Ordered 12 inch pie with pepperoni cups and we'll done with garlic knots from door dash. I got a regular cook, standard pepperoni. I even paid extra for the special pepperoni according to the menu. The garlic knots may have been undercooked but everything was edible. Side note door dash just left it at my door rather than ringing the doorbell as per the instructions I have on the app. I'll say 2 stars casie it was edible. read more

We have been ordering from this place for 2 years now and everything has been on point and delicious, till today when my chicken parm tasted terrible, it was dry, sauce was not the same sauce used in the past, I believe it's a new cook or something has changed but I am willing to give it one more chance before completely bailing on this place if it doesn't change back. UPDATE: I will never order from this place again. I placed an order and was told 25mins, I got there in 30mins and waiting around 25mins before almost walking out, if the food was good, it wouldn't be a big deal but making someone wait an hour for terrible food is insane. This was a first visit to Ponticelli's, and on walking in first impressions were positive. Small dining room a little worn around the edges, but a bucket of charm at the bottom of Haines Road, Levittown, PA. We were taken by the friendly service provided by one of the family of owners/operators, and decided to try their dinners rather than settle for their neon signed pizzas. That turned out to be our mistake. It began auspiciously with a wonderful bowl of cream of potato soup. It was the final drop, but smooth, chunky, perfectly spiced and as good as grandma used to make. It came along with oven heated buttered Italian roll, and decent side salad with balsamic dressing. Then came the entrees, chicken francaise and veal saltimbuca, both over fettuccine. They looked beautiful in their oval platters - nicely pan grilled with white wine lemon reduction glistening and the veal wrapped in prosciutto and sauteed spinach. The skill in the kitchen was obvious and I began to salivate at what we were about to consume. Unfortunately, the kitchen had a very heavy hand with the salt, and our excitement turned to disappointment as the first bite landed on the tongue and recoiled at the harsh taste of excess sodium chloride. For the first time in many years we returned the plates to the kitchen hoping it could fix the problem. The same food returned to us minutes later. The pasta had been washed to remove the saline sauce from the noodles. That helped. However, the chicken and veal had not been repaired, and were as inedibly salty as before. We tried a few bites and just couldn't do it. We advised our hostess and she removed the dishes for a second time. When she returned we agreed what we would pay for and what should be removed from the bill. It was fair and I went to the cashier to pay. I was saddened when the elder gentleman behind the counter attempted to blame us for the problem rather than simple accept the house mistake. Yet, I understood his instinct to defend his people. No point in arguing. I reminded him that we had not raised our voices and stood before him honorably. These things happen. Best just to move on with apologies and reasonable resolution. Strangely, I still liked the place and the family making it run. We might return for the highly regarded pizza, but anything with a sauce in a pan would remain off limits. read more

Food is good..but service and friendliness is not 5 star. Husband and twin brother each ordered the same thing . They only got one when it was done being cooked. Then the person behind the counter argued with my husband instead of apologizing and making another one. The restaurant is close to our home, but we will not be going back again. It's one thing to make a mistake, but it's another when a business argues with the customer. read more

I love going to Ponticelli's. Even if the boys and I just pop in for a slice and some fries. Maybe I got there too much, but they always say hey Ryan when I go in. I haven't had bad experience yet, and I usually am offered a free 2 liter on the way out, but when we order it typically tops $70. But only cuz we over order. Gotta get them cannolis!! He makes them two ways a soft one and the traditional. Do yourself a favor and go on in, have some dinner, and watch some Jeopardy. read more

This review is only based on their Brooklyn Pie and fries. We ordered here because we read a previous review that the Brooklyn Pie was outstanding. The service on phone couldn't have been better. The guy who answered was extremely helpful and took pride in his job. We received the same level of service when we got to the counter to pay. I noticed several signs for rice balls that they offered and new I had to try one, so I added one to the order. We took the pizza, fries and rice ball home to enjoy. The rice ball was delicious and we would certainly get again. The pizza, in my opinion, was rather basic, almost like an Elio's Pie that you'd find in a food store. I don't know how the crust on the Brooklyn differs from a regular pizza but, we may have to come back to resample another time. The fries were just average and not something that I'd write home about. All in all, it wasn't a memorable pizza experience. We may try again, but probably not the Brooklyn Pie. read more

The Brooklyn pizza is amazing and their wraps are delicious!!! Make sure that you get the brooklyn without mozzarella cheese, and cooked well done. The crust is incredibly thin and crispy when you get it cooked like this, and it's so amazing, there is no need for cheese. Their Italian wedding and chicken noodle soups are incredible, and are homemade. I also love their paninis (with the best being the all veggie one, although the name escapes me now) Everything is fresh and made with top quality ingredients!! We eat here at least once a week! The staff is really nice too which makes the place even better! If you want a yummy quick and reasonably priced dinner, you can't go wrong. read more

Stopped by today to pick up hoagies to head to see the Flyers. All of us loved them. Dad got the roast beef. We stopped here on our way to the hotel for our family vacation to Sesame Place. This place feels like a really small, family pizza place. I had the Hawaiian pizza. The crust was not great and the pineapple was canned, but it was okay. My husband had the ultimate Philly cheesesteak. He really enjoyed it. It had steak, pepperoni, peppers, mushrooms and onions. Have been a customer literally since this place opened. My family has always enjoyed the food. Tonight for the first time we ordered chicken cheesesteaks (one of our regulars) and the meat was like rawhide. I called and asked for a refund and was told to bring back the sandwiches. When I arrived the owners wife was waiting at the counter ready for battle. She opened the sandwiches and said we can't serve chicken raw to which I responded I can't eat rawhide. She told me not to call there anymore to order chicken sandwiches. This is the first time in 15 years I had a complaint and this is how it was handled? It's so sad after 15 years $6 meant more to this establishment than making stupid chicken sandwiches right. Sorry Anthony, I know if you were there this would have been handled differently.
