I…read morestarted looking for quality replacements on the Internet because I do not drive and it is difficult for me to get around. I found Oriental Furnishings and became intrigued. Their selection was amazing. However, most importantly was their reviews. Every one I read was favorable or better. (Yes they can be better than just 5 stars) I decided on 2 rosewood plant stands and a rosewood coffee table but I wasn't sure if the colors matched. So I called their phone number and spoke to Bill. (who I later discovered that he was an owner) He couldn't have been nicer. He listened to my needs and put me on hold to check if the colors matched and if they were still in stock. Within minutes he returned with "yes" to both questions. I had asked if it was possible to have the items delivered into my home since I am 69 years old and disabled. He said he would arrange it but it might take 2 weeks. I said fine and I was very satisfied. He called me the following week and said they could be delivered in 2 days, a Friday. That was fine with me. At approximately 11:00 am an SUV drove up to my home. It was my furniture. The gentleman knocked on my door and asked if I was expecting a delivery. I said yes and he started to bring them. I told him that Bill, who I spoke to on the phone, was a really nice guy and extremely helpful. He then introduced himself as Bill. He told me his driver didn't show up today so he drove from Connecticut to Long Island to deliver my furniture. Without me asking, he unpacked and checked everything to make sure they were ok. He even removed the packing material. I have to say, they were beautiful. The colors were perfect and I couldn't be happier. In this day and age it is very rare that you find someone that is so considerate and caring of others. My entire dealings with Oriental Furnishings was fantastic and I highly recommend that you look there for you Oriental furniture and decorating needs. You will not be sorry. If you remember, in the beginning of my review, I said a company could be better than 5 stars. Now you understand why. Bill was absolutely fantastic to work with and when it's times to purchase more furnishings, I will only use Oriental Furnishings!

The rim was defective so I brought it back to the store. The owner, an older Indian man told me they no longer carry that line because there was a total recall for that product so he had to send it all back. He also advised me that I should not use my pots and pans because of the recall. So I asked him where does that leave me. He told me that there was nothing he could do for me and I was out of luck. I asked him if he can resend all of my pots and pans back that I purchased from him and maybe he could get my money back too. He told me no. He then became Extremely dismissive towards me and would not continue to speak with with me to try and resolve my issue of being out over $1000. The older Indian man (the owner) walked away from me and dismissed me. I then asked to speak to the manager, and the manager, gave me back to the owner. It wasn't until I became loud and demanded a contact person for the company of my pots and pans. (Swiss Diamond Cookware). The owner gave me an old brochure with the number on it. I contacted customer service told them my problem and they did not hesitate to send me a new pot. Swiss diamond cookware customer service also told me that they have sales going on the year round as well as coupon year round and I could buy directly from their company with free shipment. Customer service also told me that there is not a recall on their products that cooks nook just does not carry their products any longer. I can guarantee you the way I was treated and misled. I will never give that company. Cooks nook another penny of my money.

Cook's Nook is clean, well-lit, and well-organized, and it has a broad selection of quality cooking tools scaled for HOME COOKING and even the odd specialty implements you would never find at a big box retailer. I don't know if they are locally owned, but the staff was helpful and friendly. If you love to cook, this place is Mecca.
