For me though, as someone whose Mom came from Trinidad, this place is my "go to" for Trinidadian foods. I like coming here whenever I need to stock up on dried sorrel which I use to make a Trinidadian drink called Sorrel. They also sell Sorrel syrup and ready made bottled Sorrel for those who prefer an instant beverage. I've found from past experience though that Sorrel always tastes better when it's homemade. I was excited to see Peardrax and Sea Moss on the shelves. (More Caribbean beverages that I drank when I was in Trinidad) They also have Chadon Beni (a popular condiment in Trinidad), frozen roti wraps, Callaloo, Scotch Bonnet peppers, salted cod fish (something my mom has a taste for), and bottles of Limacol. (Used in the Caribbean as a skin refresher). There are a ton of other offerings in their store but those ones are the most familiar to me. They smelled so good when I walked in. They also tasted very delicious. The crust was nice and flaky. They were fresh made on the day along with the bread. The woman who works there was super friendly. She gave me a tour of the store. They have salted fish along with other seafood that you can't get elsewhere in their freezer. There are lots of free parking in front of the store. I highly recommend to come visit if you are in the area.

Since it is part of the food court, you order your food at the counter and then find a table to sit at. They will usually bring out the food to you when it is ready. I was the only, yes the only person in the place. I waited a few minutes for the lady who told me to go ahead in to finally drag in off the smoke break to get a menu. I identified as a first timer, to which the heavily perfumed, probably, part/owner, waitress replied, "I know, if you weren't, I'd know you". I thought this was odd, but figured it was a strong locals haunt. Not tonight. The only other folks that graced the place while I was there were a loud, rough looking couple that looked more like they fit below a highway overpass than in a restaurant. The woman was looking for work, anything, janitorial, anything. I asked for the lady's recommendation. The Roast Lamb it was. A bowl of soup was good. The roast lamb was tender and tasty enough, but it wasn't very spicy. The rice was pretty good, the salad was weak. I had a couple glasses of house wine. All together, $42. I would not return and would not recommend this place. I should have read the lone Yelp review (not that I would have heeded the warning).

It's not that great and I've only seen 2-4 people eat in there at a time. I'm not sure how they're surviving but they are. I find their portions are too small for what you pay. I blame this on Stephos haha. Sometimes I find UFOs in my cup of water so I don't even drink anything when I go in there. Everything that goes down is hot food or from a pop can. I don't plan to eat here ever again. If I do then it would be because we have a company function here. The lady who serves us is an interesting character. I love her because she's very friendly and LOUD and she'd be the other reason why I'd return because she's entertaining to watch and listen to. If they worked on their food I'm sure they would be more busy. They're lucky they're surrounded by businesses because I think that's what is keeping them going. People will stop by here for some quick lunch or dinner.
