Saturday. Apparently, they are "too busy" to serve you, even when the place is basically EMPTY. What should have been a short walk to a salon turned into a full-blown cold-weather endurance test for absolutely nothing. I have a stutter, so I use my phone to communicate with the receptionist. At the time 9:50am, there was literally ONE other customer in the entire place. Chairs. Space. Silence everywhere. I asked if they take reservations, and I was told, "No, we're busy. Come back Tuesday. Can you do Tuesday?" Busy. With WHAT? The air? I had already walked three blocks through frozen, snowy streets, then pushed myself to walk five more blocks in the cold to find another salon. This was DAYS after a major snowstorm. I was cold. I was shivering. I was uncomfortable. And for all that effort, I was basically told, "Nah. Try again another day." No explanation. No empathy. No attempt to help. Just turned away. So yeah, don't waste your time. If you go on a Saturday, be prepared to be told they're "too busy" even when the place is completely empty. I walked through the cold for this, and I wouldn't wish that experience on anyone.

You have to wear a face mask to enter and she wears one the entire time. You have to answer and sign a questionnaire when before you start. Chairs are separated so you never sit next to anyone. this smaller salon is great and it is by appointment only so when I was there I was the only customer. Her has hand sanitizer everywhere and a uv sterilizer for scissors. She gives you another face mask that does not need ear loops so she can do my color and cut. Everything is sanitized after each customer.

I will post the photos of how my hair came out when I went in and asked for a balayage. It turned out to look like a bleach blonde mess that was nothing like the photos I had shown her. My hair was completely damaged and I paid around $150 for that, not including the tip I had to pay. Then, I went back to Buffalo where I go to college and got my hair fixed by Karissa Minner at Exclusively Hair Transit. I have attached photos of what she did to my hair and that was EXACTLY the same thing I had asked for at this salon and was also cheaper ($130). I also got my hair dyed here brown before that experience. I was asked if I want a blow dry, thinking that it would be included and not extra. I declined because the price was already so high so only a small section of my hair was blowdried so I could see if I liked the color and I was forced to leave the salon with wet hair. That employee also takes frequent smoke breaks, which is uncomfortable for me to get my hair done around someone who reeks of second hand cigarette smoke. My sister has gone here and has the same awful experience as me. I actually just went in today when I saw they have a sign for $80 keratin treatments, depending on length and thickness and I went to ask if I would qualify. I was told, by the older employee with the black hair, my hair would be $150 because of the length. She also told me that it's for new customers only, which I missed on the sign, and I said I hadn't been in there since 2015 because I was away at college. However, she said they're "looking for new customers". One would think a business would want to retain old customers. Don't go here unless you want to spend money on a job that looks worse than a box dye for the price of a salon appointment.

He ruined my youngest's gorgeous hair the back looks like a wild animal took a few bites And now I have to pay for another haircut to fix it. I know prices have gone up across the board in many things and services, but for two children's haircuts that is extremely excessive no matter how nice the haircut, or in this case not nice, it was not worth the price considering that neither of my children had their hair washed and were just sprayed damp with a water bottle and then given a trim and he used a hairdryer for a minute after the cut. We were not there long at all. Shame on me for not asking the price before or saying how outrageous the cost was, when I walked in and I made the appointment a few days prior would've never thought that two children's haircuts would cost $100 plus tip in a small and average hair service, would not call this a salon in Little Neck!
