Village pizza has been an amazing place to eat since I've been a teenager. I regularly see them going through the paces cleaning every nook and cranny of the restaurant. Unbelievable. I am all for supporting local businesses, and I've eaten here many times. But wow...tonight we show up and order a Village Salad (which was good) and a three topping medium pizza. After waiting forever (and having them deliver the wrong pizza to our table), I went up to check on our order. After fumbling around for a couple of minutes behind the counter, they couldn't find our order and said they would remake it for us. Also said it would be seven minutes. 10 minutes later our pizza shows up. We start eating and something is just not right though the pizza looks good. My wife shows me the bottom of the pizza and it's burnt. I really don't know if this is some passive aggressive crap or just the way they cook the pizza now, but I've never seen it anywhere close to this ever. Absolutely do not recommend this place. Not even a sorry, what seemed like the head guy didn't even bother to offer to remake the pizza when I showed him. If you don't give a crap, expect to go out of business. Last time they were very busy and lots of impatient people dining in and getting take out that were waiting too. We are local to the area and we have ordered from here a number of times but I wanted to give them credit and let folks know that if you go, you really need to try the Avocado, ham and Swiss sandwich. Alright. I understand that it's Friday night and all. But how do you forget in house order for several pizzas? Original wait time given was 35 minutes. We were waiting almost an hour before our pizzas finally came out. The kicker? Not that much better than Costco pizza if I'm being generous. Wings were tiny and wimpy looking. I saw a cockroach while eating and hate to see a place I used to love go such downhill. Ambiance: empty for the most part. They have big tvs playing basketball games that no one watches and is super loud. Weird art on the wall. And yellow lighting that it out of date. Village Pizza is heralded by everyone I know from the area as the best pizza they've ever had. The pizza here is always good in the last several times I've been here over several years. My boyfriend and many others I know have been going to village pizza for YEARS and always have amazing things to say about the place. For dinner this time we got the 14" (Large) Village Garlic Chicken Pizza and it was perfect. There's a liquor store around the corner from Village Pizza too, so we got some drinks there and took the pizza home. We were able to order the pizza over the phone and then pay when we picked it up. Took only about 30 min and the pizza was hot and ready for us when we got there. Taste was amazing and the ingredients are good quality. It's easy to tell that they care about their food quality. This place is great! My boss and coworker got me to try this place awhile back and it's really good. The menu is simple to look at. The time to get your food is quick and everything smells and looks amazing. The Restaurant itself is very clean and it has such a family-esk feel to it. When you walk it, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Even during the lunch rushes they are always nice and conversational. When it comes to the food, I always either get a medium pepperoni pizza or the Monster sandwich lunch special. The sandwiches are sooooo good. The lunch special comes with a side salad and your choice of ranch or vinaigrette or both. I usually get both because then the salad tastes tangy. The pizza is always great when I order it. The pepperonis are plentiful, the cheese is just the right amount and the crust isn't over done. If you're looking for a great spot for lunch then I definitely recommend Village Pizza. Order takeout and they'll tell you 30 minutes, but don't actually put your pizza into the oven until you show up, so you wait around for another 30 minutes with other disappointed customers just to get a rushed pizza. They really need to quit messing around with the brick fire ovens and just get a conveyer oven.
