Günter's has a wide variety of sausages, which are served on baguettes with chimichurri, sauerkraut, hojhoj sauce (a slightly spicy sauce), and mustard. Rather than cut the baguette in half, they drill a hole in the middle, and then fill it with the sausage and toppings, which makes for a neat eating experience without condiments dripping out of the side of the bun. All of the ingredients seem to be high quality, and the chimichurri is an amazing compliment to the sausage. (I always get the sausage with everything, but the chimichurri stands out.) I've been to Günter's at least four times over multiple trips to Stockholm. I've liked everything I've eaten there, but I don't have a standard sausage I order. On this most recent visit, I had the sucuk (a turkish sausage), which was great.

McDonald's seems to be the leading fast-food chain in Stockholm. Ordering from the machines is heavily emphasized so the staff can focus on cooking and distribution. It's a good-sized space, with different kinds of seating and all kinds of humanity. It tends to be messy, at least at busy times. There was soda spilled all over the floor when I arrived, and it didn't get cleaned up until well into my visit. I even had to point out another spot with spilled soda to the staff person so she could clean it took. There was ketchup all over the stand where you get ketchup and napkins. Out front is not exactly clean, either. It took me only a few minutes to get back to my room, but the Big Mac and fries were already considerably cool. Otherwise, they were the typical in terms of appearance and flavor. They were heavily pushing a McFlurry with Sweden's beloved salted black licorice, but I passed. The staff seemed nice enough here - the security guard obviously didn't as he was walking around the store, doing his best to intimidate people who were just queuing up and ordering and even eating - I felt like saying to him "Come on mate it's 11 am how about you do your job rather than trying to intimidate people?", he ended up following me in and out of the store too after I left quite quickly mainly down to the fact I didn't realise they stopped breakfast almost straight away - it seems as soon as it gets to 10:30 they swap over straight away without looking back, possibly even slightly before. There was a decent amount of seating but I do think the store when busy could get rather messy. A typical branch of McDonald's - clean enough due to it being early on in the morning and in a good location but nothing remotely impressive to draw to my attention - a worse selection of drinks in stock compared to other stores was a bummer too.
