Village Garlic Chicken, thin crust with extra cheese. A very, very good pizza.
Adam S.

I have revisited Village Pizza twice now over the last couple of months and have been extraordinarily pleased with the pizzas. Great balance of toppings, slightly crispy crust and plenty of extra cheese per my request. Recommended.

Ordered a pizza well done...this is burnt should be golden brown. pizza dough was very chewy, old. Toppings were ok.

The 8" Village Garlic Chicken Pizza

Excellent, friendly service. Clean. It wasn't what I was expecting. It's walk in and order at the counter. The seating is nice and interior is clean. The lunch special is a good deal. It's one topping 8" inch pizza with salad for $9.99 currently. The salad is humble with basically iceberg with shredded carrots and a tomato slice, but it's a vegetable. I ordered the famous Village Garlic Chicken Pizza and was pleasantly surprised. (It is not part of the special price and will cost a few dollars more.) It was full of garlic flavor, sliced mushrooms, tomatoes, green onions and chicken. Hubby had his go to pepperoni which looked good. Nice crust and great flavor. Mine was so good that I just had to eat the leftovers later. We will be back for a nice local pizza. Warning: No alcohol sold and served. There is a grocery store and a liquor store in the complex though.

Village Garlic Chicken Pizza, Village Salad, and Fried Zucchini

Above average pizza compared to what a generic pizzeria serves. I found the dough to be slightly under cooked, but the tasty ingredients made up for that. I enjoyed the fried zucchini and salad the most. Clean and efficient service!

Antipasta Salad

We were coming back from a local casino and felt like a good pizza. Village Pizza (Bonsall) was rated high, so we decided to stop in and give it a try. Not only was the customer service and recommendations great (House Special Pizza & Anitpasta Salad) but the food and ambiance was great too! If you're in the area, please consider trying Village Pizza. I promise you won't be disappointed. Side note; There menu offers everything from pizza, pasta and deli sandwiches.

The best pizza! We've been dining there since 1999. Now, we also bring our kids' family, and they agree -- it's the best pizza!!

You absolutely must try the Mop Up Pizza, the Mac Burger, and the bacon appetizer--they're all outstanding. Our daughter's rehearsal dinner was held here, and it exceeded every expectation. The staff went above and beyond, creating personalized menus for our reserved tables that featured the bride and groom's names and their rehearsal dinner date. It was such a thoughtful and elegant touch. The dinner selections were chosen by the groom's parents, who generously hosted the evening, and the restaurant thoughtfully omitted prices from the menus so guests could simply relax and order without any concern. It added a level of class and sophistication that we truly appreciated. We could not have asked for a more memorable and personalized evening for our daughter and future son-in-law. The food was exceptional, the service was impeccable, and our guests are still talking about how wonderful everything was. Highly recommend for a special event--or any occasion!

To my surprise Water Shack's burgers were delicious and satisfying that I find myself coming back here ever so often. Their burgers aren't the heavy, greasy/high fat patties you would get from other places. However, their 1/4 lb patties are their smallest patties and heft makes for that ideal bun to burger ratio. Did I need to order double patties on most of my burger orders? Probably not. Their patties are on the leaner side but they aren't dry; and the fixings from any burger you choose will satisfy that meaty burger fix you're looking for. The Chicken Patty Melt is also a very tasty item. Very cheesy, buttery and crispy toasted bread with chicken breast. Their fries and onion rings also come air-fried so this place focuses more on the healthier comfort food options that wont leave you feeling heavy and drowsy. This place is also doubled as a purified water dispensary and also serves baked goods and ice cream. Love this type of no-frills, unassuming place with very friendly staff and serves up some delicious food!

You snooze, you lose. (Funny note: I was told, in no uncertain terms, that they were out of chicken and that I would get extra pulled pork. When I got home, I found a large piece of chicken.) The best option is the Sampler plate. You get six different proteins, three sides, and three Hawaiian rolls. The proteins are chicken, hot link, tri-tip, brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. I thought all of the proteins were very good but I especially loved the hot link. I could have eaten three of these alone. The sides are also very good. The mac and cheese and potato salad--both clearly house made--were excellent. The house made beans were ok but a little hard. I didn't love them. They have three BBQ sauces to choose from (spicy--marked with a giant "X" on the little cup, sweet, and regular. They are all delicious but you really don't need any of them. That is a sign of good BBQ. The sampler plate gives you a ton of food. At $56, it seems expensive but it is not. This plate easily feeds three people and you will probably have some leftovers. I drove 30 minutes one way for this, waited about 15 minutes, and drove another 30 minutes home. It was very much well worth it. Good BBQ is hard to find in SoCal but it exists, if you make the effort. And this is very good BBQ at reasonable prices.

It took me a minute to really decide what I wanted and now I'm craving to come back. I am not surprised how busy it was when we arrived. It definitely confirmed this place is really good. We ordered the cranberry turkey sandwich, Italian and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup to share with an extra side order of sourdough. The sourdough alone was phenomenal. Crusty exterior with a fluffy interior that just melted! I think I scarfed down my sandwich a little too quickly because everything was balanced so well, and the bread absolutely divine. The soup was also great, and paired extremely well with the sourdough bread. I wished there was a location closer to me, however if I'm in the area I will always opt to come here!

I'll start…read morewith what is good here, the selection of organic food as well as alcohol is definitely above average (no hard liquor though unlike Trader Joes). It is comparable to Jimbo's, Lazy Acres, etc. but the produce and deli departments fall short of this greatness by a lot. The sandwhiches from the deli have been wildly inconsistent in my experience; from the price to the portions and overall quality. I am ordering the same sandwhich every time, mind you so it should be the same. One time they forgot to put the meat I circled in it. Sometimes the sandwhich is tiny and feels like a kid's portion. Other times it is a nice portion that's loaded but I would say that is rare. The staff is where things start to degrade as they could use more training in general. Cashiers could be friendlier, deli people need to learn how to read. The store feels a bit cramped and it always seems very busy which I don't like.. I would say this store is a cross between Jimbo's and Major Market or something. There is no self checkout so I have to deduct points there. They do have an express lane at least. Here's another thing I have to deduct points for: they let people solicit right outside the door and they are always there, sometimes even 2 different solicitors. Trader Joes respectably does not allow solicitors in comparison. The prices are decent and certainly better than Sprouts for the most part, but who isn't? About ordering groceries online: They are not on Instacart! They do, however let you order groceries from their website but I am unsure how good it is, haven't tried it. I thought about ordering online and having grocery's delivered and you do get $10 off your first 3 orders if you do this, but I found out I'm just outside the free delivery range by less than a mile and so there is a $10 fee which is pretty ridiculous. There are some hidden fees as well as I ended up buying everything that was in my online cart in person and it was significantly less. To summarize: Pros: - Above average selection of organic and "natural" foods - Prices are better than comparable stores for the most part - Decent alcohol selection (but no hard liquor) Cons: - Solicitors always outside the door - Inconsistent sandwhich quality, portions and price - Store isn't on Instacart - Staff could be better Overall cannot recommend Frazier Farms for reasons I described.
