I recommend the bar. If Jordan is behind the bar, buckle up and enjoy the ride. He is…read moreknowledgeable, cool and great to chat with. His knowledge of the area, music and drinks is awesome. For dinner Parker took care of us. The Korean fried chicken was really good. The grounds were well kept and was pretty cool. But was a little disappointed in the manager and some of the hotel amenities. But the room is nice. Service for bar and food was great. Service for checkin and trying to manage the reservation not great.

It was frenetic and rushed. It also felt like an extended sales pitch with the price list explained for each space we were shown and also slightly off-putting to hear $, $, $ during the tour. We did hear some interesting facts, but it was a rapid fire oratory that was sometimes difficult to comprehend due to delivery speed. (Imagine drinking water from a fire hose.) We were also a bit perplexed at the info provided about the popularity of the place for events, the cost of the building materials, and then viewing the property condition which was in a sad state. We started in the ballroom, which had large ceiling water stains and poorly patched areas and then proceeded to the main hall 1st and 2nd floors and viewed fleur de lis ceiling decals peeling from the surface as well as gaping holes. Finally, we were shown a hotel room that had a distinctive musty odor and then the top floor rooftop entertainment space with peeling and bulging stucco. The outside areas were equally unimpressive with poorly maintained landscaping with extensive sod replacement and burnt boxwoods, potholed asphalt, and exterior trim with peeling paint. We were told that the 3 chandeliers in the 2nd floor were $60,000 EACH, but that isn't what we noticed. (Including photos with my review demonstrating the peeling decorative decals and multiple holes in the surrounding ceiling.) We opted to leave following the tour after considering the on site restaurant's menu based on prices and offerings. We did peruse the gift shop and it had some interesting items. We had also considered returning in the future to attend a murder mystery dinner, but have decided this is a one-and-done experience. Hoping the investor group will consider a maintenance fund for the property.

Staff was so friendly and kind, and the breakfast was always fresh and well provided. The new coffee machines are a nice touch. Fitness center had a good amount of weights, treadmill, bike, and elliptical. Lots of towels and fresh water. Will absolutely stay here in if in the area. Had a similar experience at the one in Louisville.

Good desk & chair, also the charging plugs were absolutely modern, USB and regular power all over the place. Solid free WiFi. Two stars for the windows that didn't open, no fresh air possible, our room smelled like a gym locker room unfortunately, had to cool the place down into the 60s to try to get the humidity out. In desperation we let the bathroom fan just run all the time. If you reserve a "suite" here that just means you get one room with a fold out couch, it does not mean you get two separate rooms. Modest free breakfast. Absolutely no fruit. Super cool automatic pancake machine lol, every child including this one was/will be fascinated *if* you're lucky enough that it's loaded & running that day. Small but very nice pool. Unfortunately I forgot my suit so didn't get to try it :(
