We are having a great experience with Viking. I was concerned it's a chain and getting different techs. But each one has been kind, professional, and thorough. I hate bugs/critters so we get the comprehensive package. The guys ensure our home is fully protected every time they come. Also, I did a cost comparison of several companies in the Bergen County area and found Viking to have the best value in price and package wise. They have always come immediately when I have had issues and addressed all my concerns. So far I'm having a great experience using them. Extremely Disappointed - Avoid Viking Pest Control!! I am very unsatisfied with the service I received from Viking Pest. My experience with them has been unprofessional from the very beginning. ​After deciding to move forward with their treatment, I signed the contract and waited for a follow-up. Despite having a signed agreement, nobody called me back to schedule. When I took the initiative to call them, the representative actually blamed me, claiming I was the one who failed to schedule and insisting they "didn't see" my signed contract. ​Key issues during my experience: ​Poor Communication: Total lack of follow-up after the contract was signed. ​Zero Accountability: I was transferred 5 times during my call, and not a single person offered an apology or an "excuse me" for the confusion. ​Unprofessionalism: Being blamed for their internal administrative errors is unacceptable. ​Refund Refusal: After such an awful experience, I decided not to move forward and requested a refund. They refused. !​My Recommendation: Do not even call this company. They were told a million times never to just send a technician without making arrangement a week ahead of time with me by phone. This has been going on for years. So they show up just do the outside and they then have to come back. Our profile distinctly notes they must call to arrange an appt. Today received and email at 10 am that the technician was on his way and I called the office at 12 noon and they already did the service but only on the outside . No one was home as we did not have an appt. You can't send an email and say you coming now to do a service. NOT HAPPY. No one on our property without me being home and without an appt made 1-2 weeks ahead of time with me on the phone live. Do not leave texts. Do not leave emails . Christian W. From Viking pest control came to my house after I put in for a phone call regarding a bug infestation in my basement. He arrived promptly and proceeded to inspect then spray the area with the proper chemicals. Thank goodness for Christian's knowledge because he also found animal droppings in my basement - I had chipmunks, too! Without him, I would have never known, or worse- it would've grown into a huge problem for me. He was also funny- a plus. When this division of Viking, Bug Doctor, was owned and run by Bug Doctor Inc., it was excellent. In fact, I have been a Bug Doctor Customer for over 20 years. They were customer, and service driven with wonderful respectful people on staff. Since Viking Pest Control has taken over Bug Doctor, all of that has gone away. All they want to do is sell you things that aren't necessary. While I still have my original technician and inspector, the support staff in the office is HORRIBLE, especially Patty who is only interested in telling you what they can't do and billing you for things you don't want. If she's who they have dealing with customers, it's not saying much for the quality of employees that represent Viking. STAY AWAY or you'll wind up being billed for service you didn't order, didn't receive, and cancelled. read more
