Even when it is difficult or taxing, the instructors are bright and cheerful, so it never feels like the flow has been replaced with running a drill. I saw some beginners in my class that were doing fine, but knowing my tolerance at the beginning of my practice I may have tapped out and opted for something lower intensity. But, I had purchased a 5 pack of classes and the last class expires tomorrow, so I had to use it. The schedule at this location had the class and time that I wanted, so since it's Easter Sunday, I decided to trek out here and get my Yoga on. The studio's in a strip mall just like their Troy location, at the corner of 12 mile and Orchard Lake Road. The lobby area's well taken care of full of product for sale. Yoga mats, towels, and a few sweatshirts are there for purchase. The lobby usually opens 30 minutes prior to class starting so everyone can get checked in and set up in class with their mats. If you don't have a mat, they will rent you one for a few dollars. They also have towels as well, but I think they charge for those too. I've forgotten my mat at home before and had to rent one, just make sure you return it to the counter. The bathrooms here are fabulous, and there's tons of space and cubbies for putting your items away while you're doing yoga. The showers are great just be prepared to dress in front of other people. They also have cubbies up front, which are the ones I use when placing my shoes and keys away before class. Remember kids, no cell phones are allowed in the yoga studio during class. Also, no shoes past the lobby area! As for pricing, they are not cheap but not the most expensive I've seen either. They have a variety of different packages available for purchase. You can purchase classes in a bundle (10 classes, 5 classes, etc.) or you can get a monthly membership. They also usually have new student discounts so check online and with the staff. They also have a drop in fee if you just want to do one class to check it out or get a yoga class in for fun. *most* of the instructors here are good. Over the years I've had a few that were NOT good, unfriendly or just unhelpful. But, most are good at leading class and get to know you by name. Make sure to bring water, a mat, a towel and get ready to do some Yoga!

I have been taking classes in Bodhi Yoga since 1 n half years. I really enjoy this environment. Everyone is so wonderful and supportive. I'm getting fit and just gaining so much more confidence. Staff and other practitioners are all friendly. It feels like true, genuine yoga. I have seen yoga change a lot with the increased popularity of it and certain retailers coming on the scene. Bodhi Yoga is not a competitive environment, it's soft and welcoming the way yoga is supposed to be! Thank you Bodhi Yoga for being true to yoga!! I have really loved the classes I have taken there! All the teachers have been wonderful! And you offer so many classes and at so many times! Makes it easy for me to get there with a crazy schedule!!! Thanks again for starting such a great studio. Long-time member of the Sports club. This is my daily workout facility. I use the gym and take a…read morefew classes per week. They offer a lot more than I use, tennis, kids classes, a field house. The gym is excellent for me. They have a wide variety of equipment, which is plus for me. There is a good amount of free weights, dumbbells, and kettle bells. The Sports Club has a some cable equipment, and a QueenEx (like a jungle gym) which has TRX-type equipment. They have a number of machines. There is not a lot of open space in the gm, but there is enough room for normal workout. At a couple of times the gym can be packed, but normally there is plenty of space. And, there are times the gym is completely empty. There is a cardio section on a different level from the gym, which has treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, etc...They also have a short track around the gym area, which people walk. The classes are very good. Most people could get by taking the classes (which are included) in place of a personal trainer (they have those, as well). My Favorite thing - Towell service. I need a towel when I workout, and I cannot express how much I love that The Sports Club has them available. They do a pretty good job keeping the facility clean. The staff is generally friendly and accommodating. The only real downside for me is the building needs some upkeep, and the parking is a disaster - think grocery store. The club is on the expensive side for running on a treadmill, but it is well priced if you make use of all the club offers.
