Great customer service! Priced fairly for the industry in our area. They met all my asks promptly and were very knowledgable about their products. I initially called for a repair as my AC motor died. They diagnosed it promptly and offered the fix. Trane repairs are not cheap and my refrigerant was retired by the industry. So, we replaced our AC and Heater at the same time. Their initial offering was at the budget model from Goodman but I didn't want a system that would only last 10 years. I wanted something that woud pair with my replaced Trane system and last over 25+ years. They recommended Amana as their high end and it has a lifetime warranty. However, I was not told I needed to register these units within 60 days to keep that extended warranty. So luckily, I read the fine print and completed that. Its almost been two months and the systems are working well! I highly recommend this team for any installations and repairs. read more

I needed my annual furnace service and I liked the fact they don't gouge you for weekend or after hours emergency's. Their rating are very good so I gave them a shot. They got right back to me but the appointment was almost a month out. Showed up right on time. The service technician was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. So we called at 6am to get ahead of the rush on what is supposed to be a hot weekend. We thought we would get an answering service and maybe someone to come later in the day or next day. Gary answered the phone and he was at our house in just about an hour which was BEFORE 8a on a Saturday. Excellent diagnostic and no extra charge for the after hours call. Bottom Line Up Front: Dont waste you're time calling around trying to find an honest and cost efficient HVAC company, I've done the research for you, and this company is it! A more in depth review: My house is 20 years old and as such, the water heater, furnace, and Air Conditioner (AC) have been limping by for the past few years, so I decided it was time to pull off the bandaid and get them all done at once. I called 6 places for quotes, and "analysis". Every place I contacted (and came to my house), although I'm sure were competent, were more expensive, and gave the feeling that they were trying to sell me a car instead of helping me replace my units. Then I talked to rob. Rob was simple. Over the phone based on my description of my house he knew EXACTLY what units I needed, quoted a price that was lower than everyone else, AND BEST OF ALL HE WAS HONEST. Here is what I mean. Ladies and gentlemen if you've done your research a 40 and a 50 gallon water heater cost the same wherever you go, cursory research on the matter will tell you as such. Putting a platform under your AC unit to make it look pretty and ensure it doesn't rock, is standard procedure. Other companies I talked to acted as if "they were including it in this package as if it were the deal of a lifetime". Saying they would "upgrade my water heater for no extra cost" while technically true, both water heaters cost the same anyways.... NOT ROB. It was a 5 minute phone conversation, with a quote that matched what he final cost was, and you could tell he cared about me and my needs. The installation was estimated to take all day, but only took 6 hours. They were SO FAST AND SO CLEAN. You couldn't even tell they were there. Thank you Rob for everything. I have used several different companies over the years due to warranty requirements and contractor choices but without fail, I always return to Capital City. They never hound me about "replacing my system". They are upfront about their pricing (which I believe is fair) and they are fast to complete the service. My first experience with them was many years ago on a very hot night when my a/c quit. I was working, so my husband called around only to find that no one would come out for several days. I had heard Capital City's ad on the radio about no additional charges for off hours, so I called them. These guys did an amazing job on our new AC and furnace. Not only did they have a reasonable price, but they showed up on time in the morning and worked all day until the job was done. And it was NOT a simple job. Our old AC/Furnace was on the smaller side for our size house. The new larger unit we purchased had to fit in the same spot but hemmed in by a gas pipe and a lot of water lines for our well pump. They left and came back with the extra parts needed to reroute the gas pipe out of the way. They were clever and got the job done. They were hard workers and fun to talk to. This week tech Haylen came to perform an annual checkup on our furnace. This is the first time we have used Capital City. Our furnace is in the crawl space. When Haylen arrived, I asked if he had been informed of the crawl space and he said he had not, but he didn't flinch a bit. He just got to work. Afterward Haylen explained to us all that he had done. He explained the only slight concern was one capacitor, "but you don't need to replace it at this point." He did not pressure us to spend more money. I have lived in air conditioner purgatory for the past several years. Our unit just did not do the job the way I wanted it done, and it was not unusual for our house to be 80 degrees inside when it was 95-100 degrees outside. Not that many days a year and I did not want to spend the money for a new unit. Friday night the air conditioner died and it was 88 degrees upstairs and the normally cold basement where we sleep was just barely cooler. I called Capital City early in the morning, about 7:30 and expecting an answering machine. Michael, the owner answered the phone and was at my house in about an hour. The eighteen year old unit needed to be replaced and we were given a quote that was actually less than what we had paid eighteen years earlier for the now defunct machine. I was going to get quotes, but he said he could have a new unit put in Saturday evening, and he would not charge us for the service call. He had me at Saturday evening, as the thought of another night in a hot house was NOT a pleasant one. Only a few hours later the installation crew came and installed a new unit. One day later, the fan in the furnace died. I called and a new tech showed up and fixed it with a new fan. I thought we were good to go, but, sigh, I was wrong. The unit kept kicking off. Another call, and they discovered that the old coil in the furnace was not compatible with the new coil in the air-conditioning unit. I was getting more than a little frustrated, but also knew the furnace was old too. I did not want to be a whiner, so I said nothing. Michael was on top of it. He offered to do the new coil at half price, in effect giving me a free fan. He said his tech should have realized the coil was not compatible with the new coil, even though the sticker on the outside of the furnace indicated that it would be. Once the furnace was opened, it was labeled differently than the sticker on the outside. The new coil was installed. Yesterday it was well over 90 degrees and inside it never got over 73 degrees. 73 degrees is dead bang on my comfort level. Normally I would not give a five star review when there are so many call backs involved, but when the owner offers a discount to make up for my inconvenience, I would feel less than honest if I did not take that into consideration. As a business owner, I always feel that how you handle a problem is much more important than how you handle things when everything goes perfect. I am impressed! P.S. As I was proof reading this, I felt a stirring of cool air as the fan came on. I check the inside monitor and I see the temp is where I want it, and it is looking to be a scorching hot day outside. I simply wish that every experience with a service company was like this one. Everyone at this company from the person answering the phone to the technician are not only consummate professionals but genuinely nice people. They are quick to help you find a solution and to get you into the schedule. Frankly, with this kind of service, I'm surprised you can book this year. I was having an air conditioning problem and needed some help. When they got here, I wasn't really an issue, just a quick fix and they only charged me for the service call. A couple of weeks later my ac had a leak on the hottest day of the year and by 7pm my bedroom was 93 degrees. I called them around 7pm, they were there an hour later, identified the problem, i had a small leak and my ac had frozen up. They told me to call when it started blowing cold again. I called back around 10pm and they showed back up, charged my unit and were on their way. Best part? Same service charge as if I'd called them between 9-5. I now simply can't imagine ever using another company or recommending anyone else for ac or heating service. Their pricing is super competitive and the people are honest. We discovered that our a/c was not working last Friday night, looked through Yelp for referrals as we are new to the area and called Capital City. They returned my call immediately and were onsite in 45 minutes, around 9pm the same night. Technician was excellent, found a leak in our freon, had to re-weld the joint and charge the freon.
