I love this office. Friendly and it never hurts here. I am not a fan of the Dentist office, but this place is great.

I had high hopes after reading some of the reviews on google but I'm now seeing I should have come here first. I did not experience any rude treatment from the staff they were really nice but the communication with the office is horrible. Myself and my 2 sons came in for a dental visits I knew I needed work because I have a cracked crown my sons only had routine visits but turns out they both had a cavity that needed repair. 1 of 2 went very well the other has been in pain for over a week now after getting a filling for his cavity. I have called several times and left messages and have not heard from anyone yet. The worst part is my son never had any pain at all until this filling was done now I can't get a hold of anyone to do anything. read more

I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Gentle Dental after being a paying customer for over 3 years-- and I need to share it so others can be aware before trusting Gentle Dental with their time I arrived 9 minutes late to my appointment, which is well within their 10-15 minute grace period. But instead of being checked in smoothly, Jocelyn at the front desk made me re-fill paperwork that could've been sent ahead of time to stop any delays, which added another 10-15 minutes of time. Even after that, she told me they had already given my seat away -- while I was standing there, ready and waiting, on time by their own policies. I explained I had planned my appointment around my work schedule and needed to be seen, but Jocelyn simply told me I'd have to wait. When I asked to reschedule, she walked away mid-conversation, got on the phone, and made me wait another 5 minutes. When she came back, she asked, "So do you want me to reschedule?" At that point, I had enough and told her I wanted to deactivate my account due to the way I was treated. It only got worse from there. I asked for a corporate number -- she gave me the number to the very office we were standing in. I called it in front of her, on speaker, and the phone rang right at her desk. She ignored the call -- twice. I told her it was ringing in her face, and she dismissed it, saying I wasn't "listening to the options." (There were only two!) Again, she refused to give me a number where I could file a complaint or speak to someone above her. When I stood my ground and said I wasn't leaving until I could speak to someone, she began raising her voice and yelling, then called someone she claimed was a manager and told them I was being rude and disrespectful -- completely flipping the script. At this point, for my own safety, I began recording the interaction. Later, a manager Alyssa called me and was equally rude and dismissive. I told her I wanted told deactivate my plan with them but When I told her the interaction had been recorded, she threatened to have me removed and said, "We're dismissing you as a client." I told her I already left before she called me and she still threatened to have me removed because all she heard was I recorded the whole situation. Let that sink in: after THEY wasted my time, ignored me, and disrespected me, they punished me for standing up for myself. If you value your time, your professionalism, or basic respect as a patient -- do not go to Gentle Dental. Especially if you have good insurance or are paying out-of-pocket -- go somewhere that actually treats people like they matter. Great customer service and great care!! Finally found a great dentists office!! This one's it.

Had a great experience here. I feel like all of the staff was friendly and did what they could to assist, even though we were new patients that had to do paperwork with a change of insurance information that needed to be verified and forms. Despite the challenges the front staff was very helpful and asked me questions to complete the forms and expedite the process for all of my children. I am glad that they prioritized me being back with each one of my children during their appointments and put off the paperwork that could wait. The ortho specialist is wonderful, I wish I could remember her name, but she is great! She was wonderful with all my children and with explaining, and asking them how they felt, making them comfortable. We even had a big glitch, in the middle of our appointments the Internet went down and a bunch of functions for the x-rays and other pieces of equipment were inaccessible, but the ortho specialist still did whatever she could, and got photos and still spent her time to address my kids issues, especially my oldest which was really hurting from jaw pain and very anxious. They then rescheduled us to have a follow up since the Internet went down and they could not provide some functions like some of the X-rays and the simulations for the dental plans. Definitely will be returning again since we had a very positive experience. I can totally understand having to wait at the dentist- it's an appointment and even if it's hours- things take time, especially when verifying insurance and you are new patient or change of insurance. (Plus you are not the only patient) So to see some of these reviews that are so self-centered honestly and have no real reason besides impatience, entitlement, or probably booking an appointment with the wrong gentle dental clinic on accident- since they don't confirm at customer service which location they book you for, which could be why they were not on the list for an appointment, etc.....idk just my thoughts after going there and also being someone who is knowledgeable with my dental plan and knows what it covers I don't feel like there's anything wrong so far with this clinic. I will update and review them again if anything changes, but felt compelled to write this review after visiting and reading multiple reviews here. read more

I booked an appointment with them over the phone and said they could take me the next day. I had to call off work for the appointment since it was a necessary visit. Next day I arrive to place and see no lights on and doors are locked. It was only 3, which is the time I confirmed the visit, when they claim they close at 5. No notice or phone call of them closing early, if that was their case. And left multiple voicemails stating that I had the appointment, and to call back so I can at least reschedule... never got a call back either. Guess this was a sign that this place wasn't for me. So I was looking for an immediate cleaning and didn't read any of these reviews before going in. Since they seem to monitor this yelp account, I am going to state that I have no interest in the periodontist referral. I'm not going to call anyone to fix something if I get billed in error and the attached file is a photo of the receipt of what I paid. I'm supposed to get 2 fully covered regular cleanings a year, and they still billed me for 67.50 dollars. If I get billed a second time for anything else I'm going to be calling one of the fraud agencies. I went in just for a cleaning which I'm used to it only taking 30 minutes. I didn't get out of there until nearly 2 hours later. I spent a lot of my time waiting. The dental hygienist tried to sell me on things so I decided to see how much the insurance would cover for the paste that helps get into pockets of gums to clear out plaque and other things. They asked me to take deep cleanings... I repeated I only wanted a regular cleaning. They tried to sell me things my insurance wouldn't cover and even misquoted me when I said "I had a regular cleaning in September 2021" as previously having a "deep cleaning." Also they wanted to fill in a "cavity" which I declined because I had only gone in there for a cleaning and that "cavity" has been there since 2015 and reportedly hadn't gotten any bigger by my previous dentist. The cleaning was quite rough, and my gums were painful and bleeding after the fact. There are many different people who work there so perhaps the experiences of other clients might be different, but I don't intend to come back and if there are appointments that were automatically made I'll cancel them when notified. I have no intention of paying a no-show bill. read more

Staff are very nice and patient, I was just having too many problems regarding finances, like I had a consultation for braces and they gave me the estimate, but when I went to the actual appointment they tried charging me an additional $3000. Also tried billing me for extractions back in March (they told me it was covered under my insurance and I should've checked to make sure it was true but it wasn't) so I had to pay an additional $480. It was too sketchy and I don't feel comfortable spending my money there. Just be careful and make sure you have all of your information on paper! Always keep documentation of everything! I was super excited to find a dentist so close to home but unfortunately I will be looking for a new office read more

I went here July 28th because I been having pain on my bottom left wisdom tooth. Come to find out I have 4 cavities and in need of a deep cleaning. My deep cleaning and wisdom tooth extraction need to get approved by my medical which they said takes (4-5 weeks). Do to my anxiety I decided to wait for my cavities and do my deep cleaning together. Well it is now September 23 almost going on two months and when I call they are clueless to know if I been approved or not yet. So I do my own investegating and contact the medical dental team just to find out that there are NO documents asking for approval for neither my extraction or my deep cleaning. The medical dental team also informed me that it only takes them 5 -7 days to approve paperwork. Meaning the 4-5 weeks is for the biller to do there job. Which they have not done. I am so much pain and now I have looked into another place who hopefully doesn't do what this place did to me. I would not recommend this place. And don't even comment back with ur automatic reply to complaints this place is horrible. read more

I appreciate the work & treatment I receive from this dentistry. I have extreme trust issues with dentists but I feel very comfortable going to this Gentle Dental office. The staff is very kind & attentive to your needs. They are very transparent with the services you may need & do not do more than is necessary. If I could leave 0 stars I would - I do not recommend this place whatsoever. My mom made an appointment for a routine cleaning - they even emailed to confirm, which she did. The day of the appointment came and when she showed up Mayra told her she never had an appointment despite my mom having a card to show proof. Mayra basically told her "oh well" and my mom made another appointment giving them the benefit of the doubt. Mayra scheduled my mom AGAIN for April 17th, 10 days after the original appointment and gave her a card with the date of the appointment... she again received an email to confirm the appointment, which she did ONCE AGAIN. My mom showed up on the 17th and she was told she wasn't scheduled, despite having a lot of proof that she was scheduled. My mom was frustrated, but really wanted to get her cleaning and was told she had to wait for the patients who had an appointment - she waited and multiple people went in and she was ignored. Once my mom spoke up about when her turn would be the lady very rudely told her she wasn't on the list and they would get to her whenever the dentist had time for her. This is absurd and no client should ever be treated with such disrespect. This place needs new management, because clearly (based on all of the negative reviews) the people currently managing are doing very poorly and will run this place to the ground. Do yourself a favor and go to another dental office! read more

Let me start out by saying I have extreme anxiety especially about dentists and was making my appointment due too a loose crown and broken molar. I explained this when I made my appointment and was assured they understand. No part of my experience here was reassuring let alone professional. I had a 9am appointment and was told I was the first appointment and would be brought right in. The day of my appointment I arrived early in case of any paperwork or anything, I checked in and got the new patient forms filled out. I waited in the lobby for 30ish minutes while other people were brought in ahead of me while my insurance was figured out (understandable). When I did get brought back the assistant started with radiographs. He kept asking me to bite down while shoving the thing in my mouth, I explained I couldn't because it hurt and was pulling the crown further off. His response was "oh, well uh just try." Before again shoving the thing in my mouth again. Once the radiographs were done I was told to wait for the doctor, by this time it was 10:30. The doctor came in didn't even introduce himself and examined my teeth while the assistant noted what he said. He started discussing my concerns and then waved them off and kept talking about things completely unrelated to why I was there and not even in the same side of my mouth. My anxiety was already heightened from the assistant being so aggressive and his poor bedside manner. I kept trying to explain I only was the broken tooth addressed and again the dentist kept talking about something completely opposite. He discussed root canals on a tooth that had already had a root canal and argued with me about veneers I'd had for years. He then told me to wait while an estimate was made. I waited in the chair for OVER AN HOUR before finally flagging someone walking by down to ask how much longer. I was told it was just a lot and that's why it was taking so long but someone would be right there. Another 20 or so minutes goes by and still no one. I again flagged the same person down and told him I needed to know what, if anything was owed for today because my appointment was for 9am and it was now after 11am and no one had done anything. He went and finally got the lady to come over who provided me first with an estimate for deep cleaning.... I was there for a broken tooth. I explained to her that I was done and I wanted to leave and go find someone who would actually help me instead of trying to upsale things and ignore the actual problem. She then showed me the estimate for why I had come in but continued to try and show me estimates for other things I hadn't asked for. I left almost 3 hours after my appointment time with nothing being done and found another dentist who actually addressed my broken tooth. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They are unprofessional and only committed to shaking you down for money for unnecessary things and the dentist who's name I still don't know has no idea what he's doing. I will be placing a complaint with their board as well. read more

My husband and I had back to back appointments scheduled and confirmed MULTIPLE times for today 6/6/2020. We show up at 12:15pm and the location is closed. We called customer service and the first person told us the location was out to lunch due to return at 12:30pm. At 12:45pm we called customer service again only to be told the location is IN FACT CLOSED and that yes WE HAD 2 APPOINTMENTS SCHEDULED TODAY. With a new baby, getting out of the house is difficult and we waited 3 weeks for this Saturday appointment. This is completely unacceptable and a waste of our time. A friend of mine referred me to this office and I couldn't be more happy. Sabrina initially took my call and she politely assisted me w my dental needs, she was able to get my information and get a hold of my insurance right before I got there that way I can be seen immediately. So I had my appointment scheduled for April 2nd @ 12:30 6 months ago. I got my reminder and it said 12 so I called around 10:30 to make sure and they said we have you scheduled at 12. So I get there at 12 update paperwork and wait. At about 12:30 they tell me they are behind schedule and ask if I can come back after 2. I asked how long if I wait and they say about 45 minutes. I decide to wait even though it looks like they scheduled more than 2 people for 12. At 1:30 I ask how much longer and the girl I asked has a different girl tell me that it will still be another 45 minutes. Of course they are behind if they schedule multiple appointments for the same time. So I ask for a copy of my xrays and she says $25. $25 for something I have paid for already read more

I went to get an extraction...I was in a lot of pain, and Dr. Joseph really comforted me. As far as the front office girls, they were all very nice, and made sure that I knew that the extra work was optional. I did not have to get the bone graft done, but I wanted to and so I paid for the additional work. No one twisted my arm, and they helped me with a payment plan even though the cost was not that high. Overall, I had a great experience with them. I loved having Dr. Joseph as my dentist because he makes you feel soooo comfortable, and you definitely get the vibe that he really cares about your dental worries...plus, they were able to get me in on the same day when no one else would... read more

I went here about 3 years ago for a procedure, cleaning out the gums, or roots. They quoted me 12000.00 +/- for the procedure, and they told me if I would sign and start the procedure THAT DAY, that they would give me a $ 1000.00 discount. (does that sound like a used car salesman to you, maybe "Honest john"??) I told them no and price shopped. I found another specialist on my FIRST call who quoted me LESS THAN HALF, of what these shit heads wanted. So......if they're NOT thieves, they sure do play the part good. Dr. Soliman is amazing, even with kids! My 9 year old loves him! He made a tooth extraction and several fillings for her so easy and pain free! She literally did not feel the shots! He has a wonderful "bedside" manner and interacts with children in a way that calms and comforts them. I had my first check up with him and he had the same presence with me. This kind of dentist makes me have faith in dentistry again. Also, the staff here were the only ones willing to work with me in regards to a regular dentist seeing my 6 year old son a year ago. I appreciate them being flexible and kind and trusting that I know my son wouldn't freak out in the dentist chair without being drugged. read more

Dr. Solomon. Is awesome! I went in in horrible pain. He saw me as soon as I got there. Numbed me right away to help relive my pain. He got to work right away! I ended up having to come back the next day and without an appointment he did the same thing. He jumped right into action. Got me numbed and started working! He wouldn't let me leave until I felt better. Then his office staff went out their way to get me in contact with an office near by who could do an emergency root canal within an hr! Dr. Solomon even called me back the next day to check in on me! This man is awesome and has a heart of gold! Hands down 5 stars! I will be back for my crown and deep cleaning. I was referred here to see Dr. Kim to get my wisdom teeth removed. I was so nervous about the process and worried about what my insurance covered. I made the appointment over the phone with Stephanie and she was so kind throughout the process. When I arrived. Kevin at the front desk informed me dr would first see me for a consultation then possible have my teeth removed. Dr explained how everything would go and what to expect after. Kevin came back into the room to informed me what my insurance covers. I was in and out of the office within an hour. I am so happy. Dentist told me to come back in 3 months for a cleaning. I was skeptical that my cleaning would be covered by insurance, so I called them beforehand. They said it would be covered. Came in for my appt, and they said my cleaning was not covered by insurance and to come back in Sept. All told, with drive time and wait time, it took over an hour of my time. They should have offered me some sort of concession for THEIR mistake, but they did not. My first visit, I asked them to get the x-rays taken by another dentist. They did not do that, so they had to take new x-rays. The staff is incompetent on so many levels. My tongue was so sore in the subsequent days after a cleaning that I struggled to even swallow water and a banana. They are the complete opposite of GENTLE. read more

Had my first visit last Friday and everyone from the receptionist to the doctor were very patient and ready to explain in detail the procedures I needed done, including suggesting to go eat a little lunch and come back for my teeth whitening procedure. This is the first dentist I've ever been to that seemed to put their patients needs first and their prices are reasonable. I had a traumatic experience a few years ago from a dentist out of state and the idea of going to a dentist again was frightening, but Gentle Dentist off Indiana Ave. really helped me to feel comfortable.
