While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. What stood out to us was Enviable was already doing work in the neighborhood. They had a very large crew working on a roof with supervisor, Keith, on site. Keith inspected our roof and siding that day and started the ball rolling with our insurance. He met the insurance adjuster at our house. Enviable worked relentlessly with our insurance to get the maximum paid by them. We decided to upgrade the siding, roof, window wrap and gutters. They replaced the water damaged underlayment and flashing caused by builder(1987) negligence that we suspected but couldn't find. Keith, Seth or Joe were on site every work day and after, checking on the work done the day before. Any minor issues were resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. Superior service! Keith was present with photos of before, during and after for any questions the inspector might have had. We passed with flying colors!

They tore down our old home and left a few walls to rebuild per new drawings from our architect. This included framing, siding, installation of windows/doors, front porch/back deck, stairs, interior flooring, installed cabinets, bathroom tile, trim/crown molding, closet organizers, remodeled garage, fence, etc... the list goes on. I just show Phil a picture of what we want and he builds it. The owner Phil Novak and his family have become great friend through this project. I've trust him with a key to our house because he treats it like it's his own. Many of my neighbors, friends and family now use this company. They did an awesome remodel of my neighbor's boat house on Petite Lake. Treat him and his team with respect and they will take good care of you.

They were swamped with calls due to the weather, but he had a crew out to our house within a couple hours. They cleared the snow and ice from our roof and diagnosed the problem. The water stopped, thankfully. And they came back 2 days later to do the recommended repairs. Roofing issues and repairs for me are like taking your car to the mechanic. They tell me what the issues are and what it will take to repair, but I have no clue what they are talking about. All I can say is Eli was SUPER patient with all of our questions and concerns. Roofing work is not cheap, not that it should be. It is dangerous work. And I do believe that you get what you pay for. So, yeah, we laid out some bucks, but the Windy City Flat Roof team was amazing from start to finish. Fast, efficient, and friendly. Can't ask for more than that!
