I love it here!!! Very easy to book! I absolutely love the receptionists. I've had to come almost 10 times within the last month due to kids/hubby/my own appt. Every time they have been very welcoming and informative. My appt was first so they let me take paperwork home to finish for my kids so I didn't have to worry about it when I walked in with all of them! I'm really bad with names but each time I've had different dentists/hygienists and they all have been kind. Coming here I didn't realize how boo boo my old dentist equipment and technique was. Dr Fargo broke a drill in my tooth and it's not easy to come out. I bet he sleeps good at noon get but I have to go to pamona to a school to get it removed. I may have to leave it and I don't think that it is cool that Dr Fargo gets off easy. read more

Had a great experience here. Made an emergency appt since i was having tooth pain for several days and was becoming worse. Maggie, Dr. Jones and Dr. Espino were wonderful. They took x-rays and discovered a cavity that was causing the pain, filled it the same day and did a cleaning. They were super gentle and took care of the problem quickly. Great place! Friendly and very efficient. Francisco and the dentist were great too! My daughter had to had a chip repaired and three fillings. All went smooth and it was all able to be done. This review was old but I forgot to post it!!! My daughter went back yesterday and same great experience! They really helped out extra as she had no insurance. She is really pleased too. Great place! I did not like their financial mentality or their abuse for the insurance benefits I have. The first visit they told me it was free, they billed my insurance 180 dollars for 5 minute visit. X rays and plan to fix mu teeth. the dentist is all about getting money. He kept inventing things about my teeth just to reach the maximum of 2000 dollars to charge my insurance. And He wanted to charge me copay of about 700 dollars. After 4 months they called me to say i was approved for deep cleaning that I do nit need. I called them and told them i already took care of my tooth somewhere else. And to stop contacting my insurance and myself. Total making maximum money from patients mentality and to abuse your insurance limit. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

Worst experience ever at this place, dealt with some Peruvian dentist named David Medina. He was very rude demanding, condescending and customer service was totally inadequate all around. Felt as though I was doing them a favor by coming here! If you don't like your profession don't treat customers like this... Everything was ok, until a few months. One time they changed the Orthodontist appointment a week before because he wouldn't be available and we had to accept the next available appointment on the date we were told, we had to acomodate our time to their new appointment. The problem comes when in June they cancel again but this time we weren't able to accommodate their new appointment to our schedule when we go on July we are told that we failed to pay and skip the appointment. We told the receptionist that they were the ones who failed because we couldn't make it when they tried to reschedule and her answer was that we are under a contract and they gave us a month to accommodate the appointment to our schedule. We hadn't had any issue and we also accepted their new appointment without telling them, we are under contract and that is the Orthodontist problem. Very bad attitude from the receptionist and their busy schedule. We also have scheduled activities and the sudden changes affect them. read more

Don't take children here! The dental assistants and dentist are friendly enough, however the office doesn't have their act together when it comes to management. We took our 5yr old there 3 times, the first time they said he was too rowdy and referred us somewhere else which was fine, we understand 3yr olds don't do well with the dentist and he was a little uncertain about it so a specialist seemed like a great idea, second time we waited for an hour after his appointment time to be called back but once we got back there things went okay, third and most recent visit we waited for over an hour again, and I was very frustrated that after having his teeth x-rayed and cleaned, the office manager came in and said that if we wanted to have the dentist examine him we would have to pay out of pocket because the insurance wasn't upto date, this would have been reasonable and completely understandable if they had worked all that out when we signed in almost 2hrs earlier, I asked if we could make phone calls to work it out, to which she insisted there wasn't any way to do this because "insurance company's are closed at this time"(which was untrue), at this point I was so frustrated that I raised my voice a little(big mistake) and told the lady that it wasn't acceptable and that after waiting all that time I didn't want to leave without my son being examined, she then said "sir.... you are being threatening and too assertive", then said my son was endangering himself because he was touching the articulating arms that hold the equipment when he was just sitting as quietly as a 5 yr old can after that length of time tapping on the arm in front of him, she then threatened to call the police to have us removed... Seriously!? A little kid gets impatient and a parent gets frustrated with the ineptitude and she flies straight to threatenng to call the police on them to "have you removed from the building!" Imagine how insulted I was, to be accused in front of my child of deserving to be forcibly "removed from the building" while not swearing at or threatening anyone, just asserting that my child should be examined after having endured the completely absurd wait time for pediatric dental care, and pleading for the opportunity to make phone calls to work it out with the insurance so that he could have documents submitted in time to apply for Kindegarten. What world exists in this ladies' head, where courtesy and patience with a customer's frustrations(whether she personally views them as justifiable or not) has been completely removed from her job description? Nora (Office Manager) also had the nerve to criticise our parenting when my wife called to complain about what happened, bear in mind that the rest of the staff had no problem with our 5 year old, he was very patient for his xrays, and for his teeth cleaning, he was in their office for 2 hours before we finally just left after being accused for the third time. Every 5 year old is going to get antsy and want to touch as much as they can get away with touching after 5 mins of sitting still much more so after an hour or two, and I was putting him in check the few times he started getting too rowdy. It could just be the lady, she's only been there a few months and my wife found another complaint had already been filed about her with an insurance company or board or something like that, story was that she had taken a debit card from a patient's wallet and held it hostage until they agreed to pay an unexpected very large fee???? This place might not be too bad if they can replace her? We gave this place a shot because it was close by our home at the time, and covered by our insurance(also covered by our current insurance as it so happens), personally we'll never set foot in that office again whether they get new management or not, there are much better dental offices in Riverside, and in better locations too(record of drugs and prostitution problems in parking lot), not even worth the time I took to write this review, but it was still good to vent, and hopefully this will help other parents avoid this place. read more

I went to get a check up using a Groupon, shame on me! They told me I needed 4 fillings, I have never had a filling in my life so thought I should get a second opinion from the dentist I've used before who said no way my teeth don't have any cavities. They would have drilled into my perfect teeth for the extra money. Please be warned, don't skimp on your Dental care they should be closed down! read more

I rarely leave yelp reviews but I just wanted to take the time to say that I'm extremely grateful that Village Dental and its staff was there to help. I had a painful tooth ache every time I would eat or drink certain foods. Because I had Medi-Cal I wasn't sure if I would be able to use my insurance at a Dental office. Just so happens there was a Village Dental advertisement in a magazine that came in the mail so i decided to give them a call and at-least get a quote or recommendation. When I called I was greeted by a helpful staff member that took some basic information to set my appointment, turns out they accept Medi-cal. The front office is welcoming and the rooms are neatly organized and clean. I've never had to wait long and even sometimes was seen earlier than my appointment. (Sometimes coming in early pays off.) Each time during my multiple visits a friendly staff member or dental assistant would explain what dental work would be done answered my questions if any and even handed me the remote control to change the TV station if I wanted. I saw two Dentist at different times and each were able to pick up where the last left off seamlessly. They were even able to complete some dental work I had performed from a totally different dentist years ago. Usually after coming from the dentist my mouth is sore for days, however after leaving there and letting a couple hours go by, I forgot I had any work done. All I can say to the staff at Village Dental Care is to keep up the good work. Out of the hundreds of patients that you have seen with just a few negative reviews here and there, Im sure you are doing something right. I didn't go there to rate your personalities or expect everyone to be all smiles and sunshine. I went there to get my teeth corrected by professionals and to move on, but turns out your pleasant personalities were a bonus. I was so nervous about coming to see a dentist because I had been traveling and didn't have insurance for many years. My teeth were in really bad shape to say the least. Luckily i walked in one day to enquire about services when i was in a lot of pain because of some infections. I have to say that the staff is wonderful and very professional. Brenda explained everything to me and was very helpful, polite, and informative. I have been seen by Dr. Medina and Dr. Espino who have eased my phobia of dentists with care and professionalism. They genuinely care about their patients well-being and health. Robert and Francisco the assistants are also very polite and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this office.
