Ok so it's been a while and I know we've gone through a pandemic that hit the area and the service industry. AND despite it all, I know every single business has gone through the wringer, but this one continues to deliver good food. I will still rate this place 5/5 with the journey we've been through together. The pizzas are huge slices and their pasta dishes are great. I love their dinner specials and recently I started ordering the steak salads as a starter instead. Their cheesesteaks are my favorite in the area with their homemade bread and abundance of filling and meat. They've recently had a face lift of their menu but still same good food. I take everyone who visits me to eat here and it's one of the few go to local spots. Service is always attentive and they have a wonderful bar and beer selection. They also do take out so give them 15-20 min to get your food made depending on how crazy it is. Honestly why go to next door to a chain when you can have fresh delicious tasting food? read more

I've visited all the Italian restaurants/pizzerias in a three county area. This one by far is the best! And they also have a full adult beverage menu with outstanding table service!! I don't know how all those great personalities fit into one building but this place has to be my all-time favorite place ever. And I've been to them all!!! read more

Even though we have lived in the area for quite a few years, we have never tried Villa Roma. Our visit was based solely on a positive review from a fellow Yelper Elite and we are very thankful we finally gave them a try! Living in an area filled with OIPs and their overly doughy/fluffy, often bland, crust, it was refreshing to bite into a slice of Villa Roma pizza and taste a very good Neapolitan crust pizza in Central PA! Being our first visit, we ordered takeout of a 16-inch meatball & tomato pizza. The toppings were ample and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect resulting in a very good pie! I like that Villa has multiple sizes of pizzas including 12, 14, 16 and 18inches. Another pleasant surprise was Villa's large selection of craft beer/beverages, which are available in 6 pack or build your own. The selection rivals' shops in larger metropolitan areas and contained varieties not regularly found in this area. Overall service was prompt and friendly. We were very pleased with our first take-out order from Villa and look forward to trying other menu items in the future! read more

We're staying at a local campground and had been on the road fora few hours. We were hungry. While my husband set up the campsite, I looked for a place that delivered and found Villa aroma. Boy am I glad I did. Excellent pizza, yummy fries, and I'd swear my Ranch dressing was homemade. All delivered piping hot in record time by a very nice delivery person. What a joke this place is such a hole in the wall literally construction going on with no permits or coverings to keep dry wall and dust off tables....bathrooms are atrocious dirty and nasty....help is loud and obnoxious and the owner is a violent jerk to his employees. I watched him lunge at one of the employees and smack him around. I feel bad for the employees. Food is awful it's simply heated up foods nothing home made obviously because my shells and cheese were still frozen. read more

People are rude. Takes forever to get pizza. Deliver the wrong pizza had to take pic and send it because they didnt believe me. Took another half hour to get correct pizza and took the wrong pie back. Hope they don't sell it to someone else because that's unsanitary. read more

I would give no stars if I could! Service was terrible! Took over an hour and a half to get my order after I called 3 times and asked if my food would be hot. It was ice cold! I'm not going here ever again. They used to be great but lately things have gotten ridiculous. The last few times I went, we got sick. I decided to give them one more try and get a grilled chicken salad, thinking how could I get sick off of that? Well, I didn't get sick but I did have a heart attack when they told me my salad would be $14 and change. Think about this folks...$14 for a salad. I asked why it was so high. Here's the breakdown: Salad:normal price $9. I asked for them to remove the green peppers and olives and add sweet peppers instead: 75 cents extra. I asked for fries on top: $2.50 for a DOZEN fries, literally got 12 fries. I counted them. Pay with a credit or debit card: $1 So with tax, $14.04 for a salad that could have completely fit into a cereal bowl with room to spare. Owner is notorious for not making things right when the customers complain. Other review sites, like google for example, give him the opportunity to respond and he either calls people posting complaints liars or says their reviews are fake. He even called a former employee lots of nasty names for posting some of the horrific things she saw in the kitchen. He is very unprofessional. I definitely won't be giving him any more of my money. Me and my Girlfriend decided to order out on Saturday August 27th at the Villa Roma in Lewistown PA. I decided to order the veal parmesan sub, she had gotten the stuffed shells, and we ordered the kids spaghetti for our 14 month old daughter. After my Girlfriend had ordered my sub a staff member then asked her what kind of dressing would you like for your salad. I was confused because i had not gotten a salad before with this "the only 1 time i had ever ordered it" so i thought to myself its possible the last employee forgot to mention it, so i said ranch. Once the food was at our house i searched through the bag and did not see my sub but i seen a veal parmesan MEAL. So what had happened was the staff member had thought we had ordered the meal instead of the Sub. I had eaten part of the salad but did not touch the meal. We decided to call down to get this mistake taken care of and get our order correct the way we ordered it. A staff member said "alright bring the meal down and well get this taken care of for you." Once my Girlfriend returned to the store they had asked where the whole meal was and she said " I only have the veal parmesan i do not have the salad it was eaten" so the employee said "alright well i cannot give you a full refund because the salad was eaten" They had then came to the conclusion that we can receive store credit on which they would figure out the balance and give us a call. So once we had the order correct we had began eating our meal again once it was at our house in which my Girlfriend's stuffed shells were not appetizing, the "stuffed part" was quite hard and i had to cut it with a fork before i could taste it like she had asked me too to see if it seemed normal in which it was not. She decided to discard of her meal as it was not appealing anymore and decided to go onto their Villa Roma facebook page and leave a review. I had read the review before she posted it and i knew that it was 100 % accurate. Later on that evening we had received feedback from the owner and this is what they had to say "Villa Roma: You said you order the veal parm sub and got a veal parm dinner instead but you then ordered the sub with a salad? I'm confused. You then called and said it was our mistake. Fine. Please understand that we Do not give cash refunds. We would have gladly given you credit but you brought back a partial order. We gave you the sub with a partial credit. But that's not enough. Losing a customer is one thing but when they make up phony attacks about the quality of our food or the professionalism of our employees well that's where we draw the line. Please do not return." That was the resonse we had received from the owner about our 1 star review of our interaction with them. The following day i had left a comment asking about the store credit because she had been banned from the store so i asked if they planned on keeping it or what, and the owner said we would not be receiving the refund anymore. After numerous attempts of asking him about the refund he began to get all defensive and aggresive with me so i decided to end it with these remarks " listen go back to work I'm not debating I left my review and been 100 % honest with it... I don't need to debate with you I think your getting a little to defensive and worked up over it.. if I decide to talk about your restaurant again to friends and family then I will simply tell them to not go there.. like I said before have a good day", Villa Roma responded with these remarks. Villa Roma: You're the one who comes to my page and leaves garbage on my wall. You go back to whatever it is you do and don't come back. So at that point i have been banned from the Villa Roma as well for asking about a refund and also leaving a review "the garbage he was referring to" on their Facebook page. It was then brought to my attention that the owner had copy and pasted a picture of a transgender male and posted it on his personal facebook account with the caption "This is Bobby Jurasz after we expose him" How professional is that for an owner to be making personal attacks at a paying customer who simply was treating his family to take out that evening who did not receive satisfactional service. We are all human and we make mistakes but for him to call us liars and to ban us for leaving a 1 star review under their review section on their website is just simply appalling. Even if we had the choice to go back to that store we would not decide to spend out money their and i warn whoever does decide to spend their money there that these are the potential interactions and aggresive behavior you may experience while you are there from the owner. After this was made public their were many MANY other former customers that had come forward and said they also have had interactions like this with the owner. read more

This place is over priced & has terrible service. Went there for lunch with family after church on Sunday. The waitress was awful... I'm not sure what was worse, her inability to deliver drinks (only ordering Water and Iced Teas) & salads for folks ordering meals, or the fact that the buffalo chicken stromboli came with ham instead of bacon and her response when asked was, "oh the bacon must not have been cooked the whole way, do you want another one?".... no thanks.
