So many VERY YUMMY buffet options!
    David S.

The wife and I enjoyed their Labor Day lunch which included items from their dinner buffet for $25, not too bad considering the many authentic pan-asian dishes they had on the buffet. I greatly enjoyed sampling the shrimp curry, mapo tofu, and creative sushi items! The standards like egg rolls, rangoons, fried rice, and fried fish. The waitress was very attentive and always removed our old plates very quickly and always had our drinks refilled. We paid at the table, which my wife appreciates because there always seems to be big crowds of people walking around and after 2 trips to the buffet we were both tired of dodging people! We'll gladly take a busy buffet over a slow one any day though, and Asian Seafood House was definitely a lovely experience!

My hot pot restaurant decided to remove their hot pot offerings and opted for a buffet. Although they had a variety of selections from snow crabs, lobsters, mussels, clams, stir fry, and fried food with fruits and desserts, it pales i comparison to the hot pot. We went on a Saturday evening and at $26 the price is on point for the offerings available. They did have dim sum but it's only offered during lunch time. Will try to go again and try the dim sum. I didnt like that the soups were in the rectangle holding pan vs the actual soup containers but I'm guessing they had to make do with what they had available. I always enjoyed the food they had before cause flavor wise they are one of the best I've had in BR. Not too bad and pretty good deal if ur already on that side of town

We plan to get their dim sum here. Turn out it all you can eat buffet. We decided to go ahead and give it a try. Haven't had Chinese buffet any states, any cities for long time. But this place look clean and since it's just open everything still fresh from utensils for get the food and their food selection. They served more variety of food. Their dim sum just so so. But their other foods delicious. Not trying the sushi so idk how is it. And my favorite is their rambutan, dragon fruits and the egg tarts cake . Service was good.

Very good selection of food on the buffet. The staff was super attentive with clearing tables and refilling drinks. Will definitely be back.

I always enjoy their food! The service is fast and the waitors are polite. It's clean, quiet, and a family friendly environment. They have affordable lunch specials and their shrimp fried rice is some of the best in the city! It's full of jumbo shrimp!!! We tried the hotpot and it was sort of bland. I know we have to add our own seasonings, but I prefer a more seasoned base. The meat was good quality and overall we didn't have any complaints.

Visiting BR for a week we thought giving this dim sum restaurant a try. We went for lunch. Nice place and friendly service. The inside is nice and clean. We ordered the crispy duck lunch special and some dim sum dishes. The chicken feet, shrimp rice rolls and steamed buns were all ok.

The table was sticky. Pardon the pun, but I'm a stickler for clean tables and floors. My rule of thumb is if a restaurant is willing to have a not so nice dining area, imagine what the kitchen is like. Everything looked clean, except the tactile table. The did clean again upon request. Very friendly staff. The Red Oil Wonton were delicious. Well spiced with only what can described as a tiny meatball inside the soft wanton. The stuffed wanton are worth a trip back. Xiao Long Bao is a filled dumpling with soup in it. You put the dumpling in a spoon, take a small bite or poke it with a chopstick, then eat. The broth on the bao was great. Very flavorful as you "popped" the bao and drank it (they supply a big spoon). Other than the logistical challenge of using chopsticks and a large spoon, very tasty broth and stuffing. Special mention for the shrimp broth. Unusual taste. Some in Louisiana may think it's a bit "off" but I really didn't think so. It reminded me of those little dry shrimp they used to sell next to the cash registers at grocers, lol. Just a different shrimp taste. Overall, worth a return trip. Or a visit for something different. On Siegan Lane. $$

I have to preface this review with saying that I am visiting from out of town where there are plenty of Asian food. So after hearing raging review about this place, I figure I have it a try. I came on Labor Day and the wait was ~45 minutes. The restaurant was very busy. Ambience was good. Dim sum - tried the usual and Har Gao was probably the best dim sum dish. Shrimp was fresh. The worst one is probably the chicken dumplings. Skin was so thick, and the filling is pretty much chicken breast, which was very dry. Beef flat noodle was disappointing as well. The noodle was all broken and overall very bland. Orange ginger chicken has a unique fresh orange taste to it. It was refreshing Pricing wise - this place is expensive. Would I recommend or go back? That would be a no. It might be the "best" Chinese restaurant in NOLA, But if you are from out of town, I would skip this place

Beware if you have not experienced push cart dimsum as it can be really overstimulating. But I like the aspect of it because it feels really authentic. Since the last time I have been here, there were some new items they offered. One that I tried was the black sesame salted egg yolk bun, which I really liked! Its a good runny consistency and has a good flavor if you like salted egg yolk. Other than that, we had the typical dimsum classics like shu mai, har gow, and chicken feet which were all pretty good, but not insanely good. My biggest complaint about the place is the spacing of the tables. The tables are barely one foot apart from one another, so it feels like we are in everyones conversation and I can imagine if it were busier, it would be tight and uncomfortable. I substituted romaine lettuce for iceberg, and the lettuce was fresh, crisp, and not torn or browned at all, which I really appreciated. The crab wontons were crispy and delicious, and the sauce that came with them added great flavor. The key lime pie was also very good, although the portion felt a little small for the price. The location is fun and creative (food arriving by dumbwaiter never gets old), but the lack of tables makes it tricky if you're planning on more than a quick bite. And not the soy sauce or seasoning kind you'd expect with dim sum--just straightforward table salt. We ordered four dishes, and I was glad I saved the wings for last since they were the least salty. By the time I circled back through the other plates, all I could taste was salt, which sadly masked what were otherwise really well-balanced, flavorful dishes (the Dan Dan dumplings in particular had great flavor underneath it all).
