The reviews are true! The owner sent a technician to work on our spider Catastrophe! Those spiders are no joke. Imaging the spider as big as my palm. They drop right on my son's pillow and another one jump on my in-law's face. The technician came on time and exam every corner in our house. After the inspection, the technician went to work on the treatment and spent more than an hour in total. He even check my attic to make sure no signs of spiders or bugs. On the following day, we found not only the spider are almost gone but all crickets went disappeared. The whole house is whisper quiet. Imagine multiple circuits singing in your house calling each other in the middle of night. Another benefit is no more silver fish. Hopefully, the treatment can last for three months. I will continue to ask them to return quarterly for at least a year. read more

I contacted the company because I had been hearing loud scratching between the walls and found droppings behind my stove. I actually caught a rat on glue traps that had managed to escape. I called Universal Pest Control to get a second opinion about some animal noises in our home. I am SO glad I found this company! They did an assessment and quickly realized the first company I'd called was totally lying and trying to sell us stuff we didn't need. They quickly determined the actual problem (birds in bathroom duct), resolved it, and even adjusted the price down from the initial quote once they realized it was birds and not squirrels. They also noticed an old wasp nest that a previous pest treatment had never bothered to look for and kindly removed it for us. I still can't believe the first company straight up lied to us. These guys really know what they're doing! I have a debilitating fear of centipedes and a few months after moving into our new house, they all came out of hiding in our basement. I had a wasps nest in the corner or wall adjacent to an inaccessible attic above our kitchen. When some of the wasps started to enter the kitchen through the small openings in my recess light mounting units, I knew I had a serious issue. I had treated a wasp nest myself in my previous home. That time they had built a nest in the wall under one of my windows. But with my current situation I did not want to tackle it on my own. I hired Universal Pest Control for the job. With a hidden wasp nest like this one it took two treatment applications to rid of all the wasps. A big "thank you" to both to Evans and Paul for helping me out. We even collaborated for a temporary solution to capture any stray wasps getting into my kitchen to catch them in a "trap bag" taped under one of my recess lights. Good we did. I don't appreciate waiting an hour and 45 minutes on a beautiful, sunny, 70 degree day for no one to show up. 15 minutes before the end of the 2 hour window I selected, I called to ask what's up? I was expecting something lame like: he's running behind schedule or even worse, he's not going to make it at all and I need to reschedule. BUT NO, I was told that I was never even put on the schedule because he/she had already hit the road. Now maybe this is just me and my silly ideas of what customer service should be BUT why didn't the scheduler ( or ANYBODY ) call me in the morning to say it just wasn't going to happen today. If they don't care about wasting 2 hours of my day then they certainly haven't earned my trust to provide even minimal quality service. I found universal pest control on Yelp about a year ago when we moved into our new house. Being a new homeowner I didn't realize how often I'd need a pest specialist to come help us but in this year they've helped us with things like bees, squirrels, mosquitos, ants, mice and maybe more I can't think of. We were loosing sleep because of squirrels that had made their way into our roof and Mosquitos in August were eating us alive and we had a hive of wasps that stung my husband, we couldn't enjoy our patio. We called the friendly guys over at Universal Pest control. The next day they came by to check the effected areas. Then two days later the professional crew came bright and early and got to work setting a trap for the squirrel and sprayed our property. In two days I felt the mosquitos went away. We could hear the squirrel attempting to get past the trap but couldn't get in. After two weeks the team came back to remove the trap and seal up our roof. These guys are awesome. We had a mice issue. Our house went from having a single mouse to pretty much being infested over the course of two months. Winter time is bad concerning pests because your house becomes a safe haven for them. When first looking for signs of mice, most were found in our kitchen area under the sink (yuck) and we had to throw out alot of our packaged foods that they had gotten into. A little guy even came out to say hello when the exterminator was looking around. That was a rarity as mice usually hate humans. Ours didnt. They came back only a few days later and rigged our entire kitchen and attic (which is where they were coming from) with snap traps and poison. Who knew mice didnt actually like cheese? Instead they prefer peanut butter and slim jims. All we heard from the time the exterminator left was snap snap snap and three days past that, we have zero signs of mice. We have lots of animals, dogs mainly. They were very good at keeping the poisoned areas out of the dogs reach so that was super cool too. They come back periodically to remove the waste and lingering poison so the house doesnt ever actually smell like dead mice. Super professional, very nice people, and more efficient than i thought was possible. Pricing was incredibly affordable, much less than we anticipated. I would look no further than these guys. Well, I've been at war with a wayward groundhog, Fatty the Ghetto Groundhog (yes, I named him). He dug a hole in my yard the size of a cemetery plot & then I stepped in another hole & fell while trying to spread pellets (which he nibbled on like it was cocktail hour while he inhaled the ammonia that was supposed to work too. Nothing worked!) So I called around....actually called Universal Pest Control first. I liked the friendliness of the owner. He was great. We made an appointment. He came out at the time he stated. Inspected my yard. Laid 2 traps. Within 2 hours, Fatty was trapped and the owner came back to retrieve him, expeditiously. He left the other trap just in case. It was affordable (money well spent) & he offers a 30 day warrantee (the owner can explain the details). I'm super happy with the results & I will use Universal again. And to Fatty the Ghetto Groundhog, I say "So long! We hardly knew ye!" Update: 5/24/19 came back for a possum (Posey the Possum who was quite unfriendly. Showing fangs and all that. They arrived promptly to do an inspection for how mice are getting in. I have a larger older home, so I braved myself that it would likely be a big number. They suggested that trapping may be a better solution because exclusion would cost a lot and may not even be successful considering the size and age of the house. I was very happy that they gave an honest opinion instead of immediately going to the very expensive "solution" - of course if the problems continue I'll be reaching out to them and attempting exclusion if trapping does not work. read more

We had raccoons in our crawlspace. I called a ton of companies. Their estimates were hundreds of dollars (in one case $1000+) more than universal quoted and charged me.
