Reservations are required and we were on the wait list before receiving a call that we were in. The space is an old church that has been updated beautifully with a large kitchen, two elevated seating areas and enough space for a table that seats 20. Our dinner started with charcuterie with oysters and littlenecks being shucked by the oyster farmer himself. There is a small bar with bottles of wine, a signature cocktail, beers, and you can do pairings for the meal. If you order a bottle of wine, the staff will keep it cold for you and refill as needed. We met the chef and they did a brief lobster preparation demo and discussed the meal. After meeting our dining partners for the night, we found seats at the table and started with a beautiful salad of local greens and a homemade green goddess dressing. Next, family-style platters with potatoes, carrots, and green beans were brought out followed by huge trays of mussels, lobster, and littleneck clams, and then bowls of local sausage with gravy. The food was over the top fantastic and there was so much to eat. For dessert, there were fresh biscuits, strawberries, and cream. It was a nice light end to such a great dinner. The staff truly care about the experience and make the experience seamless. We even ran into Derrick, the owner, at a local cheese shop the morning of our dinner, and he was excited to meet us and chat with us at dinner. If you enjoy fine dining and meeting new people, this is the perfect experience for you.

Before taking that drive, was going to call them to check their hours, only to find out they had closed permanently. Boo! However, further research showed that TBF was open, and closer to where we are visiting. So, everyone else was busy doing other things, so I headed down by myself to go take a look. I'm looking for yarn and tools to knit myself slipper-socks and mittens, and souvenir yarns. It doesn't look that big a place from the front of the shop, but it's long and narrow, with plenty of yarn and inspiration in it! When I walked in, the shop clerk was sitting at a table, knitting, watching for clients. She put her project down right away, and helped me find what I needed (good thing I had brought the book with me!) And as I've just finished knitting a pair of socks, I needed a new project, so I asked if she could wind the yarn up for me, which she did. It's a lovely shop! If I lived closer, I'd take time to sit and knit there on a regular basis. PS: the clerk told me that they've been open only since June 1st! Bravo and kudos!! Good luck too!

They are a year-round market, located outdoors in the parking lot of Salisbury Greenhouse from the third week of April to mid-October, and inside Salisbury Greenhouse for the remainder of the year. The lush scenery of the Greenhouse surrounds the market during its indoor season, providing customers with the feel of a tropical vacation in the middle of the week. A small amount of fine antique furniture items is also part of the gallery mix. Whenever I have a special gift that I want to give or whenever I want to treat myself, this is the first and last place that I head to, because I always find something out-of-the-ordinary at Details Past and Present.
