Some of the nurse aides…read morethat do work there outright break HIPPA laws by blabbing your family personal matters that should not even concern them to other people including their own family. This happened to us by an aide who spoke about our personal matters and shared them with her own teenage daughter and we found out when my children heard about this from other kids at their high school. I tried to communicate with the administrator about this matter and first of all he's never even there then he totally ignored my phone calls and ignored all of my emails concerning these breaches in confidentiality. It wasn't even ONE day after my parent had passed away and when I went to pick up belongings I discovered that housekeeping had taken it upon themselves to go through all of his personal belongings without anyone even asking them to and threw away things that they should never have touched. Many things ended up being missing and no one has any idea to this day what happened to them. No one ever asked anyone to pack up anything and they should never touch anything when there is family to handle things. There is a nurse there named Rebecca who is a bitch and who also went beyond what her limits are and stuck her nose into family matters that should never should have concerned her. I had many, many negative experiences associated with this place. Horrible.

Spot on and appropriately interventional. The CNA's were gentle and kind to her, respectful and so hardworking. Even the agency staff did good jobs, following the lead of the regular staff. I visited nearly every day, my brother visited every evening. (So, believe me, we didn't miss much) The food was sometimes great, sometimes institutional but delivered with smiles and offers to bring whatever they could to please the patient. The facility needs a facelift, painting, renewed. But that's on the owners, not the staff. The actual caregivers were far above average. Mom was kept clean. Her room was small and corporate owners need to invest $$ in the bland courtyard. My MIL is in a premier nursing home in Greenville where everything is constantly being beautified. If Kadima ever would put $$ into this facility, it would never have an empty bed because of the staff. Mom's care was every bit as good as my MILs. There are no odors, the bathrooms (while old are worn)were kept so clean!(great housekeeping staff too) We dealt with every facet of this facility from billing (wonderful and professional) to administration (always willing to address concerns) to activities (super) to therapy (always going the extra mile) to maintenance (friendly and very hardworking). Mom was spoken to with respect and kindness. She was cared for with gentleness. By every staff member we encountered. None were found lacking. I would choose Kadima again. As mom became sicker, the compassion shown our family was over the top.

For my husband, a Girard native, moving here was "coming home." For me, it has become home in one short year. If you're bored at Springhill, you really aren't trying. You can be busy 24/7. The staff is professional and compassionate, the food delicious, and residents accomplished and engaging. My husband and I look forward to this next phase in our life journey and many more active years ahead in a natural, safe, and engaging environment that is Springhill.

Thank you to all the staff of Arden Courts/ Chagrin Falls!…read more After scouring Cleveland (and its' surrounding areas) for a Memory Care facility, we were fortunate and blessed to discover Arden Courts/ Chagrin Falls. The challenge was finding a facility that would not just "house" Mom, but one that would comfort her, engage her, make her feel independent and safe, a loving environment with a friendly and caring "community" of compassionate people, a place she would comfortably call home. Arden Courts Has proved to be like no other facility we've experienced. Never did we think Mom would be comfortable in a "locked" environment. With Arden Courts unique architectural design, Mom is free to independently walk around through courtyards and gardens leaving and reentering at will. Never does she feel cloistered or overwhelmed by "institution" like hallways and corridors. Loud noises from the hustle and bustle of large number of residents and visitors simply does not exist. Arden Courts/ Chagrin Falls is respectful, dignified. The principals and aids are trained expertly at what they do. They know and understand what residents and family are having to go through. With sincerest compassion they guided us through ( what was extremely difficult) the emotional and physical realities of the transition. Day and night we were updated and advised through the moving process. They were so right - all the worry and panic we had was unnecessary. Simply amazing. Never Thought we would get to this point. We are calm and confident Mom resides in the best possible facility of its kind. We visit often with pleasure! She is happy at long last and we are grateful for our new peace of mind. When the client has dementia and lives on the east side, I feel that there is no better facility for me to recommend to our families than Arden Courts. The staff is personable, knowledgeable and compassionate and I have watched them take in a new resident and bring comfort and peace of mind to overwhelmed and frazzled family members. The Arden Courts philosophy really honors the personhood of the individual with dementia by not so much focusing on what's been taken away, but rather on what remains.
