    Molly, the best wedding crew

Absolutely Spectacular Wedding Venue! Monserate Winery is truly one of the best places to celebrate a wedding! The venue was absolutely breathtaking, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the entire crew and wedding staff were spectacular from beginning to end. A very special mention to Molly, who went above and beyond in taking such wonderful care of us and the other guests. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made an already beautiful celebration even more memorable. We had an absolute blast celebrating Jashca & Kyle Marmolejo's beautiful wedding -- 8/21/26! What an unforgettable day in such a gorgeous setting. Bravo Zulu to the entire Monserate Winery team! You helped make this special day truly amazing. Highly, highly recommended! Congratulations again, Jashca & Kyle! Here's to a lifetime of love, laughter, and beautiful memories!

I had visited Monserate Winery before their remodel, but this was my first time back since all of the renovations were completed. The transformation is absolutely amazing! The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for spending an afternoon. One thing to note is that they now have a weekend policy requiring guests to be **21 and over** for wine tasting. From what I understand, children are still welcome if they're attending a private event, such as a wedding, since those are held in a separate area. The winery now features a restaurant, a gift shop, and a spacious tasting area with both indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a dedicated members-only lounge and tasting area, which is a nice perk for wine club members. My sister and I shared a salad and a pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. There was live music during our visit, and it was played through speakers throughout the property so everyone could enjoy it, no matter where they were seated. The servers were friendly, attentive, and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Monserate Winery is a beautiful destination with great food, excellent wine, and a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting, whether you're stopping by for a tasting, a meal, or just to enjoy the scenery.

Still the best winery in San Diego! Ambiance is so relaxing and service is still the best! Thanks Maxwell for taking care of us!

This place is beautiful. I loved the seating areas, water feature, and live music--they really add to the overall atmosphere. It's smaller than many of the wineries in Temecula, which means better service and a more relaxed, intimate experience. The food was decent overall. The Brussels sprouts were easily the standout dish, although I wish they came with a little more pork belly. The meatballs were also delicious, and honestly, the bread was the best part. The pizza was a bit disappointing for me, as it lacked flavor. I tend to prefer a hot honey pepperoni style pizza, and a drizzle of something on top could have helped elevate it. The portions are very generous. I believe they offer a smaller portion of the Brussels sprouts in the tasting room, but it wasn't listed on the sit-down menu. I didn't realize there were different portion options until the large plate arrived. The Brussels sprouts and pizza are easily enough to share among four people, while the meatballs are more appropriately sized for a couple. The larger portions help justify the cost, but it still feels a bit pricey. Personally, I'd prefer the option of a smaller Brussels sprouts portion at a lower price point, and I think offering pizza by the slice would be a great addition.

We came on a Sunday and it was pretty crowded at 12pm, but thankfully we made reservations ahead of time. Customer service could be improved because when we first arrived we were not greeted and it appeared the hostesses were annoyed at each other and confused when discussing where to seat us. They were arguing about one side being too full and some servers needing to double up on tables. The restaurant was full, yet the atmosphere was aesthetically nice. Our sandwiches were well portioned and really well made, especially my chicken sandwich, it was delicious and flavorful. We also ordered the focaccia appetizer, which was just mediocre. I usually love focaccia, but unfortunately this one was quite dry and disappointing. Overall we had a great time and the ambiance and sandwiches were the highlight. I also liked the live music playing outside in the courtyard.

We were at the Winemaker's Club Pickup Event last weekend, and had a wonderful time! The event was well organized: checking-in, plenty of good tacos, and a surprise music treat by Javid and Naoko. (I am a fan!) Their new event venue was GORGEOUS with waterscape with a waterfall and a serene open nature feel. Monserate Winery keeps everything classy, and that's why we love this winery! The Winemaker's Club was a nice new option, and I am glad I changed my membership to it. I hope we will have more club events like this in the future. Cheers and thanks!

Parking 3/5 -There are limited parking spots in the lot that can make parking difficult when they're busy. Service 5/5 -Friendly staff that offered recommendations and minimal wait time for food to come out. Food 5/5 -Bruschetta $18, six decent pieces that's refreshing and a great appetizer to share with -Lamb Ragu $28, it tastes exactly like what it looks like, it's hearty and satisfying with tender shredded lamb that doesn't taste gamy -Steak Frites $35, the steak did not feel hot like it was freshly made but it was tender and tasted great. I asked for truffle fries and they were generous with the portion and very delicious! Ambiance 5/5 -The interior was elegant and dining area was on the quieter side which we really appreciated.

Been here a few times with friends and it's always a wonderful time. We sat in the members lounge and had Maxwell as our server. He was wonderful. He made sure we had a nice visit and was so helpful. It made some great food recommendations. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Plenty of seating. The wines are great. Try the Fedele and the Monte Luna. Those were my favorites.

I'm still in love with Monserate. There are multiple wines that are a great fit for all palates. They've expanded their menu with an assortment of apps and main dishes. I love the truffle fries, the burger, pizza, desserts, chef specials, and a number of other items on the menu. The ambience is absolutely beautiful. There are waterfalls on the exterior and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. The staff are all kind and personable. They make it a great experience every visit. I would recommend to anyone to become a member to get wine shipments and wine/food discounts. There aren't too many wineries that have great wine and great food...this one manages to do both!

Came here with my daughter and grandson for an early dinner. Walking up to the front entrance was very pretty with flowers and trees. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and it was very peaceful and relaxing. The service was good. Got our food quickly. We ordered a few things to share. Started off with the crisp pear salad which was very fresh and flavorful. Loved the pomegranate and candied walnuts in it as well as the thinly sliced pears. We also ordered the crispy brussels sprouts. They were probably the best brussels sprouts I've ever had and I loved the pork belly in it and pickled red onion on top. My grandson had the kids cheese pizza. We also split the Monserate classic burger and opted for truffle fries and OMG best fries ever! Nice and crispy on the outside. The burger was top notch. Cooked perfectly and was so tasty and juicy. For dessert we had vineyard delight cake. Never had a dessert quite like this. It was good. The whole meal was excellent. No complaints. I need to come back here when I'm in town.

    Wedding reception meal was delicious!!

Having welcomed a newborn just a week ago, my wife and I have been entirely too sleep-deprived and busy to cook. What started as a simple errand ended up being one of the most heartwarming experiences we've had in a long time. When I ordered, Bella at the deli register kindly let me know there would be about a 20-minute wait due to call-in orders, offering me water and fresh bread while I waited. Since my wife and week-old baby were waiting in the air-conditioned car, I brought them inside to sit with me. Shortly after we sat down, a family dining nearby noticed our baby and struck up a warm conversation. A moment later, one of the women from the family came over to congratulate us and offered us some fresh pastries. She returned to our table with two pistachio-filled croissants and two espressos--a gesture that, given our level of sleep deprivation, couldn't have been more appreciated! I later learned from Bella that this incredibly kind woman was Valeria, a member of the Giuseppe family who owns the restaurant. As for the food itself, we got the Gloria sandwich on focaccia. It is honestly one of the best sandwiches we've ever had--so good that this was actually our second time ordering it in three days! I cannot thank Valeria, Bella, and the Giuseppe family enough for their exceptional hospitality and generosity. We left feeling truly cared for and look forward to being regular customers for years to come.

It's tucked into a quiet shopping center with easy parking and looks decent from the outside, but the inside was packed and loud enough that we could barely hear each other. The service felt completely indifferent from the start. I had made a reservation and noted that it was for a birthday, but the host didn't acknowledge either. Instead, we got an uninspired, "How many? Two? Follow me." That lack of attention continued throughout the meal. The bar was out of ingredients for my cocktail, so I ended up with an overpriced $14 glass of Zin. Worse, no one mentioned any shortages before we had time to look over the menu. After deciding what to order, my fiancé was told they were completely out of veal--even though veal is the base for around few different entrées. Appetizer: The beef carpaccio didn't match the menu description. When I pointed it out, the server simply brought some cheese to the table. It was just okay, but ultimately the best savory part of the meal. Both entrées were major disappointments. My shrimp scampi had rubbery, overcooked shrimp with okay garlic pasta that I could have made better at home. My fiancé's replacement chicken dish was heavily oversalted, with some pasta and vegetables on the side. The only bright spot was dessert. We grabbed a couple of treats from the display on our way out, and the mini cannoli and lemon gelato cheesecake were both great. Skip the homemade lemon cheesecake, though--it tasted more like barely sweetened yogurt. Overall, between sub-par , missing menu staples, and disappointing entrées, this was not the birthday dinner we were hoping for. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

I ordered the pasta of the day, a tortellacci pasta with short rib and cheese covered in a cream demi glaze sauce, and my partner ordered the ravioli al formaggio di capra, a goat cheese and parmesan cheese stuffed ravioli with spinach and tomato cream sauce. Upon arrival, my dish looked quite lackluster. It was about 5 pieces of stuffed pasta covered in a beige sauce and dribbled with squares of short rib. There was a thin film over the sauce, which made me think it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a bit, which would have been okay if the food was good. The taste was underwhelming yet a little too salty. I should have taken a picture of the food, but imagine a hamburger helper beef stroganoff colored pasta sauce--bland and tan. My partner described his dish as something that was once frozen, then reheated, as the pasta felt a little undercooked. He says it was "mid" but "not as bad as Olive Garden". Overall, this place seems nice for a few drinks and maybe some apps. It's possible that we ordered their weakest dishes, but I fear I will not be returning to find out.
