The bagel sandwich was delicious! Would be nice to have a menu to know what comes on the different sandwiches. I built my own and had egg, chipotle gouda (yum!), kale, cucumber, onion and avocado. I didn't bother to ask how much to add ingredients, but I was shocked when my bagel sandwich totaled over $11. Although I didn't order a drink, I was happy to see they have a bar. But, again, drinks seemed overpriced ($8 Mimosa, $10 Bloody), especially given the casual NY deli-style atmosphere. The real reason for only 3 stars was not based on the food, because the food and quality of ingredients was superb. But, as I was eating, I watched the lady at the counter (who seemed to be a manager or owner), pick her teeth and then continue to polish and put away glasses. This is a very good bagel place. Coming from Denver we have to drive 20 minutes to get bagels this good back home. I loved having the tofu cream cheese option being dairy free. The best part of it all, amidst our current state of the world, what I can only imagine was the owner, was giving out masks to people entering the store without one. Bravo! I'm reposting this because the owner paid to take my last review down. This past summer, Village bagels had a booth set up in vail where they were advertising their bagels. When a group of adults went over to ask for samples, the owner became extremely defensive and started raising her voice how she wouldn't give bagels away for free(maybe she was having a bad day). So a few people bought bagels, which were pretty expensive and nothing better than the average Dunkin' Donuts. They were too chewy and salty. She was disrespectful and I would recommend giving business elsewhere. Not a local business owner for the people. read more

I wish I could give 3.5 stars because I think it deserves more than 3 but just short of 4! Great service, good atmosphere, absolutely delicious bagels. Being from the north east, I missed good bagels and I'm so stoked that this place opened. BUT, I ordered a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and there were only two small slices of bacon on it. So many bfast places skimp on bacon. I know bacon is expensive but if I order a bacon egg and cheese I want to taste some bacon in every bite! Listen, the bagel was amazing, the chipotle Gouda was delicious, the eggs were cooked perfectly, but the lack of bacon just ruined the sandwich for me. I'd gladly pay an extra buck for an adequate amount of bacon on my sandwich! read more

Great bagel, good crunch, was warm too! Very confusing menu. prices were stated as: 2/11/18 No $$ signs...and the 11/18 were smudged so could not read them. No $ signs. No decimal points. Had no idea how much a bagel was. Suggestion: 1 Bagel = $2.00 12 Bagels = $11.00 etc. Looks like they are working out the kinks, I will be back. read more

We have visited this place three days in a row now. We have kept coming back because the bagels are very good, don't get me wrong. Every time though it was difficult to order and the cashier or bagel makers messed something up with or order. Each time they either left us with no cream cheese on a bagel we ordered or with one less bagel than we ordered. Bad service. read more

Can get pretty busy in the AM which will delay you if you think you're in and out in 5 minutes. Tip to team: try to work out the bottleneck from grill to front. Great place, bagels & coffee are good and staff is always friendly. I have been in there multiple times now and wish the staff would wear gloves while handling the food. Often see the owner( i think) and other staff handling money and then food without ever putting gloves on, I was hoping that this was because they were new but last time I was in there I actually left and threw my bagel out. Also the silverware on the table is in dusty beans, which is not sanitary at all! read more

We visited this shop because of a recommendation from friends. What we experienced was most disappointing. My wife ordered a pumpernickel/everything bagel, plain and untoasted. I ordered an everything bagel with the NYC upgrade for smoked salmon, cream cheese and the usual extras that come with it. We began eating at an outside table. The contents of my order were fine and tasty. Both bagels, however, were tough as nails, and dry. My wife's bagel was also thin, and smaller than expected. When I saw that I brought it into the store and showed it to the manager. I knocked it against the metal counter and said this bagel seems more like a hockey puck than a bagel. It seemed over cooked. She showed it to the baker. Both went to the bin and offered another bagel. It was just as hard. So were other bagel choices. They gave some vague explanation that the bagels were made about 4 hours ago (Just like they are in all bagel stores that do their baking before customers arrive). Eventually, they simply credited my card and we left. Very disappointing because not only did they know the bagels were overcooked, but they continued selling them knowing that they were a bad batch. Let the buyer beware. read more
