I submitted a complaint about Viking to the Better Business Bureau in early March and Viking has not even replied to the complaint. Supposedly they have 30 days to respond, it's now been over a month. My yard is still torn apart and completely ruined and they don't even care enough to respond to the complaint through the BBB. They don't care about their customers at all and if you're a single female, be aware. My next step is small claims court since the aren't responding. read more

These guys are the real deal! I had them repipe my entire house since it had polybutylene, we had to replace ALL of it, including cutting into dry wall and replacing the shower and bath plumbing. The project lasted three days, and they found NUMEROUS problems that other large plumbing companies in the valley screwed up (example: major plumbing company used a natural gas pipe for my shower plumbing, a huge problem that I never knew about). They gave me peace of mind with their expertise and attention to detail. We had a broken shower that would not turn off and we had to turn off the water to our house. I messaged Viking Plumbing early in the morning and someone contacted me by 8:30. They were polite and scheduled a time for me that morning. The technician arrived as promised. Jose was friendly and helpful and explained everything he did along the way. 2 honest, professional and polite gentlemen came out the same day I called with a drain issue in my master shower. It turned out I just had a very clogged drain and didn't need anything more then the grate cleaned. They said no charge and I offered to at least pay for a service call. They wouldn't accept it !!! I'm new to Idaho and I have to say I have never had any poor service experience from any company. So not used to that based on where I came from !!! I hesitate leaving negative reviews for a business as I know people have off days, but my experience with Viking irked me enough to leave a review... I called Viking because of the positive reviews I had seen and was looking for an honest company to fix our water heater. The person who arrived at our house approached the door without a mask (during a pandemic) and stated "I'm a republican" for his reason why he wasn't wearing one. No joke. He advised that the element had gone out and recommended replacing the water heater altogether. We got a quote for just replacing the element vs the whole unit and opted to just replace the element-- Covid has hit us hard financially. We got a call about an hour later that the specific elements for that model are no longer manufactured and we would need to replace the whole unit. After asking about financing options, I was passed on to a manager (maybe owner?) who was nice on the phone and said he would email me options and asked me to call right back with a decision. I returned the call only to get routed to the office where they scoffed and said that person had left 3 hours before and wasn't available. I had to argue that I just spoke with them 1 minute before, then had to wait for them to email the manager before getting a call back. I happened to miss the call as I stepped away from my phone for 2 minutes. He left a voicemail stating to call him back-- but also said "I hope Vince made it clear he wouldn't be able to get it done until next week", after he had promised it would be the same day, or the next day. At that point I didn't want to give our money to a company we felt didn't respect us or our time and went with another company. The other company did, in fact, locate the elements we needed, so I feel Vince was dishonest about that. In the end, we paid less with a different company, got better customer service and were taken care of within 5 hours of calling on a Saturday. read more

Caleb showed up on time and fixed my problem quickly. I'm no expert, but his prices seemed fair, and he even made a few adjustments. (minor) to a toilet which wasn't part of the job, and didn't charge for it. He's friendly and chatty (but not too chatty!) Viking Plumbing is THE BEST!!!! ESPECIALLY DON! He is the man! We are Don's customers for life! We bought a house and our hot water heater went out. Don came over on his day off to help us. We had many issues to get through before it started working and Don was so amazingly helpful. He was there for us night and day and he really cared about us... which was my favorite part. Caleb and his crew are top notch! We had them come look at a leak that was in our laundry room coming from our bathroom. They gave and assessment and let us know we had a bigger problem on our hands. I truthfully let them know they were second on coming out to give us a bid. Caleb was so understanding that we had to do our research. The other company got mad that I didn't sign right then and there, needless to say I went with Viking. The other company did let us know like Caleb we had to dig a trench through our yard and our neighbors yard out to the sewer, I was not happy! The difference was the other guys said it had to be done that day, where Caleb bought us some time by snaking out our pipes to give us time to get our finances in order. Coming up with $4,000 on the spot was a bit hard to swallow. That being said their bid was way lower than the other company. I am in the remodeling industry and I know that a low bid doesn't always mean good work, this wasn't the case here, we got the best of both worlds! Tyler was his main lead on our project and stayed late many days to get the job done, he was polite and extremely knowledgable. He made everything easy for us to understand and was all around a great guy! I can not recommend Viking enough. I have told many of my friends. I have worked with Viking Plumbing on several projects in the past for which I received great service. Unfortunately, today I had to work with Caleb Case, the owner of Viking Plumbing, and it was highly unsatisfactory experience. He was late in arriving and did not call to let me know. That adversely affected my arrangements to let him into the house. I asked his office to have him call me when he arrived at the home since I could not be there to talk to him while he was working. I had several questions about adjustments on my water softener. He never called me. Later when I called his office to find out what was going on, the receptionist transferred me to Caleb Case, who by that time was back at the office. I attempted to ask my questions. Caleb responded to my questions in an extremely patronizing manner basically suggesting I was an idiot if I could not figure out the settings on a water softener. I reminded him that I am not a plumber nor do I plan to become a plumber. That is the reason I spend a lot of money to hire a plumber for their expertise. Caleb continued to speak to me in an unprofessional, patronizing, offensive, and derogatory manner. I asked him to transfer the call back to his office staff immediately. Instead he hung up on me. When I made repeated attempts to call back, all I got was voicemail. After this disappointing experience, I will NEVER use the services of Caleb Case or Viking Plumbing again. I recommend the same to anyone else who values professional courteous service. read more
