I was recently at a soccer tournament in New Jersey and was looking for a local restaurant where I could take all of my coaches out for dinner. That's when I came across Fratelli's Restaurant, and it turned out to be one of the best dining decisions I've made in a long time. From the very first phone call to arrange a reservation for a large group, the staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. Right away, I had a feeling I had made the right choice. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed by the level of service. The staff had prepared a beautiful table for our group, and from start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. I'm disappointed that I can't remember all of the servers' names because they truly did an outstanding job. Every one of my guests commented on how delicious the food was. My chicken dish was outstanding--easily one of the best meals I've had in quite some time. The quality of the food, combined with the exceptional service, made for an unforgettable evening. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they did to make our experience so enjoyable. I hope this message reaches the chefs and everyone working behind the scenes because they are incredibly talented and should be proud of the work they do. I'm not sure when I'll be back in the area for another tournament, but one thing is certain: anytime I am nearby, I will absolutely be making a reservation at Fratelli's. I've driven past for years and never stopped by or knew anyone who tried it. They Sat our table of 4 immediately even though we didn't have reservations and they had a large private party in the back room. The entrance when you first walk in is a little uninviting. They had a partition screen blocking the view of supplies. It is where you wait when speaking to the hostess. The outside of the building does not do it justice. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. All of the servers and staff were friendly and professional. Service was quick. I had the eggplant parm. It came with spaghetti which was ok. I usually substitute veggies or another type of pasta. I just didn't ask for some reason so not sure if they offer that. I really liked the eggplant. It was breaded but still crispy with the cheese and sauce. Their sauce is chunky and a little sweet. It was a really nice portion and took 1/2 home. I tried some of the pasta Al forno with sausage, meatballs, penne, etc. Delicious! I definitely recommend that dish even after just a few bites. The entrees come with soup or salad. The salad veggies were fresh and it was a good size. I tried the pasta fagiole soup but wasn't a big fan. It was underwhelming - lack of seasonings and it could have been hotter in temperature. One thing I thought was odd was our server never asked us if we wanted to order anything to drink. Gave us a pitcher of water and that was it. I know we could've asked if we really wanted soda or tea but just thought it was odd to go right into the food order. Overall I would go back. I think a reservation is good suggestion for the weekend. And they have a gluten free menu if you need it!!! read more

Stopped in for an early dinner on a Sunday. This is my third or fourth time here, and the food is always good. In summer, I like a lighter dish, so have opted for grilled salmon on top of greens, but these heartier dishes hit the spot on a cold rainy day. Portions are large, so we skipped an appetizer. Entrées come with a choice of soup or salad, so we got soup. I got the special, which was Salmon Bisque. That was just so-so, and I wouldn't get it again. First of all, it was not a bisque, It was a soup. If anything, it was closer to a chowder. It was not thick at all, with a thin broth with corn in it. Definitely didn't come as imagined. But the pasta dishes were good, and plenty for another meal. We took home half the plate, and easily could have shared one dish and an appetizer. The Linguine alla Pescatore had lots of plump seafood in it. The mussels were excellent, as was everything else. Tender calamari, scallops perfectly cooked, and delicious shrimp. The Scallop Monte Carlo was also good, although the cappellini pasta was a little soft. This is definitely a good place for a hearty Italian meal. My husband and I went to Fratelli's for Valentine's Day. The atmosphere was perfect, from the white tablecloths and chair covers to the red flowers on each table. The whole service experience start to finish was amazing, even though it was so busy. The food was delicious- we both had chicken dishes which we brought half home for leftovers. (Also, the heart shaped rolls were a nice touch!) We also got dessert (tiramisu and limoncello cake) and so good! We will surely be back. read more

We started with crab filled mushrooms that were full of sweet crab meat (no filler). We then had a generous salad with lots of fresh vegetables and romaine topped with a zesty Italian dressing. I had selected the baked salmon which was fresh and delicious and was complemented with nicely seasoned roasted vegetables and al dente pasta with a very creamy vodka Italian sauce. The tira misu was good also. The wait staff was very thoughtful and attentive. This place is an Italian gem The dining room is very nice with white table cloths. I enjoyed my meal at Fratelli's. I got the Salmon Putanesca and it was pretty tasty. The bread and butter before the meal was really good as well and came warm with butter. I was part of a big party and the service was excellent throughout our meal. I haven't been there in years but I would definitely go back again if I'm in Burlington. read more

We went on a Sunday afternoon on a friends recommendation. It's a BYOB, so that'll always a good start. We got there and immediately got a table for two. The wait staff opened our wine and provided an ice bucket four us as well. We ordered the clams and a pappardelle with shrimp appetizer. The clams were nicely presented and flavorful. Sadly, they also had sand in them. The shrimp with pappardelle was good. We also had a very nice Bruschetta. Toasting the bread would have been nice, but is was good anyway. For the main course we got Filet mignon braciola. No issues here either. Meat was super tender and the sauce was tasty as well. Desert was tiramisu, chocolate cake and espresso. Tiramisu was made the real way with lady fingers. Very good. Chocolate cake was moist and tasty. Wait staff was very attentive. Price was reasonable and food was good too. Stop by and see them. We love going here. Food is always amazing and they always make room for us as we rarely make reservations. Owner always circulates and checks on all the tables to ensure everything is up to par. All of the wait staff is super friendly and they all seem to work together well helping all the tables as needed. The deserts are well presented And delicious. Save room! The only suggestion we would have is the bread and butter. Pats of butter as single serve in the package is just not what one would expect in a place like this. Some nice oil and seasoning or better presented serving of butter is a much better choice. But that is the only suggestion. They are excellent and we go often and are never disappointed. read more

I has the Ravioli Pavarotti and it was just wonderful. The bourbon pink sauce was so good I had to stop up any leftover with bread, which was also good. We had reservations for eight at 5:00 pm on a Saturday night. We received great service and food! Our table was in the front of the restaurant but was still cozy and comfortable for dinner conversation. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating to our personal needs. All entrees come with a choice of salad or bowl of soup. Both the soup and salad were hearty and tasty. The entrees included fish, chicken and a shrimp dish. I had the polo Fratelli, chicken breast sautéed with tomatoes, spinach and roasted peppers. My husband had a similar entree but with shrimp. Both dishes were light and very tasty. Our friends also enjoyed their entrées. Everything was very reasonably priced and portions were generous. Also, this restaurant is a BYOB. Great place for a comforting Italian meal! Fratelli's Italian Restaurant is a fantastic, casual restaurant in Burlington, New Jersey. While the atmosphere and setting of this restaurant is casual, the food, however, is pretty stellar. It is also relatively well priced. The service was also great. Our server was engaging, professional, friendly and genuinely enhanced our overall dining experience. My go-to item in most Italian restaurants is veal parmigiana and I enjoyed the veal parmigiana here. It was very good and I would definitely recommend this dish. Fratelli's Italian Restaurant is a wonderful restaurant and definitely worthy of a visit. My friends and I were looking for a place nearby to eat because we were absolutely famished. We settled on this place because it was close and had decent reviews. When we got in, the place was empty (granted it was around 3pm when we came in) but they apparently were setting up the restaurant for a fundraiser so there were big dividers set up so that the big main area of the restaurant would be reserved for the private event. We should've left, but we were so hungry we ended up deciding to dine in here. We were placed on the other side of the divider, at a table that was about 3 feet away from another table where a family was eating. We wouldn't have preferred to sit so close in a small confined divided off area with another group, but I guess in this situation it was understandable. We ordered calamari as the appetizer- it was good. I ordered stuff shells for my lunch. As we were eating our food, we heard a guy on a microphone on the other side of the divider speaking and doing fundraising stuff and it was just a very unpleasant experience to eat while you hear a guy on a mic on the other side fundraising. I was able to get over the fact that the family sitting next to us could hear our conversation and vice verse, but it was difficult for me to deal with the mic and whole event going on on the other side of the divider. I wish the restaurant said they were closed for dining in for the private event, that way this awkward experience could have been avoided. The waitress was nice and the food was good, though. Food was excellent. I had cheese ravioli in a brandy like Rosa cream sauce topped with mozzarella and spinach through out. Loved it. My husband got the veal parmesan with angel hair. But we started out with this AMAZING appetizer, called BBQ Bourbon charbroiled bacon wrapped shrimp. You have to try it to believe how great it is... everything I put in my mouth including coffee and dessert were really good. Small place but excellent chef. I had a surprise party here on Sunday, Nov 27. I found this place here on yelp because of the reviews that were posted and I tell you it's all true. We had a private room for 24 people. The atmosphere was great. We had a per person menu option and they offered other foods. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. First I started with 15 people and it increased to the 24. They surprised us with a personalized menu that says Happy Birthday Javier. I chose this place because we were all coming from different locations. I came from Delaware and others came from NY, NJ & Pennsylvania. It was the middle for all of us to get together. Fratelli's has quickly become one of my favorite spots to dine in south jersey and one of my favorite Italian restaurants. It's relatively casual, but also a nice spot for a date night. The service is always top notch, fast, and friendly. Complimentary bread is brought out fresh and hot to start off. Most of the meals come with soup or salad. I've tried the calamari, mozzarella sticks, and tomato mozzarella, they've all been very good. This is one of those places where I'm comfortable trying a different dish every time and yet to be disappointed. The cappuccinos are delicious, and limoncello cake is my absolute favorite, though the other desserts I've tried are also tasty. Fratellis has pizza and delivery options, but also has a couple private rooms available for parties. For the quality and portions, the prices are really very reasonable and well worth it. I highly recommend Fratelli's whether for a nice dinner out, an event, or just a break from cooking and a yummy dinner to go. read more

Best kept secret in Burlington! This place has very good food and decent portion sizes. The service is a little slow, but the staff is very friendly. Out of our table of 10, EVERYBODY enjoyed their meals, which you know is very hard to do. They always add extra flair with decorating their dessert plates. Everything tastes very fresh. It's BYOB, so be sure to take advantage of that. The interior is a little nicer than the run-of-the-mill Italian place, but still has that old style feel.
