It was worth every penny. Joe and Dillon were the best crew and made the trip so entertaining for us. Bring your favorite drinks and cycle to local dive bars and eateries. We played cornhole and ate appetizers at our first stop and had mudslides and green tea shots at the next. The locals are fun to interact with and some even followed us from bar to bar. My daughter and I had an absolute blast piloting the boat, and once we got over the fear factor that we were going "too fast" and gained confidence in piloting the boat for the first time, it felt like second nature. We did the 3 hour Mystic River tour which ended with a "free sail" hour at the end. However, we opted not to go out into the Sound due to heavily windy conditions, so we stayed in the channel in the "playground" area doing donuts and figure-eights. Before we knew it the 3 hours was up. Rob was a great host and he taught us how to pilot the boats in no time. He was also very knowledgeable of the Mystic seaport area. We had a great time and will absolutely be making this a regular part of our yearly Mystic trips!

The reviews were all highly praising and it looked like a fun experience. I have to say: don't hesitate! Book them! Rob was a pro guide and made sure we understood how to operate our boat safely and how to get the most fun out of it. Yes, there are safety things that you need to be aware of, but he was very encouraging of us trying out what the boat can do. We loved getting to do donuts in our boat! The tour itself was very informative, and we really got a feel for the area. We're already looking forward to returning for another season with a full group of friends to rent out all the boats. This is a must-do activity when visiting Mystic. Be sure to arrive on time as requested so that you can be briefed on the safety. That is so important, and that is why they tell you in advance that you will be turned away if you are late to the safety briefing. For those of you who may be wondering, there is ample parking, and it was about a 15-20 minute drive with traffic from downtown Mystic. We were looking for an activity that would be fun for a multigenerational group of 23 people with toddlers, seniors, and everyone in between. We had been in communication with Oliver for months in advance. About two weeks before the big day, we saw that the forecast called for showers throughout Memorial Day weekend, particularly the Sunday of our planned cruise. We monitored the weather and decided to make a decision closer to the day. Throughout the entire process of planning, Oliver was responsive, reliable, accommodating, and kind. On the morning of the trip, Oliver gave us multiple options and worked with us to make sure that we could cancel and get a full refund due to the inclement weather. He provided us with agency up to the last hour of decision making. On a day that could have been really stressful, Oliver alleviated some of that stress. That is exceptional customer service, and that is the reason we will be coming back to the Argia for another special occasion. He took us to many fishing spots around the Montauk lighthouse, some closer to shore and others a ways out. He had many spots marked on his Gps so they were easy to get to. He baited all of our lines, measured all of our catches so we had keepers to take home. He also filleted some sea bass for us at the end. We did a lot of research and were unable to book a sailing adventure until we spoke with Afton from our hotel. Afton was fantastic and was able to find Island Girl Adventure for us. Words can't express the amazing experience we all had. Bill & Maggie picked us up from the Marina at Gurney's Star Island. They were super friendly and down to earth captains! They took us on a beautiful Sunset Cruise around Montauk and treated us to chilled champagne and gourmet appetizers! We listened to relaxing music and had many laughter's during the two hour trip. The photos we captured during this sunset cruise are priceless and we're all left with beautiful memories that will last a lifetime! My 2.5 year old daughter joined us on this trip and wore a life jacket. According to the captains she was the youngest guest/sailor on their charter :) She had lots of fun as she watched the sunset on the ocean! We can't wait to return and book a Fishing Trip w/Bill & Maggie! We highly recommend them and can't wait to see them again soon!
