The installation was delayed from the original date, and when it finally happened, the technician arrived unannounced at 6:50 a.m.--over an hour earlier than scheduled--waking up the entire household. After the technician left, the garage door wouldn't close, and instead of sending someone to fix it, I was told over the phone to try adjusting the sensor myself. Workmanship and customer service was very poor. Later, I discovered that the technician had thrown away the cord to my MyQ system without asking. After multiple follow-ups, they admitted fault and agreed to cover the cost of a replacement, but it took far too much effort to get that resolved. The garage door molding was also installed incorrectly. Despite repeated calls and promises from the owner that it would be fixed within two weeks, months went by with no progress or any initiative from the business to fix it. I had to call multiple times to ask when they were coming. When a technician finally returned- MUCH later than scheduled, he started pulling at the molding WITHOUT notifying us of his arrival--then attempted to leave after "fixing it," telling me to not open the garage door for a day. When I insisted that the installation needs to be done correctly, he left again saying he didn't have the parts to do so. Since then, my calls have been ignored. It's been over four months since the installation, and the molding was only fixed when I called the original company to complain of the issue. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and communication has been deeply frustrating. I hesitate to write bad reviews - I usually only write good ones to help bring business to hard working people. However, these issues have dragged on for over 4 months and I feel that I must warn others about my experience. I hope Garage Door Magician take steps to improve customer service, follow-through, and communication moving forward.
