We went in for an Appetizer and shared a Plate of Calamari with Homemade Marinara Sauce and it was The BEST we've ever had. Made perfectly fried and tender not chewy. We also shared a Large grilled chicken with Broccoli Rabe with oil and garlic it was HUGE. That an 2 Kold One's beer, needless to say we were Full. We also shared "Left the gun, but grabbed the cannoli" to take home for dessert. It was SO good that I forgot to take pictures. Anywhere is a good spot; most have an outside view. The decor is tasteful and inviting. An excellent venue for a date night, family event, or just a dinner in a beautiful restaurant with the one you love, or maybe impress. ; ) The menu has something for everyone. There are also daily specials. Your selection will come from the kitchen the way you'd expect. Done perfectly and at the right temperature. You're not rushed. Service is impeccable; from linen napkins and silverware, to a waitstaff that knows there is more to a dinner service, than shoving a plate in front of you and then disappearing the rest of the time. We sat outside at Villa Nigrelli and had a great meal. Our waiter, Andrew did an awesome job of making sure we enjoyed our stay and all of our needs were met. The food tasted amazing. They always have a delicious special menu. I ordered the seafood risotto, which was outstanding. My wife went with her go-to, the penne alla Vodka. Had high hopes for Villa Nigrelli as muh parents went a few months ago. Realistically it is a 3.5. Made reservations for a Sunday night and glad I did because it was crowded. Calamari was great. Chicken marsala was a bit too thick for my liking. Penne vodka was solid and reheats well. Would I come back? Yes. But I would rate this a bit lower than Aroma, Stephanos or Ginos which to me are sort of the high water mark for Italian food in Dutchess County. read more

But this restaurant has been doing well, which is why I went there. So, spend some of your earnings and hire a firm to install panels to absorb the sound, without taking away from the aesthetics. The food was incredibly tasty. I had shrimp Parmesan and I ordered it without the shrimp fried and they were happy to accommodate. The ambience and service was good also. It's a nice little spot right off of the Taconic... I just hope people are paying attention when driving on the taconic... Lol. Went here to celebrate my birthday. Big shout out to my in-laws for taking us out here. The fried calamari is always on the table for appetizers, if you know what I mean! No pics mean I forgot and started eating them . Clams oreganata was very tasty, seasoned right and could have easily been my dinner. But the highlight of the night for the birthday boy was.... The pork osso bucco. I mean just DAMN!! It was awesome, the tenderness of the meat, the umami of the sauce!!!! I call it the OMG osso bucco. I've had osso bucco before but never this good. Great lunch. As soon as we were seated they brought some bread to the table, with olive oil and butter. We asked to have the bread warm, and it was done immediately, what a treat. I had the veal Marsala, linguine with garlic and olive oil it was delicious, portions are not overly great, but for lunch it's perfect. My friend had the eggplant Parmesan which she devoured, came with big bowl of pasta. My other friend had the chickenPiccata, she found it a bit salty, I tasted it and thought it was fine. She had delicious broccoli in lieu of the pasta. Can't remember what our fourth companion had , but it looked delicious. For desert we share a yummy Lava cake. We came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate my birthday. It was packed! Luckily we had a reservation so were seated promptly. The tables inside are pretty close to each other and the noise echoes in the room so it was pretty loud. It's definitely not a place for a romantic date if you want quietness or intimacy, but it was fine for a family dinner. All the servers were very polite and I love that the entrees came with either soup or salad. Everything was very good and had a nice portion, we skipped the apps so we could have dessert and boy were we glad we did!! No pictures to show here because they came out singing happy birthday to me and the desserts were so good I didn't have time to get a picture in. My husband and I were lucky enough to get into this restaurant on Mother's Day and we were not disappointed! I had the soft shell crab française special which was so good that I came back today to get it again! The sides are just as good, the meat sauce is fabulous and the soups are obviously homemade. I think this is going to become our new go to restaurant as the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. Not a good experience at all.. the hostess was not nice and we did not feel welcome at all. We made reservations and we waited for about 20 minutes while everyone else was getting seated at their tables. Finally when my daughter said something in regard to our reservations they seated us in a poor area, I had to let them know that we didn't feel comfortable so they seated us elsewhere. We decided to go to our favorite spot, VILLA NEGRELLI, and as usual we were not disappointed. I had the grilled octopus, first off the first thing you notice is you don't get one leg of grilled octopus but you get TWO LEGS. This was an appetizer special. The photo only shows one leg but that's because I ate the first one already before I took a picture. Second, we had the PORK OSSO BUCO, so tender you did not need a knife, I ate the whole PORK OSSO BUCO with a fork. So full we couldn't eat dessert. Cudos to Zach for being a great waiter and patient and to Robert for making some fantastic MANHATTANS. SO we've been busy lately with a number of health issues that has affected my time and my families. The place is a great local Italian place with tablecloths. Light spacious. Ricki comes right over with bread and water! No I Not in prison!! LOL Andrew my waiter comes over about to recite the specials, but I save him the time and order raviolis. No meat on Friday. But first a glass of Cabernet Lohr California. The salad is delicious. It was not not every colored folk friendly, walked in and all the guests are looking at us, I was a bit weirded out but nevertheless waited to be seated. No host at the front so we had to wait a few minutes, the young man asks us how many and I tell him 4, he proceeds to let me know it's reservation only and they don't have anything available. It doesn't say so anywhere on Yelp or google so I was confused. I've never been denied by a restaurant before, they usually let you know there will be a wait time and how long but he flat out said we have no tables and the empty ones I was looking at were reserved. On the advice of fellow Yelper, "Mon D.", I stopped in for lunch today, while on my way down to Westchester. Villa Nigrelli is an easy right onto the Carpenter Rd exit northbound on the Taconic Pkwy, followed by a very quick left into their parking lot. I could tell, based on how the restaurant looked on the outside that it was going to be a memorable experience, and it was. I chose to sit inside, although the outdoor seating area looked very inviting. My waiter, Joey, has been with the restaurant since opening day six years ago, and he was a wealth of knowledge, and very personable. Plus I grew up in Yonkers, and he lived there for a while, so we were simpatico. OK, OK. Enough with the chitchat. Bring on the food. Started with delicious ciabatta bread, served with both butter and Popeye's girlfriend (if you don"t know, google it, or answer given below). DELICIOUS. They had Peroni on tap, which was a big plus. So many tough choices for the entree, but I went with the old standby, chicken marsala. Comes with choice of pasta or broccoli with garlic and olive oyl (hint, hint). I opted for angel hair in the same dish as the chicken, shrooms, etc. You can also get the pasta separate w marsala or marinara sauce. The chicken was fork-tender and the sauce was excellent, very light, not overwhelming. Joey says they use bone broth as the base, and let it simmer for a long time. The decor is really excellent.
