This was our first time at Villa Rosa after having read numerous positive reviews, and everyone was right! We had mozzarella sticks, the chicken flamingo, and a personal calzone. While I don't know that the flamingo quite lived up to the tremendous online hype, it was very tasty! I personally felt it could do without the egg wash. The pasta tasted fresh and the sauce had a nice depth to it. The side salad was a great addition - especially if you like black olives! We brought a few boxes home because the portions were huge. I won't be back. Used to be my favorite restaurant when I lived in the area. When I'm in the area I try and stop in. It has been several times now and the service and food quality keep going down. I figured one time oh someone had a bad day including maybe me to not like. I tried several more times. The last time it took us 45 mins for our food. 3 of the dishes must have been sitting they were not even warm. The food prices are outrageous for a strip mall pizza place. Sorry you lost a longtime customer with the bill up charges. My sons girlfriend ordered manicotti Alfredo they charged more for the sauce; however, that was how it was listed on the menu. They buckled and fined every meal with an up charge. Twice we had to have check corrected. 2 hour meal and over a 100$ meal. read more

I've ordered food from here for years. Recently I've had to return two dinners. One had plastic in it and the other was burned bad. No big deal. Things happen and I get it. I used to own a restaurant and I understand that. Both times when I very politely asked for a replacement the manger talked down to me, argued that I was wrong and was very very rude. Villa Rosa did a wonderful job on my birthday party for about 30 people! We had eaten there many times before and knew their food was great. Each guest could pick within a list of 3 entrees that we had pre-chosen. (We picked chicken parm, veal with spinach, and pasta primavera.) They were all delicious and came with pasta, salad and warm rolls. The service was A+, and the price was very reasonable. We saved even more by brining our own beer and wine, and birthday cake. What a great surprise I found today in this little Italian restaurant. The casual, bare walls and ripped booth seats had me a bit skeptical, but a bunch of people told me to try it. I'm glad I did. The food is very good, and hot and fresh. The dinners are served with a nice ice cold salad. The baked ziti was hot and cheesey and yummy. I had an order of garlic bread to sop up the fantastic sauce. The tortellini in Alfredo was well done as well as the pizza and strombolis. My family and I have been going here since I was very young , maybe 6 years old before they switched owners. I always remember them having the best pizza. After they switcheed owners the quality of the pizza went south and i no longer come here for that. They have pretty tasty pasta dishes though. They never have the soup they list on their menu which is disappointing, even more so when you specifically order chicken noodle soup over the phone and they deliver a onion salad. They often run out of their menu items but I understand they get very busy. I give them three stars for old times sake, plus my daughter loves their lasagna. read more

It's been almost 8 years since I've had Villa Rosa's wonderful food. I only eat 1 item from here and that is the Baked Pizza Turnover (though the Chopped Antipasto salad ALWAYS looked like a winner). I never had it in me to try something different because when you taste perfection then that's all you want. In my journeys I have moved to Philadelphia and then back home to Houston, TX. There is nothing here like those Baked Pizza Turnovers, so enjoy them! Can't wait to get back to Philly/S.Jerz and get myself some Villa Rosa! read more

This place is awesome, been coming here for years. I'm a hard-to-please regular at this place and they are amazingly consistent. Always a great meal AND great service, more like a fine restaurant than a casual Italian spot. Do yourself a favor and try it here, you will NOT be disappointed. First their menu is extensive. A little bit of everything, and ALL fantastic. Even the simplest of items, like bruschetta, they take to another level. They really put their all into it, they care about the food they put out for their customers. My father is diabetic, and they always allow us to replace the pasta with a vegetable side. They have many specials each night, and if you have a favorite (like me) they can probably make it for you even if it isn't on the menu that night. This is a family operation and the owners are in the kitchen and the dining area making sure all is good. The food comes fast, and it is DELICIOUS!!! Just like your Italian grandmother made (if you had one). Sometimes we eat there, most of the time we call then pick it up 15-20 minutes later. NEVER a mistake with any order, and always hot. Where else can you say that about? Even their pizza is in a league of its own. And prices are very reasonable for the quality of food AND the amount they give you. Hole in the wall, needs a remodel. However they have excellent Italian food to take home and enjoy. Their chopped antipasto minus the onions is delicious, doesn't even need dressing! Plus they have a great white pizza with broccoli and tomatoes. Their regular pies are great too. I usually grab a chopped antipasto every time I'm in town. It's right on 130 next to Dunkin donuts. Amato is not the only waiter anymore...he's now the owner, and he has a much bigger wait staff to accommodate the new, larger location (just next door to the old store front). The service is always friendly, but the best thing of all is the food. Everything is delicious. Seriously! The vodka sauce is amazing, the alfredo sauce is amazing, the chopped antipasto is great, specials always very good. Now it's not just my parents who are regulars here, my family comes here at least once a week. We have found that you can't beat the prices either (& they're BYOB). read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Foods served at improper temps. Bread stale (and I had to ask for it!) I ordered a chopped antipasto salad and asked if I could "upcharge" and forego the regular salad and was told ok. Bill had full charge. I also asked why there was a $0.70 CC surcharge. We have ordered from here several times. Each time they are very busy and take little interest in each customer. The last few times we ordered, our order was wrong and they forgot several items. We called and were met with an attitude EACH TIME. We were told (the first time) they would deliver our missing food. It never arrived. We tried again one last time on Father's Day. We received our food over an hour after the scheduled time and again they forgot some of our food that we paid for. We called and called but no one answered (it was only 5pm). It pains me to say this, but tonight I was highly unsatisfied with my meal. I had a simple chicken cesar wrap. When I received the meal it was absolutely DISGUSTING. The lettuce was wilted, the wrap was soggy, and the wrap was overall had way to much dressing. Basically, the whole meal ended up in the trash. read more

I will NEVER EVER eat at this poor, low budget, low quality restaurant again. I had a problem with the way my meal was prepared and when I spoke with the manager to possibly correct it. His reply was " what do you want me to do, I will lose money"? Who ever heard of such a reply from a manager in a customer service industry? This is definitely one of the best pizza places in the area--and their chicken saltimbocca is delicious!! Their white pizzas, spinach pizzas, and regular pizzas are all good, salads are fresh (they make one with roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella that's delicious!), etc. For those of us that like peppers and onions on our pizzas, be forewarned: the peppers and onions will be more fresh and crisp than they are on Papa John's or Dominos. Our waitress was the older woman with glasses. She never told us her name. Her service was amazing. She was very generous and calm towards my rowdy boys. My bf had to step out and make a run and she held our food for us, was very patient. And very accommodating. Kids loved the pasta. Chicken flamingo is always amazing! I stopped in after traveling to NJ for the holidays hopping for that great pizza polar restaurant experience when I lived in the area. It appeared that they had a busy lunch as four or five empty tables still had to be cleared of the baskets containing leftover fries and remains of meals. The sausage pizza came out in good time and not piping hot, but all in all it was rather mediocre. Seemed like the minimal amount of crumbled frozen sausage, cheese, and sauce was used with out any real seasoning to leave you wanting to taste more. The wait staff was not very attentive and we had to hunt around for clean silverware. We had to pay the chef behind the counter so there was no accounting as to why the empty tables with left over food that we saw coming in, had still not been cleared when we left over half an hour later. The lazy state of the dinning room matched the lazy cooking for the experience. With so many choices for good pizza in the area definitely pass on Villa Rosa for take out, and avoid the dinning room if they even have cleared any tables for new guests yet. read more
