Compared on the level of a Denny's or an IHOP or other restaurant of equal quality. I give this restaurant five stars because: Everything we ordered came out correct even though we special-ordered almost everything. The restaurant is clean and the wait staff is friendly and polite. We even requested a table in a section that they were not using and they were willing to accommodate us so we could watch out vehicle ( our pups were in the truck). I haven't been to a restaurant where they've actually gotten everything correct in years. Congratulations crew you did a good job. For all you managers out there looking at this review we came to your restaurant at 9:15 p.m. on August 15th, 2017.

Shelby was our server and this young lady did a fantastic job helping us pick out our meal choices for brunch, we had never eaten there. While on vacation we wanted a 24 hour breakfast option and Village Inn did not disappoint. They make all the food from scratch including the yummy waffles and crepes. They have a small bakery and hair fresh cakes and pies each day. Large menu selection, and all the food we tried was superb and only $22.89 which was a shock we think they should have charged more. Forget Cracker Barrel or Waffle House chains, go to support local and eat where the locals eat. I had a cheese omelette (2 egg) 1/2 waffle with blueberries, home fries, and 1/2 order of biscuits with country gravy. My husband had 2 eggs medium, cooked to perfection, French toast, thick sliced bacon, Hash browns crispy. The coffee is great, and the restaurant was clean, large, good parking, nice part of town, family friendly with clean restrooms well stocked. We will come back here next vacation out west.

I like the La Junta Village Inn. The food & service is consistently good and the price is reasonable.

HOME COOKING: I had the Chicken Tagine and it felt like a solid value for what you get. The chicken…read morewas tender, the spices were warm without being overpowering, and the sauce had that slow cooked depth you hope for. Portions weren't huge, but neither were the prices, so it felt fair. Drinks were especially cheap, which made it easy to relax and stay a while. Decor is very basic, and you can tell they have a lot of repeat local customers. I can see myself coming back. This is good home cooked food at a good price.

Very nice service. Definitely a family place. I got the family dinner and you can split it between…read moretwo people! For example instead of giving one entree for four people you can do two entrees for two people to try different things! We got the coconut thai stir fry which was interesting and the carbonara. I'm not usually a carbonara girl because I feel like it's so decadent that I get flavor fatigue easily but this has got to be one of the best carbonara's I've had so far. The coconut thai stir fry was interesting... it's kind of old people's favorite meal because it was so mushy. It reminded me of grits in a way. Flavor was there but the texture wasn't for me. We also opted for the salad with ranch which tasted very fresh and homemade. The cherry tomatoes are delicious. We also got the bread and hummus which was also delectable and the olive oil used was very high quality. We added chicken which was solid but maybe a little undercooked for my personal liking Overall I really enjoy this place.

Located inside a food court (which is kind of cool. There are games and activities and a big screen…read moretv where we watched a World Cup game), is an unassuming vegan place called the joint. We read about it, and decided to give it a try. While waiting to order, another customer came back and thanked the staff for "their genius" because the food so completely mimicked its meat counterparts. But without all the processed food products. The staff were happy to answer all of our questions and make some suggestions. The price point is great and the portions are huge. And everything we got was delicious. I agree with the other customer: these were innovative uses of plant products. We got the Cubano, the bae, and some of the birria tacos. And while we didn't order the Reuben, we did talk to them about how they use the celery root to emulate pastrami ... and it was very cool. We also got the Parmesan truffle fries and the maple Brussels sprouts. And they were fantastic accompaniments. Anyway, this was amazing. And I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. It was that good.

I am so glad my family decided to give it a try this time as well! I am the only vegan in my family, but they wanted to come as well which was great! The service initially was slow, as the worker was on a break when we arrived, but we didn't mind waiting at all especially knowing it's a one person show! We ordered the Philly, the Bae, the Rueben, the birria tacos, and the no animal fries. The seating was great for waiting, as they had comfy couches directly in front that fit all 7 of us perfectly. My family and I literally ate every single bite of all the food and it was absolutely delicious! I am always so impressed coming here, and it did not disappoint today! Will be returning on my next trip to Colorado and can't wait!! Thank you for all the amazing people who make the food with love! Super grateful
