I was recommended this salon by my family and friends. So I came for a bleach and dye. I was happy with the color mixed by Ryan and his thorough explanations of my hair condition. However the person actually touching my hair was not that great. This assistant burned my forehead during bleaching session, tugged and was so rough with my hair. Did not apply the dye properly leaving patchy work. I washed my hair twice with proper care: using cold water, purple depositing shampoo, blue depositing conditioner. My dear daughter wanted to do her hair by getting new highlights and a haircut. Reviews looked good and ratings high but I was not expecting price! Honestly bc I am so low maintenance now compared to my younger self but even then I guess I never really got highlights. Most of mine were DIY box colors and/or sun in! lol! The price for beauty! We started in the am when they just opened and wasn't done till after 6pm so roughly 8 hours! I booked a same-day appointment on a whim after feeling annoyed at my damaged ends, then browsing through Yelp. Their website was user-friendly and I love the fact that the prices are upfront, and if you don't know which stylist you want, the system will assign you one and tell you who it is. Best. Salon. Ever! Kevin fulfilled my dream of getting a perm even though many salons turned me down due to being scared of the risk on perming bleached hair. I used to have balayage hair that I dyed back to black so it was hard to pin point where the bleach started on my head. My friend and I won a $50 voucher for Haiier from a giveaway on their IG (highly recommend following them there) and was super happy to find that they have a Great Neck location very close to where I live. I decided to book with Ken and came in with a vague idea of what I wanted- balayage ombre. We looked at my inspo photos and he suggested what tone and cut to do to best suit my face shape and skin tone. The whole process took about 6.5 hours because I have very long and frizzy hair but I could not be happier with the result. The front desk person also help with washing and setting my hair when Ken was occupied with other customers and she was super sweet as well. One of the most important things for me was keeping as much length as possible, which I knew was going to be hard especially since I was going to get bleached. I'm new to the neighborhood and was looking for a reliable hair salon that would be my new go-to. Haiier had great reviews and looked clean and modern. I liked that they had many locations close to my home and I would be able to pick the most convenient. I was looking to tone or color my hair to cover up the damaged, brassy bottom portion with remnants of balayage from a year ago. I messaged the salon and they were able to give me a recommendation of the service and pricing based on the pictures I sent. When I went in for my appointment, I was surprised that the salon was even more stunning in person. It looks and feels very much like a high end salon, so keep in mind that the prices will reflect that. Everything was pristine and new. I sat down for an in-depth conversation with the stylist, Rain before beginning the toning. He explained to me how toning would make my hair appear healthier and understood from my questionnaire that I was looking for a low maintenance option that would last for months to come. I felt very reassured that he understood exactly what I was looking for, because he was very patient and asked many questions. He also provided a price quote of $80 for the toning, and $60 for the haircut before we began. I had my hair washed before the toning began. The assistant gave a gentle wash with a soothing head massage. I felt very relaxed during the hour I sat with my toner, admiring the beautiful salon and plants. It was not crowded or noisy at all, and the space was so clean. After the toner, Rain trimmed my hair. He gave me a cut that would be low maintenance and would look great even without styling since I emphasized that I don't have time to style my hair on the daily. He gave me the light curtain bangs that I wanted. The cut looked great from different angles and arrangements. It has now been 2 weeks since my visit and my toned ends have faded from dark black to dark brown just like Rain predicted. However, they still have a healthier appearance and blend more nicely with my grown out roots. Haiier is a great option or those looking for a high end salon. $60 is certainly not cheap for a haircut but their stylists are talented and well trained. read more

Review only for haircut service: I am extremely picky with my hair salons/stylists and have been to ones all over Manhattan and Queens. The salon is tidy and clean unlike other Instagram salons that have hair all over the floor, dye bowls everywhere and is crowded/rushed. I appreciate that this location has lots of open reservations and makes it convenient to book around my schedule. Because they have open bookings, stylists do not need to rush through your service and you truly feel taken care of. The ladies who wash your hair before your service are also fantastic, my hair wash lasted about 10 mins and with a nice head massage (remember to tip them!). Both haircuts I've gotten here have been great and by two different stylists. They really listen to you and try to understand what you want, ask if you like it/if the length is ok, etc. Only thing I will pick at (and similar to other Asian hair salons) is that they barely use any product in your hair. Usually American places will use some type of serum, frizz, heat protectant etc before blow drying or styling. Don't be scared to ask for them to use product or else they won't. I won the Haiier Instagram giveaway and Yvonne from Haiier was super responsive in scheduling the appointment and making sure my experience went well. Alven, my master colorist and stylist, did a beautiful job on fixing the color and creating depth in the balayage. It took 7 hours to achieve the hair with two dye processes. Alven was so attentive, brought me water, and picked up my lunch as well. He is primarily stationed in the Syosset Long Island Haiier location if you select him as your master colorist. What I love about Haiier is that there are few amateur colorists working on your hair and the quality of the work is better than most salons. You show them a picture and they replicate it as close as possible which is very difficult for even experienced stylists. read more

I went to their Main ST location in August and had gotten a layered V-shaped cut and was pretty unhappy with how uneven the layers were. I went back and the stylist told me it was because of the way my hair grew from my hairline. I said that makes no sense because I always get the same haircut anywhere I go and never had an issue. He attempted to fix my haircut and I left with shorter layers but they were still uneven. I reached out to the salon and told them I was still unhappy. Haiier referred me to get it fixed at this Roosevelt location with Jay. Jay listened to what I wanted and when he checked my hair he was shocked at my uneven layers. He was so attentive and understanding. He did such an amazing job giving me the layers I wanted. I included pictures of before and after. I found the Haiier Salon in Syosset previously when they were in the phase to be re-opened (sometime around June of 2020), so when they opened this location in Great Neck, i had to check them out since it's closer to where I live. Finding parking in the area was really easy also. I'm trying to grow out a horrible bleached situation and I try to schedule regular cuts but i have a hard time trusting many salons. Both locations of Haiier (Syosset and Great Neck), are amazing. My hair is naturally curly, and slightly damaged from years of coloring it - so i try to make sure i'm in good hands when i get it cut and styled. My stylist was Lyan who is super professional and attentive. She listened to what i wanted, made a few suggestions, and really took her time with my cut. I loved the end result and would highly recommend Lyan as a stylist!
