The owner and his family are dishonest. I took brand new silk pants for alteration. Pants still had tags attached. When I came to pick up my order pants were stained with blood and I was told that I stained them. No apology, no offer to clean these stains. They are rude, dishonest and can not be trusted. They lost a very expensive article of clothing that I had only worn a couple of times. I gave them 2 weeks to try and locate the article of clothing. After several calls, I finally went in to see what they would do in terms of compensating me for the missing item., The owner (male) became very defensive and said that they would only CREDIT 50% value of the item toward future cleaning. REALLY. Do you think I would ever use this establishment again. Maybe they should understand that they owe their customer care, custody and control of the items that a customer brings in. I have been going to this location for 2 years. 2 weeks ago I brought in a pleated skirt (value $300) and they essentially ruined it...took out all the pleats. I went in today as I had left it in the cleaning plastic to travel until I was going to wear it again and that was when I discovered the problem. Not only did they not take any accountability to fix my skirt, they said it was my fault for not discovering the issue sooner. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER. First time coming to this dry cleaner since I'm new to the area I just bought my comforter set and it wasn't cheap, I took it here to get it washed because I didn't want my little washer/dryer to ruin it well after waiting two days and receiving my comforter back I brought it home and put it on my bed to find they ripped a hole in it and didn't even have the decency to tell me. I don't understand how this place even gets two stars. They ruined my favorite black dress for which I had paid $28.00 for cleaning. Somehow, I never even asked how much it would be but $28 for one dress is prohibitive! I showed the owner the dress and asked what he would do- his response- NOTHING!!!!! Not even the $28 returned. All I want to say is- there are many other cleaners so don't go there. They are disgraceful and as a local business, they should have done something. Not even a sorry! I had a wedding to go to and I needed my dress pressed. It was a brand new dress that I had just purchased for $60 at Off Saks Fifth Avenue. I brought it into the Village Dry Cleaners on the corner of Woolbright and Military. When I picked up the dress it was in its bag and seemed fine. When I got it home I decided to try it on before the wedding for a friend to see. I was traveling out of town for the wedding to Massachusetts and she just wanted to see how it looks on. When I put it on there was a mark all the way down the back of the dress that looked like it had been melted by whatever mechanism they used to iron the dress. When I went back to the dry cleaners with only a day before departure to the wedding I shared my concerns of the damage to the dress with the owner of the dry cleaners. This man refused to reimburse me the cost of the dress, and he said that I brought the dress there with the damage already on it. As I said I had just purchased the dress and there was no damage to the Dress it had clearly happened at that dry cleaners. I would not be so upset with this business had the man taking responsibility for the fact that the damage was caused due to the pressing mechanism. He was incredibly rude to me and refused to take responsibility for the damage. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed with a business in my life. I would definitely not recommend you bring your clothes to this business because when there is a problem they do not take responsibility at all.v read more

If I could leave no stars I would. This place is the worse. Do NOT go here and do NOT get anything hemmed especially a gown. My friend and I brought our bride's maid dress here and they completely ruined the dresses and created a huge problem for us! I live 40 minutes from he dry cleaners and had to take my dress immediately to a professional which I should have done from the beginning. I had a bad feeling from the start when I went to this place with my friend. I should have done my research and will never make this mistake again! I bring my dry cleaning here every other day. The service is completed in a timely matter (2 days but they do offer same day if needed). They're very friendly, always greeting me with an excited smile. I've never had any problems with them My work pants tore one day and I had to get them fixed. Unfortunately, my search for a good dry cleaner continues. I brought in canvas flooring for a customers boat...They said they would be able to clean with no problem and they charged me very little for 2 day service which was great. When I went to pick it up everything seemed fine although I could see one small area that was still dirty but OK, no big deal. Until later when I was told the flooring didn't fit as they shrink it and we are probably going to have to get new flooring for the customers boat. I recently brought a maxi dress in for some tailoring. A hem was to be made and because there was a detailed border on the hem the seamstress agreed to make sure the border was replaced on the hem as it als matched the border around the neckline which adds a nice detail to the dress. When I returned home I noticed not only was the border missing from the hem but it had been ripped out from the neckline. This is vandalism of a garment and I am considering suing the dry cleaners. I will never use this establishment again and I suggest to readers that they do not do so either. read more

There is no no star rating,which is what this business deserves. They gave me back someone else's pants. When I took them back to let them know they all but accused me of lying! They said they have tapes of all incoming work...blah, blah. Bottom line,they lost my pants. So, being a nice person, I gave them back the wrong pants, as they also messed some one else's order. At least that person wouldn't have the same inconvenience as I. The person said they would look for my pants and to give them a few days, which I did. When I went back, again, they insisted that they did not make a mistake. By the way, I am a size 1X, the pants they gave me were a 6! That is a mistake. So, not only did they not replace the value of the pants, $50, and return what I paid for work done......no- they gave me $25, and basically said take it or leave it! Again, all while telling me about the tapes they have of all incoming work. Funny, I'll bet those tapes do not record sizes! NEVER AGAIN...and for anyone who cares....do not go there! read more

They lady charged me $27 dollars to hem the bottom of my dress. This is price gouging and I will never return or send anyone I know here. I asked her to please negotiate the rice with me since that is more than I paid for the dress and she would not. Horrible. read more
