Simon took care of all our needs and more. To be especially noted is the peaceful setting, views and lack of noise and smells that you often worry about. Accessibility is great, visiting hours and amount of visiting guest traffic balanced. We never worried about safety or special needs requests. Steve

The home has an excellent atmosphere with open spaces, clean wood floors with minimal obstructions, a sunny patio with a view of Puget Sound, and a mostly warm and professional staff. There's a caregiver on premises overnight, with two caregivers often overlapping in the morning and evening hours. The caregiver-prepared food is good. Caregivers are attentive to medication administration, bathing care, making sure my mom gets enough water, and keeping tabs when she's in the bathroom. In addition they assist with the extras that come up - things like helping mom and us try on different sizes and kinds of underwear to see what fits and what she prefers, or curling my mom's hair in the morning before I pick her up for church. The owners, Simon and Marina, are flexible and work with families to make their loved ones comfortable. Musical performers visit a couple of times a month. We're happy my mom lives in a place she feels comfortable, safe and cared for.

Navigating options for elder parent care is daunting. Cost factors, financial implications, and…read morespecialized needs are all things I knew nothing about but had to grasp so I could find safe care and housing solutions for my mother suffering from dementia. After continuing deterioration resulted in my mom being hospitalized, we had to face the difficult reality that my dad could no longer care for my mom by himself. Kayla, our social worker from Kindred at Home, referred us to Derek Esses - and we could not have asked for a better partner to help find a home that met all our needs. During our initial meeting Derek patiently listened to all the elements that were important to us: a location that was close to my sister's home since that's the neighborhood my dad wanted to live in / care-givers who spoke our native language since my mom would toggle between that and English / a home that cooked food from our culture since mom seemed to be more interested in eating foods that were familiar to her / etc. He asked additional questions (are pets in the house ok ... what about children ... live-in care vs. shift-scheduled care ... etc.) to effectively match our needs with the available options that fell in our price range. Within two weeks, we had three options to discuss. My family and I visited two of the homes, met with the owners and staff, discussed cost factors ... and ... within approximately 6wks from the start of my engagement with Derek, my mom was moved and settled into her new home. Close to six months later, Derek Esses still checks in to see how my mom and our family are doing. I consider him our "local expert" for elder care options and services related to ensuring my folks live their best lives into their golden years. I've reached out with a variety of questions and recently asked if he might help connect relatives in CA with similar resources/services as they are also working through this process with our senior family members. He listens ... is always helpful ... super efficient ... truly empathetic ... and committed to providing exceptional service to his clients and partners. Derek made an emotional and difficult process very manageable for me and my family -- we are so grateful for his kindness, help, and expertise!

She is always having guests speakers come in with interesting topics..she also has a place come to us to keep us up to date on vaccinations..Of course you have your goofy charectars always joking around or clutching their heart making you laugh...we have all the usual like most apts the parking war over who HAS to have certain spots only in unassigned parking! But our trash is picked up daily and they maintain the premises fantastically..good place to live independently in your older age

I just moved into the Providence Elizabeth Housing (part of the HUD housing), located in West…read moreSeattle just right off 35th Ave., Southwest near High Point... I am ecstatic about my move, my son was able to meet with the landlord to do a video walk-through as I was at that time in Lacey Washington.... the landlord/management team here are awesome!!! they are all about the resident and their well being, social services and whatever else they can help with..... plus nice friendly maintenance and neighbors..... I'm gonna post some pictures, I was able to get some better ones than what I actually saw before I sent you the walk-through... It was a little bit smaller than my HD, smidge and smaller in the bedroom and the living room area-it is actually bigger in the bathroom and the kitchen is way larger..... In the kitchen instead of being a one person with a wall with a hole in the middle, there is no wall it's almost like an open concept.... The landlady had mentioned that some other people had a queen bed so she thought it would be no problem for my queen bed-now my bed is unusual because it's being 80 x 60, more like 95 x 70......... my son measured it with the tape before I came here and I was worried when I first looked at the room-thank the Lord bless me as you will see the bed fits the one part of my walk-through closet doesn't have a water heater like my other place so I could put my dresser there and I mounted my TV!!!!!! When I got here, I was over the moon when I confirmed it was no carpet it had all been redone the cabinets and their appliances, the bathroom, the kitchen etc. I felt like I won the lottery, and after meeting the management team here, it doubled that feeling....... I also found out that the West Food bank comes once a week on Wednesday like clockwork and set up little area with the food that they have, and you're able to say yes please or no thank you and I have to worry about how to get it back to somebody if you don't want the item like I had in Lacey!!! Don't get me wrong, we had where they brought the food once a month and a big giant box to your front door-but it's nice not to have to worry about it as you want or not how to get back downstairs!!! And have a beautiful view of trees I can actually see the front door of the building so when my kids show up I know lol.... I want to give a shout out to the management team here at Providence Elizabeth and Providence Elizabeth/HUD for everything that they've done for me!!!!! I've only been here since October 19th, 2024.. So these are current pictures!!!!
