Located away from the main city center this is an old style Swedish restaurant with really grand interiors and fabulous views of the water and City. If you don't know this place exists you are not likely to find it as it's a bit of walk from the city center to get here. The service here is very formal and the menu very Swedish. Priced on the higher side it's not over priced for what is on offer. The menu is fairly extensive with a big wine list as well. There was 6 of us at lunch and we had a lovely table with nice views. The restaurant is divided into rooms and we were in the larger of the three rooms. I ordered a mushroom soup for main which was very nice and creamy. Loved it very much. My chocolate fondant was also nice and gooey and I loved it. Service was very good and everyone in our party enjoyed their meals very much. I would come back here again. It's classic restaurant with classic Swedish meals. It's located in a great part of town surrounded by greenery and water.

Burger - decent but no "wow meal".

The definition of a three star rating! The food was normal - went down smoothly but nothing exceptional. The staff were friendly but nothing above what one can expect. The fries were on par with any place who can serve them without any extra effort and the dressing were most likely from these pre-made dressing cans that last for ages in room temperature. In short, you get what you pay for. But the environment is really nice thought - can recommend a walk in the area afterwards instead of dessert

They definitely exceeded my expectations with their 3-course set lunch menu for our large group. The dining room is beautiful, the food presentation and taste were wonderful and the service exceptional. It absolutely made me want to return on another occasion.

We had just arrived that afternoon and were walking around our hotel to look for an early dinner. The dining room is lovely but not too stuffy or formal. We ordered the brown bread for starters, along with some wine and beer. I ordered the Arctic char (parsnip, chili, hazelnuts, browned butter and a soy glaze) and Paul G. went with the meatballs (hand-rolled and with cream sauce, mashed potatoes, lingonberries and pickled cucumber). We had the traditional Swedish meatball dish a few more times during the trip and they all came with the same components, but Bistro Bestick's was my fave. The sauce was heavier, velvety and creamy, and the potatoes were oh so fluffy. The berries were tart and fresh. I loved my fish, too... the hazelnuts, brown butter and soy were such a bright, unexpected combination. I enjoyed every bite. Don't sleep on dessert here! I couldn't even finish my dinner but still wanted to try the chocolate rum cake (salty caramel sauce, roasted peanuts, vanilla ice cream and crispy sesame) and what a delightful flavor explosion! It was beautifully presented and the sesame "cracker" on top was the perfect contrast to all the sweetness. I'd highly recommend BB!

We were hungry and just wanted a decent dinner prior to going out that night. Dining here was one of the best decisions during our time in Stockholm. The meatballs were absolutely amazing and one of the most memorable meals of my life. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive. We came here tired and left satisfied and ready to explore Stockholm nightlife. If you're in Stockholm, visit this restaurant and try the Swedish meatballs.

Everything you'd need for the perfect meal out! They do not accept reservations and we went on a Sunday evening around 8:30 pm. We waited about 30 minutes, but boy was it worth it! We were seated at a cute little corner table that had pads on the benches, right next to a window to see the street. Lighting was dim and cozy. Service was the best I've had in recent memory. Our waitress was peppy despite having to deal with a long line and probably a long day. She was friendly, attentive, and so cheerful! 100/10. We started with the reindeer salad since my bf had never had reindeer before. While the reindeer seemed less cooked than expected, by the end he really liked the mix of flavors and thought it paired well with the salad. We both got the Swedish meatballs for our entrees and loved them! We both loved the pickled cucumbers and lingonberries. The lingonberries pair so well with the meat! While there are only 3 meatballs, they were so huge neither of us could finish all of them. Especially because I wanted to save room for dessert: the sponge cake! While it didn't look like much on presentation, it was surprisingly moist and the cream and berries were absolutely delicious. My bf said he was only going to have one bite (he's not a big dessert guy) but instead ended up eating half! Highly recommend! Overall would come back again just for the vibes, service, dessert, and to probably try another entree, which I'm sure would be good as well! If you don't know where to eat and want a memorable night out, come here!!

I went with 10%. Total cost out the door for 2 delicious and filling meals was just under $40. That is $20 each for you non math people:) We will return. I am still on the hunt for that fish soup. The menu is posted outside. Those are your choices for the day which includes a vegetarian choice. Staff is very welcoming and speaks English. I HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS.

Pelikan is one of the few good restaurants in Stockholm that still serve traditional home-style Swedish food, so I come here more than once almost every time I visit my family. So, since my first visit to Sweden in 1985 I've actually eaten here alone or with my family around seven times. Among the favorite dishes here are the: Herring Plate (4 types), Toast Skagen (Tiny Sweet Shrimp with Mayonnaise on Toast), Thick Fried 'Salted' Bacon in Onion Sauce, The Duck, Every piece of Fish here is good. Other favorites are the Saddle of Reindeer with Lingonberries, Pork Knuckle with Potato Dumplings, and of course their Kottbullar (Swedish Meatballs) with Lingonberries. This is a great place.

Unfortunately, for most of the meal, the food itself didn't fully live up to the reputation. We ordered a pretty broad range of dishes. The herring was a bit of a miss for us and felt messy rather than memorable. The girls had the meatballs and a mushroom dumpling dish, but neither one really enjoyed their meal. Both dishes leaned very salty, to the point where it took away from the overall experience. I ordered the venison, which was fine, but not particularly special. It was one of those dishes that was technically okay, but didn't make me want to keep eating. I honestly didn't finish it. Mia ordered the cod, which looked good, but again, it didn't feel like anything spectacular or especially memorable. What completely changed the tone of the experience was the service. Toward the end of the meal, our server noticed that I hadn't eaten much. Without making a big deal out of it and without me asking for anything, he brought over a steak with potatoes and fries. That dish was excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. More importantly, the gesture itself was incredibly thoughtful. That kind of hospitality is rare. He didn't have to do it. I wasn't complaining, and I wasn't expecting anything. I was prepared to leave the meal as-is. But the fact that he noticed and cared enough to make the experience better says a lot about the service and the professionalism of the staff. So while the original food we ordered was hit-or-miss, the service elevated the evening in a major way. The meal itself may not have been excellent across the board, but the hospitality was. For me, this ends up being a four-star experience: not because every dish landed, but because the staff turned what could have been a disappointing dinner into something memorable.
