    Chicken burrito and strawberry margarita
    Belle B.

Fast service, nice waitress ,and nice size portions. Me and the hubby stopped here to celebrate cinco de Mayo, Our usual spots were over crowded. The food was pretty good, I ordered the chicken burrito and my husband got the steak and they both were pretty good. The only thing I wasn't to happy about was the drinks, they weren't as strong as we would have liked. And for that I can only give 4 stars. But other than that, it was a good experience!

    Shrimp tostada

The chips and salsa were pretty good, as was the friendly and quick service. My husband and I ate tostadas. They were nice and big and came with two tostada shells, so we were able to make two tostadas each. My husband had the mixed seafood tosada. He was a bit disappointed that the crab was imitation and not the real stuff. My shrimp tostada was good, but it had a layer of mayo on the shell, which I am not a fan of. The place is clean and has a nice feel to it. Great option if you are craving mecican seafood. The molcajete looked amazing! Dont forget to ask the server to include a tip if you are using a credit card. They do not have an option for adding tip after running a card!!

OMG beef and steak nachos with the works!! A must try

Yesterday they had a special and I went by and picked up 5 pounds of cold boiled crawfish and had those today. there was a special on, and I won't quote the price, but it was the lowest I've seen crawfish in years. I was so excited I forgot to get corn and potatoes. We were so happy when they came back after they were severely flooded in 2016. The new space is much nicer than the old one was. Over the years they have expanded their fresh seafood while sticking with only things that are truly fresh. They also have a frozen section with a great variety. They have plenty of parking, which is great because you'll need the extra space to dodge potholes the size of kiddie pools. That lot is in horrible condition!! By the time we parked, our car needed a mechanic chiropractor. Unlike the parking lot, the inside was clean and moderately busy. When it was finally our turn, I confidently ordered hot large crabs. Pointing towards the display case showcasing a pan containing a moderate amount of cold crabs, the cashier replied, "We do not have large size hot crabs, only medium size cold crabs at $7.99 a pound." I slowly turned and looked at my husband with the universal married look that says, "Did we come all this way for refrigerated disappointment?" My husband the optimistic one decided we'd go ahead and get some anyway. As the employee began filling our order, I noticed she was selecting the smallest crabs from underneath the larger ones on display. I politely asked if she could choose larger ones instead, but my request wasn't acknowledged. After asking again and still receiving no response, I requested to select the crabs myself and was not acknowledged. At that point, we decided not to complete the purchase. For us, customer service is just as important as the food. We have a rule. If the service isn't there or the product isn't what a business is known for, it's okay to walk away. We almost settled, and that's never a good idea--especially these days when every dollar counts. And let's be honest the crabs were cold and my imagination started asking questions. How long have they been sitting there? Are these today's crabs...or are we on yesterday's episode? Maybe Randy's has amazing days. Maybe people leave carrying steaming bags of giant crabs while angels sing overhead. Friday, July 24th, just wasn't one of those days. Between the obstacle-course parking lot that doesn't qualify for FEMA assistance, the missing hot crabs, and being completely ignored by employee, this trip was an empty shell of what we expected.

I went last night, my fiancé ordered the pork chop platter with mashed potatoes and yams as the sides. I ordered the salmon with greens and yams as the side. It took 15 minutes to receive the food, which I didn't mind because I figured it was cooked to order. Before driving off I tasted the food in my to go box; the sweet chili salmon was super salty, it seems to be seasoned with some extremely peppery seasoning (I'm thinking it was Montreal steak seasoning.) the salmon was SWIMMING in the sweet chili glaze. The yams were extremely sweet and had a slimy gooey texture: it was mostly dark brown liquid with small potatoe chunks. The greens were actually in my fiancé's to go box, and those seemed to be seasoned with the same peppery seasoning, with lots of vinegar. These were probably to the worst greens I've had in my life! My fiancé did like his pork chops, he had slimy yams like mine, and his mashed potatoes were obviously doctored instant mashed potatoes. My fiancé took my box back and had them recook the salmon; it was slightly less salty, but still extremely peppery. He told me when he told the girl at the front counter, she asked "so what do you want me to do." That's a poor response from a customer service standpoint. All in all, this food totaled almost 50 dollars and was not worth it. The quality was super disappointing. I won't return to this location.

This restaurant is a fully authentic and family run small business you have to try for yourselves. It's located in a small building on the eastern portion of Florida Blvd., east of the Hi Neighbor Supermarket. They have takeout, but there is also an adequate amount of seating so one can comfortably eat in. The menu explains each dish to the uninitiated, and there are some great combination plates. However, you could also order an appetizer and a side or two to make your own combination or to try different things. A couple of papusas and a side might make a nice option. Don't forget the authentic drinks while you are at it. There's several types of sodas you should check out. I had my first banana flavored Honduran soda last time I stopped in, it's was deliciously different!
