNPROFESSIONAL, TOLD ME TO NEVER COME BACK, TRY TO CHARGE ME WHEN IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. DIDNT CARE ABOUT GOOGLE REVIEW. HE SAID " I don't care " I bought a pair of Cartier glasses from him. All went ok until my glasses broke and I went to replace them. At that moment he realized my lenses were scratched. I said great then I get replacement glasses and new lenses since I have insurance that covers it. He proceeded to say I had to pay a portion "LIE". Thank God I had this done before for free in another location. I went ahead and got my 1k pair of glasses replaced. After wearing them for a week the sides were getting caught in my hair. THIS IS THE TIME IT ALL WENT DOWN HILL. I have had issues with David since!!!!!! FINALLY GOT THEN SWITCH. My FINAL pair were loose at the leg since I drove off the parking lot but due to being so far I had not have a chance to come until the leg fell off. I came to see him and he said oh you are missing a part I can't do anything about it. You have received 3 pairs for free???? No one pair at 1000 second pair were exchange and third pair is now a waste. He has no authority since he is not a manager so if you come to him knowing you are far, he will tell you to come back to see a manager. HORRIBLE!!!! I am having so much trouble with this store trying to have them honor their mistake. The contact lenses that they sold me were different than the trial pair. These lenses have a different fit and tint and don't stay in my eye but yet they refuse to take them back or even give me store credit toward a new pair that works better. Their excuse is that the trial pair was discontinued and these are their replacement. The manager James doesn't return calls and ignores customer complains. The receptionist Vanessa who is very confrontational speaks over you and hangs up the phone when she runs out of excuses. On top of everything they say that the owner Dr. Aaron Evans has no say in how the store is run and doesn't return calls. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional establishment. I am still in discussions with them and will add to this review if anything changes. read more

I was referred to this place by Boca View Optical after they stopped selling/working on Lindbergh glasses. I was a walk-in and was greeted by a terrific technician named Gina Edwards, who could not have been nicer or more efficient. She replaced both sleeves on the earpieces and the nosepieces promptly- and I was out of there before I knew it. I was impressed since the frames can be quirky. I did get to browse a little while Gina fixed my frames. The selection, while not huge, was stylish and well crafted. Pretty much only the good stuff! This place does sell Lindburg frames, which is the only good thing I have to say about them. Other than that, their prices are absolutely insane. A few days ago I was quoted $288 to replace the lenses in my reading glasses. Instead I went to a competitor in Deerfield Beach and bought TWO perfectly fine readers, frames AND lenses, INCLUDING an eye exam, for $69. Yes, that's about $34 each including the exam. Here's the deal folks, I might accept paying their rent in Meisner Center, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna buy them a house too! read more

I had cataract surgery and was looking for a place that took Medicare, as they'll pay 100% of costs after cataract procedure. I found Visual Eyes on the Internet. I had a lengthy conversation with the woman who answered the phone and she confirmed, Medicare would cover the lost of lenses at Visual Eyes. All of Visual Eyes internet links state they take Medicare. Pre-examination, I was given the usual eye machine exams and given the Covid era were in, was stunned the assistant did not wipe down each machine prior to use. A real health hazard. Post-examination, I was then told they don't have a Medicare account after all and the lenses will cost $721 as prescribed. They himmed and hawed, getting down to $300 for an inferior lenses, well below my normal lenses. I was misinformed to get me to come into the store, the store doesn't practice safe Covid practices and has misleading business practices. read more

I am actually happy and excited about wearing eyeglasses for once ! I just went in this year and also got a great optician however- I was hoping my last optician Shaun would just be there -however, I didn't make an appt dumbly. I asked immediately for Shaun after the manufacturer of the glasses was not able to get my order out in over a month. He took care of me immediately he made sure I received eyeglasses while I wait for manufacturer to get it right . Just shows a great person is definitely worth the extra time and effort to even drive 30 mins back for on another day . Shaun gives the best possible experience and the least anxiety in situations that aren't even in the control of store& office itself . the only Lindberg dealer around and they have all of the frames right there to try on. They were extremely helpful and detail oriented. They were able to do things that no other glasses maker has ever offered such as: customize the shape of my lenses, do a two-step progressive which has less of the middle vision, insert magnets for add-on sunglasses and computer lenses. It's time to see clearly now. I called as a new patient and was given a same-day appointment. Upon arrival, they took my insurance info and ID, then had me fill out a few short forms. Within minutes, I was taken to the back for an exam. The assistant, Miranda, was very pleasant and explained every process step-by-step; she made my first experience just spectacular. The technology the office uses is VERY up-to-date and state-of-the-art. As a techie person myself, I was seriously impressed with the equipment and how different it was compared to my previous optometrist. Dr. Giselle Radice was my optometric physician and she was fantastic. Her kind demeanor and positive attitude kept me happy the entire visit; she answered all of my questions and told me things about my eyes that I never knew before! The entire staff is just as kind as the next. I cannot recall the name of the woman who assisted me with the insertion and removal of my contacts, but she was SO patient and sweet; very knowledgeable about contacts and the care for them. In the end, Visual Eyes is very much recommended and I would gladly tell my family and friends to check them out for their next eye care visit. read more

I just want to say I have great love and appreciation for this place. I battled with chronic stye to a chalazion condition for three months. I went to see Dr. Fisher after two months of battling with this condition and she was very kind, very sweet, very professional. Dr. Fisher gave me eye scrubs, ointments, & performed a laser treatment on my eye lid to zap my styes and her methods worked! A few weeks after seeing Dr. fisher my eye lids are back to normal. Also I would like to include Shaun who also works at this location. He gave me helpful tips, and also provided me with eye scrubs & other methods to help my eyes. Everyone at this place is kind and genuine & wants to help you. All in all, I definitely recommend seeing Dr. Fisher when it comes to regular eye exams or medical problems. She's the best! read more

I had been going to Visual Eyes for 22 years, but my last experience I felt the office policy put my health at risk. It's a health care business that refuses to wear masks unless a customer asks the staff to wear them. Staff does not practice social distancing, and I had a choice either to sit next to other patients not wearing masks, or stand for 20 minutes waiting for my appointment. Hard to believe a health care provider operates like this in a pandemic, and I regret that I or the other 4 members of my family will not be returning. I got my RX and got out of there as quickly as I could, and I would recommend going to Warby Parker at the Boca Raton Mall, prices are 80% less for the same quality of lens/frames with more style. I asked to speak to the owner Dr Aaron Evans about my concern but was refused the opportunity, that even though he is the owner, he is not in charge of Covid protocols for his staff. What? They eject CDC guidelines and instead follow guidelines instituted by Ron DeSantis and team, that told me everything I need to know about their concern for patient safety, it's money that matters to this business, and it hurts to realize that after being a loyal client for 22 years. If you are at risk to Covid, stay away.vIf you value a business that protects it's patients over enticing customers to spread germs freely, then this is your place. read more

Going for my annual eye exam at Visual Eyes is my favorite time of year. The ladies at the front desk have great phone skills, i've never had an issue with setting up appts, they have good follow up/follow through and they are friendly on arrival. The optometrists: Dr Haugen and Dr Radice are both knowledgeable, informative and thorough. The equipment the use is state of the art and the measures they've taken to insure health and safety in a "Covid-19" world made me feel completely safe. The rest of the team in the optometrics dept. is professional, well-trained and always put our minds at ease. When you step into the retail store, the specialist there REALLY know and understand their brands. They have the ability to recall products and help guide you to designs you may otherwise not have known. This is helpful because their inventory is great. We have had the pleasure of working with Shaun over the years. Shaun is smart, creative and incredibly resourceful. He is open and honest, with lots of personal attention to the details. Last time we were there we also got to work with Emmy. we hadn't met her in any of our previous trips to the Boca store, but she is fantastic.
