In fact, not only…read morewas I able to make appointments for my husband and myself, as new patients, they were able to get us in within a couple of weeks. Kudos to the front desk for being organized and on top of things. Located in an office complex on Linton Blvd and Military trail in Delray Beach, there is plenty of parking right in front of the office. The staff is wonderful. The woman at the front desk is friendly. The office is professional and spotless. On our two seperate appointments, the office was running on time. Dr. Jaffe was very knowledgeable and personable. After having shingles close to my eye a few years ago, I usually see the optometrist yearly but thought now it's time to see the ophthalmologist too. I am a firm believer of being pro-active and not re-active when it comes to doctors. Dr Jaffe was very thorough, and I was relieved that he was able to see that my eyes were healthy. I look forward to coming back again next year.

Extremely unprofessional and VERY irresponsible. Without any warning, they dilated my pupils and…read morenever informed me that I might not be able to drive safely afterward. I had another appointment to attend and they told me it would be okay if I drove myself that way, but driving afterward was extremely difficult due to severe glare and light sensitivity. It was so bad that I nearly crashed my vehicle. They provided NO protective eyewear and no warning to arrange for someone to drive me prior the appoinment. What makes this even worse is that I returned and specifically told them about this dangerous experience and suggested they warn patients in advance. Yet on my today's visit, nothing had changed. They didn't warm me again so I refused to let them perform the procedure and walked out of the appointment. When I raised the issue with Crystal, the "manager", she was rude, dismissive, and actually she blamed me for not knowing my pupils would be dilated. Patients should not have to guess what procedures will be performed. As I was leaving, the receptionist politely asked me what had happened. While I was explaining my concerns, Crystal came up behind me and aggressively tried told me to get out of the office I bet because other patients could hear the conversation. Her behavior was shocking, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. After being treated this way and seeing that my safety concerns were ignored I will definetely will scalate this concern. Many elderly patients visit this office, and this lack of communication could easily lead to a serious accident or injury, even DEATH Instead of addressing a legitimate patient safety concern, management seemed more interested in silencing complaints than protecting patients. Shame on them.

While taking my history, he completely dismissed the advice of three other providers (urgent care, Wills Eye Hospital Er and Delray Medical Center ErR) without explanation. Moreover, he said that my having been treated with Paxlovid was useless, and that I would undoubtedly suffer COVID rebound. As an ophthalmologist, he is not qualified to provide such an opinion. I cannot imagine how frightened an elderly person would be of his comments. Fortunately, I have the intelligence and the means to handle such improper treatment. I had 3 different prescribed eye drops from treatments received over the past month. Each provider told me to stop using what was previously prescribed. Siegal told me how many drops of EACH type of Rx eye drop - in other words, advising me to use ALL of them, which was fundamentally inconsistent with prior medical advice) that I already had in my possession, without having a valid list of their names (I recited them from memory and he attempted to match them to those set forth in my EHR). He then gave me only oral instructions on how to use each type of eye drop (I.e., number of drops per day) Apparently, he expected me to remember the medication names (very complex medication names) and use the drops, accordingly. I then asked for written instructions, given the complexity of the information. He then wrote the attached sticky note to serve as instructions. No other documentation was furnished. Needless to say, I will not be seeing Dr Siegal again. As a healthcare attorney, I am a sophisticated user of health care services, and I would not let this doctor treat my dog.

Our experience at South Florida Vision in Delray Beach was unfortunately very disappointing. I came…read morein with my two daughters, and despite arriving on time for our appointment, we waited nearly 2 hours before being seen. The office feels extremely high-volume, and instead of receiving personalized attention, patients seem to be processed as quickly as possible. Once we were finally seen, the appointment itself felt rushed because the doctor appeared to be running far behind schedule. Communication between the doctor, optical staff, and reception also seemed very disorganized, which created confusion throughout the visit. I was especially frustrated by the lack of clear communication from the front desk regarding insurance coverage and protection plans for glasses. On two separate occasions, staff failed to mention available protection options for the frames. Later, when the frames broke, I was forced to pay out of pocket because no protection plan had been added or properly explained to us at the time of purchase. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the staff made me feel as though it was somehow my mistake for not having protection coverage, even though I was never offered or informed about it in the first place. Instead of taking accountability for the lack of communication, the responsibility was shifted onto me as the customer. Customer service, organization, and communication need significant improvement. Families coming in for care should not feel rushed, overlooked, blamed for unclear policies, or left confused about important insurance and eyewear coverage details.
