I went to the Dry Cleaners for alterations. The seamstress came in the changing room. She said I should ignore the girl at the desk. She said she would alter my clothes at her home. Today I got a text. She wanted to know when I would pick up my clothes. Strange. Then she sent a text she was waiting in her car with my clothes. I wanted to pay inside the store with AmEx. She wanted me to go get cash. I refused. She said that I could pick up my clothes the next day. She insisted to know what time I would be there. I refused to play her game. I went home. I called and asked for a manager. The seamstress took over the phone. Then she hung up the phone. I called back and explained what happened. Once again the seamstress took over the phone. The air on all kinds of fees, like an extra dollar for a white shirt which they don't tell you they add on another fee at the end for 2000 even know what that was for. They're a colossal rip off no way actually they deserve to be closed. read more

I dropped of a jacket for cleaning. First time customer. Employee wrote on receipt 25% off for first time customer. Went to pick up and the employee waiting on me had no idea how to discount the 25%. I wanted to share my experience with this business. The price to shorten a hem of a dress at the Fountain Dry Cleaners was $38. When we stopped by to ask if they can do it and how much it would be, they said it depends on the work. When we got the dress back (dress that costs $50) the charge was $38. If this is not a robbery, I don't know what is. read more

Well to be honest I was extremely disappointed in their service while the young counter girl was pleasant and nice the opportunity to help a customer looking for two blazer buttons for a jacket was extremely not at all customer friendly. The tailor pulled out a box of hundreds of gold styled buttons which I looked through to see if there was a match. Seeing that I found four buttons out of the hundreds that matched she proceeded to say they're a match set and they would be $18 and my understanding which some other person came over and said we don't sell buttons only to replace ones I assume they loose. I happened to be a new customer as I had a free coupon for cleaning which I did use but customer service like this just doesn't sit right with me as they should have went out of their way to service customers so they will come back. A button cost a few pennies and they lost me as a customer and I live in a development very very close. I'm giving them 2stars as the cleaning looks ok and the counter girl was pleasant but their pricing is quite high and the customer service was not extremely good to require such pricing. After going to this business for 10 years I recently had a problem with a discoloration of a gold embellishment on a dress. I was just questioning if the chemicals had got on it and discolored it. The owner was rude, defensive, belligerent, and starting making up ridiculous reasons of what the residue was; (a necklace I was wearing, etc.) Refused to give me a refund. I don't know how other people came to the conclusion that the Fountains of Boynton Beach Dry Cleaners was a bad cleaners. I've been going there and I've received nothing but courteous and considerate customer service. Michelle, their on-site tailor has been my life saver. If she thinks it's not worth it to tailor something, she'll tell me and save me the money. Are they the most reasonably priced, probably not. However, it's an upscale area and competitive with other cleaners in the area. read more

i took a brand-new ball gown to be altered. there is a nude colored mesh material attached to the v' neck. the material was stained by the seamstress during the alteration. the owner stated that the employee probably had greasy hands and had caused the staining during the sewing process. she tried to topically clean the dress, and said the stain would disappear when it dries, but if not bring it back for deep cleaning. i returned it for deep cleaning the following day as there were now additional stains from her topical treatment. the deep cleaning did not remove the stains. we had to return several days later to talk to the owner, robin, who then accused me of bringing the dress in stained in the first place and refused to do anything else. this dress was brand new and hadn't been worn. does she think that i bought a stained ball gown? i paid $98.00 for the alteration which was a lot more than the vendor had quoted, but since i felt a small vendor that i had used in the past would do a good job in a shoter period of time than the multiple chain where i had purchased the gown i agreed to the higher price. was i wrong!! she is dishonest, rude and insulting. the owner has no regard for her responsibilities and i doubt will comment on this complaint. some people sholdn't be in business, and she is a glowing example of just that. Robin is a liar, BUYERS BEWARE, avoid this place at all costs, there are plenty of reputable places around that are a pleasure to deal with. FYI, Bloomingdales cost was $68.00, so you make statements without knowing the facts, all part of your modus operandi. read more

Sorry I didn't see the other review before going here. They charged my husband $13.25 for just pressing his suit and 2.75 for laundering shirts. This place is really a ripoff . Never going back there and I suggest finding other more reasonable cleaners in the area. read more
