    Chicken Parmigiana

The search goes on. Who has the best Chicken Parm and a Pescatore in white wine garlic sauce over linguine? Not here unfortunately. No flavor to the sauce. Very bland. Shrimp not fresh. Calamari under cooked. Clams slimy. Mussels still closed. I thought a Friday night would bring out the best. But no. Service was adequate and attentive. Ambiance slightly sub par. Don't get me wrong. It wasn't too bad just not the caliber I'm looking for. May give them another chance with the Marina dish; lobster! The search goes on.

This place is such a gem! Although it is not located in the best place (off a busy highway, next to a gas station, & with limited parking) it is worth checking out. They have everything you'd expect from an Italian pizzeria! They are known for their flamingo sauce which is amazing & a must try but their red sauce is also delicious. Veal flamingo is one of my favorite dishes they offer on the regular menu as well as penne rusticana! The pizzas do not disappoint neither do their wraps, salads, & paninis. The portions are always generous & all the dinners come with your choice of soup or salad. Your food is always served fresh & hot. The service is exceptional. You won't find better. It is family run & they truly treat their customers so well. We go here all the time to dine in, get take out, delivery, or celebrate milestones. They catered my 40th birthday & 3 years later people are still talking about the food! I love this place & supporting local business.

We went on a Saturday night with a few friends. It was super busy, but they were able to sit us pretty quick. There menu is pretty extensive, and they also had a menu that had some specials on it too. We ended up getting a large tomato pie and a chicken cheesesteak to split. The tomato pie was decent. It could have had a little more flavor. I just felt something was lacking a little bit. Next time we would like to try just a plain pie to compare. The chicken cheesesteak was really good. Good amount of chicken and cheese. The roll was fresh and held up well with the amount of ketchup we like to put on our sandwiches....lol. Our friends daughter got the children's meatballs and pasta. They said the meatball was good (it looked like a good sized meatball) but they said the pasta sauce tasted like it came from a jar....which it might have since it was for the kids menu...but everything else was very good. Was looking at the food coming out for the other guests..and everything looked so good. Also would like to try a pizza with their famous flamingo sauce.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick and cheap bite before heading to a local brewery. Found this place on yelp and saw all the great reviews so we decided to eat here. We came at an odd hour between lunch and dinner. It was very chill and we were able to choose where to sit. Our server greeted us right away and answered any questions we had. We got the calamari, Margherita pizza, and a side of fries. We though was going to be just enough food to feed us but it ended up being too much haha. The marinara sauce of the pizza was super flavorful with so many spices I wish I could take a jar of it home. Both calamari and fries were hot out the fryer. So much delicious food for a cheap price. Will definitely be returning.

Pasta with Vodka Sauce (Penne) very good. Most of the sauce is underneath.

Have been ordering Villa Rosa consistently now during the pandemic and I must say things have changed. The customer service has definitely improved and the food more specifically the pizza has been top notch each and every time. That's when I came across Fratelli's Restaurant, and it turned out to be one of the best dining decisions I've made in a long time. From the very first phone call to arrange a reservation for a large group, the staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. Right away, I had a feeling I had made the right choice. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed by the level of service. The staff had prepared a beautiful table for our group, and from start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. I'm disappointed that I can't remember all of the servers' names because they truly did an outstanding job. Every one of my guests commented on how delicious the food was. My chicken dish was outstanding--easily one of the best meals I've had in quite some time. The quality of the food, combined with the exceptional service, made for an unforgettable evening. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they did to make our experience so enjoyable. I hope this message reaches the chefs and everyone working behind the scenes because they are incredibly talented and should be proud of the work they do. I'm not sure when I'll be back in the area for another tournament, but one thing is certain: anytime I am nearby, I will absolutely be making a reservation at Fratelli's. A huge thank you to everyone for providing such an amazing dining experience. If you're looking for a great restaurant, Fratelli's is a must-visit. You will not be disappointed.

The entrance when you first walk in is a little uninviting. They had a partition screen blocking the view of supplies. It is where you wait when speaking to the hostess. The outside of the building does not do it justice. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. All of the servers and staff were friendly and professional. Service was quick. I had the eggplant parm. It came with spaghetti which was ok. I usually substitute veggies or another type of pasta. I just didn't ask for some reason so not sure if they offer that. I really liked the eggplant. It was breaded but still crispy with the cheese and sauce. Their sauce is chunky and a little sweet. It was a really nice portion and took 1/2 home. I tried some of the pasta Al forno with sausage, meatballs, penne, etc. Delicious! I definitely recommend that dish even after just a few bites. The entrees come with soup or salad. The salad veggies were fresh and it was a good size. I tried the pasta fagiole soup but wasn't a big fan. It was underwhelming - lack of seasonings and it could have been hotter in temperature. One thing I thought was odd was our server never asked us if we wanted to order anything to drink. Gave us a pitcher of water and that was it. I know we could've asked if we really wanted soda or tea but just thought it was odd to go right into the food order. Overall I would go back. I think a reservation is good suggestion for the weekend. And they have a gluten free menu if you need it!!!

I first tried some take out from them when my husband and I just moved into the area, & I was trying to get a feel for the good food spots. What I got was ehhhhh not memorable. It confused both of us that it seemed like a nice building, but the parking lot was never full- even on the weekends. A girlfriend of mine was visiting this evening, and we originally wanted to venture to Curtains Wharf for an outdoor on the water experience. An hour and a half wait, no thank you, and I said hey, let's go to Il Portico-been meaning to. Inside is very dated. It's got the vibes of a 1950's Italian cigar lounge. Again not busy, maybe 5 or 6 tables the whole twoish hours we were there. However, the staff seemed to really be trying to accommodate you, everyone was polite and helpful. A cocktail list and wine by glass list would really go far. We got some bread for the table, some of it was kind of rock hard & looked day old, but some of what looked like focaccia bread was good. We got excited for carpaccio on the apps side, but were disappointed to find it wasn't beef, but salmon (?) in an Italian restaurant? Odd. And we also saw a lot of Tuna options for entrees, again, odd. I did want steak originally, but NY strip isn't my fave, and I opted for Veal Medallions- very good. Sauce was delicious, veggies cooked just fine. $12 for an Arugula starter salad with legit, one tomato wedge was again ... odd. My friend had the beet salad and Branzino special, said they were both good. Only off thing was her Old Fashioned had the coloration of a Shirley Temple, but the flavor was on par and good.
